Interesting, It has obvious uses. It would be great to be able to hose down your mast and rigging easily each week. However it would need to be a dead calm day as the chance of hitting the rigging is quite high, specially for an untrained person and I doubt the drone would survive a deep sea dive. So perhaps it's a service some of the bigger yacht clubs /Marina's could offer (with relevant insurance cover) but I don't see it as a tool one would keep on their yacht.
IMO this is a totally ludicrous idea. It may (sort of) work for a fresh water wash down but will never get rid of weathered grime. Plus the cost is likely to be extremely high. Not to mention the potential for a crash!
