Thanks for the 'real picture!' Sometimes when you see all these luxurious interior spaces and everything, it can be too easy to forget that when you live on a boat you're not in a house; you're in a machine. 39 celcius there, U.K. rocked by 25 C. today and humid, made a Thai green curry and had to change my clothes lol. So, with a relatively puny lottery win I can buy a yacht to live on... wow!
This might make a nice great loop boat for a couple. Its high cruising speed and shallow draft would allow for a quick dash across the great lakes section during fair weather. It would burn a lot of fuel but the cost of entry is so low that there would be plenty left in the cruising budget. She is in very nice shape for a 25 yr old boat. Cheers!
Why would you want to “dash” through the Great Lakes? If you’re trying to experience the country, the Great Lakes are essential and very enjoyable…Take your time…
Wow that is a really nice boat. My wife and I just bought a house in Cape Coral on the canal and are next step in some months is we want a boat to travel around slowly. We've been leaning more towards a princess or an azimut, maybe we need to think about something like this for a starter. Great video loved it.

This boat must have been a close neighbour. Great pick for a review. Much appreciated. Sometimes you just can't beat an afternoon cabin layout on these size boats. 😊
I do like the spotlight on the front of the boat ; i had a 25 ft bayliner and the spot light was a remote operated light but they put it on top of the roof and was almost useless because of the glare it made on the windows and the whole boat. So having it at the bow is a must!

I really enjoy your videos, they are very informative and helpful. I think that perhaps you may want to have a class on exactly what it takes to liveaboard a yacht . The maintenance, the challenges and true cost of owning one . I believe you would definitely get a lot of people that may be interested.
My wife and I already have a Carver in Canada. Since American yachts are thousands cheaper. It looks like we'll purchase out of the States and sail it North. A 405 just up here for 268k cdn. It wasn't near as nice as this vessel and needed a whole refit.
It beggers belief how much storage a good yacht designer can squeeze into such a small hull. If you could find a reasonably priced berth the it would be much cheaper than an apartment. Lovely little home on the water. 😊
This is fab! Very sweet home and the layout very useable with all the storage and quirky bathroom with all the light! Well maintained for its age and in good condition. Could move in straight away! Well done guys!❤❤
I love this boat! I have been searching for my 1st live aboard, and this checks off all the essentials, including the great price point! Thank you for sharing!😊
I have always really liked Carvers. I was actually looking at some at one point when I thought I might want to do a live aboard. They are really well laid out for a smaller vessel.
I plan on mostly retiring (except summers) in 2-3 years. Planning on living abroad in Philippines, DR or Playa Del Carmen other 9 months. With housing on Long Island sooooo expensive, just a basement apartment this size and furnished would be near 24k a year! To buy a small house that needs work 400k plus 8-12k in taxes. Cost of these options, along with keeping my RE Appraisal License and all SW active along with 2nd car cost kinda defeats income benefits of coming back to LI to work for 3 months...... As a fan of you guys I came up with idea (Thanks!!!) of something like this boat as a VERY viable option. The live aboard thing here in NY you wouldn't want to do 12 months a year but 6 months weather is pretty good and great the 3 months I'd need to be here. And a 2 week Holiday visit in winter maybe. Does a boat like this have heat for winter? If not - no big deal. The $ savings would be awesome as summer only seasonal rentals on LI.... That could be 15-20k for peak summer season at starter level..... This boat / price looks near 100% perfect for me! 100K is same as 4-5 years of lowest rent or own payment option above.... The following 5 years and onward I'd be saving 20-25k a year! And that would allow the 3 months in NY to be way more vacation than for work :-) A bigger Fridge and TVs, new built ins for rear outdoor lounge space and bow cushions all for 100K. Love it! Gonna go look at your old aft cabin home now! As always - great job!
Thanks guys, yet another great review! Victoria, just a couple of notes on pronunciation in case you'd like to tune up a bit: 1) Series is pronounced 'Sear-eaz' not 'Sear-e-ez' 2) Oven is pronounced 'uh-vin' not 'Oh-vin' 3) You welcome someone 'aboard' a boat, (welcome aboard) not 'onboard' (welcome onboard) I hope this is useful, not intended to be insulting. You guys do a great job asking us for help identifying parts of the boat that you are not familiar with so I thought you'd be open to the above help too! Keep up the great work!
Great review. It's a lovely vessel. The gasoline is a bit sad, but I guess the petrol option is of its time. Owners need to remember to vent. Every few months, somebody-often a newbie-makes a mistake. Very attractive boat... thanks again team...
I like the aft cabin layout of the Carver for sure. Very open on the main living area. And it’s good to go size-wise on the Trent Severn waterway up here in Ontario. Though there might be tears at the gas pump…😄
Good idea. Basically, it's a motor home for the water. If you live in a motor home on land your are looked upon as a hillbilly, but if you live on the water, you are an adventure seeker. For the price point it makes sense. You will pay for docking (rent) and some utilities (electric, water, etc.)
Hi! I haven’t watched much of your videos in the past year or so when you started showcasing boats way out of my price range. You do a great job and I like your enthusiasm- and your accents are fun too! Where are y’all from anyway? Sorry, my question is where is your boat? The last time I kept up with you, you had ordered a new boat. Where is it? You talk as though you do not live on the water anymore. Do you live in Florida now?? WHATS UP Y’ALL??
This is a great affordable live-aboard. Very nice layout. Looks easy to maintain - no teak to care for. I would replace some of the kitchen drawers with a small dishwasher.
I bet you wouldn't jump in the water there Vicki probably where a bull shark is lurking. I wonder if we'll ever see you go snorkeling or diving. I get the feeling you don't like deep water. Two sailing couples that don't hesitate to jump in are La Vagabonde and Gone with the Wynns.
I must be missing something here, I paid a lot more than that for my last car…..that seems like a very good buy for someone looking for a small live aboard! I would have replaced the engines with diesels but other than that…..👍🏼👍🏼
Not a bad live aboard at a great price point. No dishwasher hurts. Gasoline engines are a knock. Washer dryer could be added. Nice layout for her size.

