When you start riding, before you leRn any tricks just ride and make weird turns, ride off curves and get comfortable pushing. Because the first thing you need to do is get comfortable on your board, then start learning little tricks.

I remember Tony Hawk going on Nickelodeon one day in the 90s and taught me how to do an Ollie with his hand motions and I learned right away with how easy he explained it and have been skating ever since. Love that this stuff exists. Reminds me of just that, same teaching style. I remember that so vividly to this day.

I absolutely love this trick! Here's a trick I learned when trying to pivot my board,
My front foot would land on the edge of the board (The edges being the long sides of the board parallel to you while riding) which made it very difficult to land and roll away. I found that I could position my front foot towards the opposing edge when setting up, scooting my foot either more forward or back from where you are facing while riding the board. This helps your front foot land more in the center of the nose. I hope that helps!!!

Today I bought my first skateboard. It was a total impulse buy, but I wanted to paint and build my own. After loving skating for so long but never being allowed to do it because of my parents I bought a board. During quarantine I got into braille videos and was inspired to finally try skating. Recently i saw a video and found out that gabe is the same age as me and was even more inspired. So suffice to say thank you braille. And as a college grad looking for work or just a solid work connect I’d love to send a resume

I bought a skateboard last year. It stayed in my closet for a really long time. You guys motivated me to start again. THANK YOU !!

I started skating again last month after being out of it for almost 20 years. When I was a kid I could never land frontside 180s because I'd always try to spin my entire body and the board would just fly off. After working on getting my ollie back over the last two weeks I tried one last night using the advice in this video and stuck it first try. It really is all in the shoulder rotation.

Got comfortable with ollies probably last week or so and now just recently landed my first legit front side 180s. I thought it would take me months to get it right but Aaron broke it down in such a way that I learnt it quickly, even my friends are surprised🙂 Props to you Aaron, I am falling in love with this sport!!

To even land a front side shuvit it took me trying over, over, And over again. Commitment is the key for skating. Thank you braille for all the love.

Oh hey that was actually pretty helpful. Thanks. Still struggle to be more relaxed and don't overthink, and will try to just push my front part of the foot down for an ollie.
