Victory Gundam is what gundam series always are, an anti-war message on how cruel the war is, not only to the soldiers but also to the child who has nothing to do with it. that's why I love this series so much.

The Rhythm Emotion final version (the one with the beeps) has much higher quality animated and changed some scenes out to the point where the version you watched almost looks like a fan animation so I'd recommend giving it a look if you get the chance

I got into Gundam in like 2011 I think it was because I saw a quick little trailer of Gundam unicorn which was coming out that year and the music score just blew me away so I had to watch everything from the beginning and that summer I watched every Gundam series that was produced in release order to get to unicorn and it was amazing one of the best choices ever made I got heavily into building the model kits I had a UA-cam channel about building the model kits and that UA-cam channel actually got me a job at a local store that sold mostly gundam model kits

I'd say X is more of a comedic series, despite the bleak setting. Hell, when it comes to post-apocalyptic settings, this one is one of the more pleasant ones to live in! It's such an interesting work that not only provides a "what if" version of Zeta, but reexamines one of the most major elements of the UC setting, that kinda ruins post-X depictions of it for me *cough* Gundam Unicorn *cough*. X introduces the post-apocalyptic setting and brings emphasis to the Moon, which seamlessly leads into Turn A, sort of coupling the series in that way. If you ever do Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny, you could probably make that it's own video, since it has a total of 9 openings lol

second comment, the turn A was design with lot of care and innovation. It has a theorical powerplant directly from startrek called a singularity core. It even has nanite coating that auto repair the mobile suit it has a Funnel and new type weapon called the moonlight butterfly that are the same nanite that expel from the gundam back and will effect anything around in the show does wing are particaly show and greatly explain how dangerous and powerful it truly is. but because of the pilot inexperience of war and the technology behind the discovered Turn A Gundam, it is overly under utilized. There moment were that movile suit show sign of having interstellar engine and warp capability. And it all thanks to how it was design. Sid Meed, also work on the USS Enterprise design from the TOS era. And you can see sign of that model on to the gundam design itself.

"Heero Yuy" (Wing Zero: white, blue, and red, with the large green circle in its chest, buster cannon, plasma saber, and large shield, also, it's easy to confuse shenlong and wing zero, as they look similar) (and for a bit: Epyon, too): he's the "bad boy", long before there was Sasuke in naruto, there was "Heero Yuy" lol, with the staple anime mc hair style and brown hair, wearing the green tank top and dark shorts) 2. So I'm not sure if it was mentioned but an important part of Gundam Wing is that none of the Pilots were told about each other so they each think they are the only one which causes... let's just say tension. Also good and bad are ALWAYS relative in Gundam.

Gundam X is probably the most underrated series because it's actually really great. Great characters, fascinating worldbuilding, good designs, etc... (Alos, he's not a Char Clone, he's a Quattro Bajeena clone) Wing otoh, is probably one of the most overrated, cause it gets pretty stale pretty fast. Turn A Gundam is the best thing Tomino has made. That's just a fact. (So much so that people have been stealing from it for years. The ending of AoT is basically a bargain bin version of Turn A's ending)

Best I've built so far, though, Real Grade Hi-Nu Gundam, from the novel "Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children" (I've never read it, but the design is sick, and the engineering is incredible) I bought my first kits while watching 0079 for the first time last year, and I had to go with an RX-78-2 and a Zaku. Easy kits, and iconic.

If you don't know what is gaogaigar, its part of a mecha series called the brave series, and each series are not connected to each other. You should react to all of them. Its more for kids, but overtime, the series becomes more darker.
IIRC it's actually an official semi-finished OP2 that Sunrise rushed & used on TV before they can make the actual finished OP2. You can find it on the Blu-ray release AFAIK.
First to say apologies to F91 fans. Only had time to include one of the movie EDs and I think we'd all agree Char's Counterattack/Beyond the Time is the more important of the two lol. Eternal Wind is still incredible though! Maybe another time...

