Great day for it and some great footage/drone footage. I did it with two friends in the summer but also included Hight Street as well. I had done it twice before (the second time with you) but they had not done it so had to add it in. We did it the way you did which (imo) is by far and away the best way around to go, can never understand why anyone would want to reverse this route, especially as it is such a nice gentle path back from Harter Fell, just when you are feeling tired. Cheers Alan
Aye you’re absolutely right, it is the best way to do it. And to be honest you don’t miss much by not doing high street but if it’s not been bagged then you absolutely go the extra mile to bag it 🤣 I watched that video aswell wasn’t too bad a day for you either 👌
Once again another cracking video Leo. I really like how you take the time to tell us what each mountain / mountain range is. Excellent knowledge and very enjoyable. All the best, Roo
Good effort Leo, the Kentmere Horseshoe is a cracking day’s walking. I did it a couple of years ago following the same route as and included High St (as I hadn’t done it before). Definitely one of my favourite horseshoes in the Lakes. Good luck with your channel.
Great hike and video Leo, some superb views and drone footage. Did a similar route in the summer with Alan Metalman and had a snake encounter. But what a route, and even the bit at the end was tough. Regards, Ashley
It’s a cracking horseshoe, and I had a really good day for it and ever since the weather has been rubbish but it was a bit cold for me to have a snake encounter 🤣 thanks for watching 👍
Hi Leo, absolute belter mate, what a day you had, and brilliant drone footage. I’ve done all the hills on the Kentmere Horseshoe, but not actually done the horseshoe it’s self. 🤣 I did just Yoke, Ill Bell and Froswick from Troutbeck. Shipman’s Knott, Harter Fell and Kentmere Pike from Longsleddale and Mardale Ill Bell and Thornthwaite Crag from Hartsop. Cheers for sharing your day mate All the best Dave
Great video mate apart from you knocked my stone off on the summit of Yoke! Placed it there just over a week ago! My video shows me placing it there just before 2 Typhoons go over!! haha
@LeoManAndMountain Haha, it's cool mate, was only kidding.... its just mad that it was still on there, as soon as I watched you approach it I was saying to myself "that's my stone"!!! Just out of curiosity, when did you do this hike?
