I had the P0304 code misfire cylinder 4. I used a diagram online to locate cylinder 4. Replaced the spark plug and coil pack. Was still misfiring... I was about to try and take out the fuel rail and replace the fuel injector. I was half way through when I saw your video and saw cylinder 4 was on the driver's side... So I put everything back together and switched out the coil where you said cylinder 4 was and the stability track light went off along with the check engine light

@@146243i it takes about 8 hours for labor. So depending on the shops labor rate that would be labor cost. For example my labor rate is $140 x 8 =$1,120.00. And parts cost depending where you get them. I usually get some parts from the dealership like the camphasers and timing chain kit aftermarket. So it can be somewhere $900 to $1200 on parts

First of all thanks a lot for video. I had same issue. Chevy Camaro 2010, 3.6. At the beginning it was White smoke. 1 month ago people from service station changed cylinder head gasket. bank one is on the passenger side and bank two is on the driver side, if the engine is in line. I don't really remember what all I said in the video, If the engine is transverse sideways, bank one will be fire wall side and bank two will be radiator side, ez way to remember bank 2 is the one with the long camshaft that has the high-pressure fuel pump attach to it.

Hey I have the same problem on a Chevy Camaro V6 2019 with a P0300, Stabilitrack, and fuel trim on Bank 2 at -30… And the AFM does not work… if I explain you with more details, can you help me please ?😅

      2019 Chevrolet Camaro RS 3.6 V6 34000km
      - error code P0300 with engine light which appears 1 out of 2 times when the car warms up, let me explain:
1-2km after leaving with the engine cold and between 1000 and 2000 rpm when it's a bit forceful, the car jerks and suddenly resumes normal operation but the engine warning light comes on as well as the ESC warning light which goes off 'removes him very quickly, but the engine light keeps flashing until I stop...every time unsteady idle with vibrations, it must rev on 5...i cut it and restart it generally runs fine and it' is distributed…
But when I read the fault, it appears that:
      - code P0300: Random misfires on 1 or more cylinders
      - Long term and short term fuel fix on row 2: -35
I therefore deduce that it overinjects
      Knowing that :
      - new throttle body
      - new spark plugs
      - coils changed rows and still the problems on row 2
      - new injectors
And it never switches to V4 when it should… a link in all that??
If anyone has already had the case or sees a link in all this… I admit that I have been starting to get depressed for 2 and a half months….🙄
Thank you all and have a nice weekend!!

You did waaay too much work. The actuator is probably fine. The vvt solenoids that trigger the actuator movement gets clogged. Especially if a car has poor oil maintenance. They mount close to the actuators usually somewhere on the head. Easy to get to without taking the engine apart. Pull them out and run MAF cleaner through the passageways and make sure there are no obstructions allowing it to move freely. Pop those babies back in. 15-20 minutes. Somewhere on the engine you may have filter inserts. Also a good idea to pull them out and clean. When the VVT solenoid gets stuck it doesn’t allow oil pressure to enable the actuator to advance or retard the camshaft. The pin won’t be in the right position allowing it to seat back down and lock. VVT solenoids don’t get the attention they should. It’s no more difficult than changing your oil.
At the 4:17 mark I’m 99% sure what you’re referring to as camshaft position sensors are the Variable Valve Timing solenoids. They appear to go directly into the actuators. I’m not familiar with Chevy VVT engines but the concept is the same across makes. Imagine the gunk and film you’re seeing on the back of that actuator. That and more is what builds up inside the solenoid pistons. After a good cleaning they work like new.

The p0300 means random misfire it’s not very specific. The p304 means misfire on cylinder 4. I will start with cylinder number 4, could be that the ignition coil is going out. Try to switch coils first move coil number 2 to coil number 4 and drive it for couple of days like that. See if the misfires moves to number 2