@androyus I do make them and I don't think SD Gundam will feature I'm afraid. This was a couple of videos intended to focus on pre-2000s Gundam. On this channel, Jazmur watches sets of anime OP/ED by decade. So Gundam will feature in 2000s, 2010s and 2020s videos in the future, but will be alongside other series rather than anything dedicated to Gundam solely.

In fact, many of the series are not the same story as the first generation anymore. Gundam W's masked character is called Zechs Merquise.

2. Duo Maxwell (Deathscythe: black, plasma scythe): he's the one usually wearing black, with the braided ponytail, and brown hair
3. Quatre Raberba Winner (Sandrock, black, yellow, white, has the 2 sickle blades) (and for a bit: Wing Zero): he's the blonde teen
4. Trowa Barton (Heavy Arms: red and white, has lots of firepower, but has blades too): he's the one with the poof-spiky-pointed hair out and to one side, brown hair
5. Wufei Chang (Shenlong / Nataku: it looks similar to Wing Zero, with the same colors of white, blue, and red, but it doesn't have the large green circle at its chest, so, it's easy to confuse wing zero and shenlong, has the shooting dragon head chain thingy, and a plasma trident for weapons): the asian/chinese teen, has black slicked/combed back hair

6. Treize Khushranada (whatever his mecha/mobile-suit, too lazy to try to look it up, as it's brief and not important): he's the noble/aristocrat guy usually in blue and white
7. "Zechs Marquis" (Epyon = its also a gundam and is dark crimson in color and has the plasma saber and a flame-plasma whip, the coolest gundam, grins, and for a bit Wing Zero and also Talgeese: this was the prototype for all gundams, and-but is so powerful that no one can handle its full potential, not even zechs marquis): he's the guy in the mask
8. Lady Une: she's got brown hair with various hair styles, and usually is wearing glasses
9. Lucrecia Noin: she's got purple hair, with a similar hair style to that of Trowa's, laughs
10. Relena "Dorlian": she's the girl shown in the opening and ending, with the light-medium brown hair
11. Dorothy Catalonia: "eyebrows" (you'll understand immediately when/if you see her, laughs, most recognizable character of all time with those eyebrows, lol) and long blond hair
12. Catherine Bloom: she's a traveling circus girl
13. Sally Po: she's a medical-nurse-doctor soldier (whatever you call it/them, meh, lol)

So I'm not sure if it was mentioned but an important part of Gundam Wing is that none of the Pilots were told about each other so they each think they are the only one which causes... let's just say tension.
Also good and bad are ALWAYS relative in Gundam.

Gundam X is probably the most underrated series because it's actually really great. Great characters, fascinating worldbuilding, good designs, etc... (Alos, he's not a Char Clone, he's a Quattro Bajeena clone) Wing otoh, is probably one of the most overrated, cause it gets pretty stale pretty fast.
Turn A Gundam is the best thing Tomino has made. That's just a fact. (So much so that people have been stealing from it for years. The ending of AoT is basically a bargain bin version of Turn A's ending)
There are no good sides on gundam, each side has good and bad people :]

@@Jazmur_Reacts Hardest? Probably any of the primary Unicorn Gundams, their engineering has... quirks. Best I've built so far, though, Real Grade Hi-Nu Gundam, from the novel "Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children" (I've never read it, but the design is sick, and the engineering is incredible)
I bought my first kits while watching 0079 for the first time last year, and I had to go with an RX-78-2 and a Zaku. Easy kits, and iconic.

If you don't know what is gaogaigar, its part of a mecha series called the brave series, and each series are not connected to each other. You should react to all of them. Its more for kids, but overtime, the series becomes more darker.

@androyus I do make them and I don't think SD Gundam will feature I'm afraid. This was a couple of videos intended to focus on pre-2000s Gundam. On this channel, Jazmur watches sets of anime OP/ED by decade. So Gundam will feature in 2000s, 2010s and 2020s videos in the future, but will be alongside other series rather than anything dedicated to Gundam solely.