Thanks so much! 🙏🏻🎉🎉🎉
That's a great boat for the value. You cannot go wrong with this beauty 😍
Yes indeed!
39 celcius there, U.K. rocked by 25 C. today and humid, made a Thai green curry and had to change my clothes lol. So, with a relatively puny lottery win I can buy a yacht to live on... wow!
That’s right Rich!
a wise man once said "there is nothing more expensive than a cheap boat"
This might make a nice great loop boat for a couple. Its high cruising speed and shallow draft would allow for a quick dash across the great lakes section during fair weather. It would burn a lot of fuel but the cost of entry is so low that there would be plenty left in the cruising budget. She is in very nice shape for a 25 yr old boat.
Cheers!
Agreed
Why would you want to “dash” through the Great Lakes? If you’re trying to experience the country, the Great Lakes are essential and very enjoyable…Take your time…
I love the size of that. Definitely a great live aboard
Glad you loved this one! Thanks for sharing!
Wow that is a really nice boat. My wife and I just bought a house in Cape Coral on the canal and are next step in some months is we want a boat to travel around slowly. We've been leaning more towards a princess or an azimut, maybe we need to think about something like this for a starter. Great video loved it.
Saturdays are my favourite,,because of your work. Thanks.
Aww thanks for the kind words David! Enjoy the tour!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Number Five. If my wife and I sold our present boat I think we could afford one in this price range LOL.
Come on all post some more comments every one of them helps our favorite couple out. Thank You
Yesss more comments lol
Old school coffee maker??? Are you kidding me??? Evidently, you're not familiar with the PERCOLATOR... 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
This boat must have been a close neighbour. Great pick for a review. Much appreciated. Sometimes you just can't beat an afternoon cabin layout on these size boats. 😊
Agreed
@0:07 What's the difference between "price point" and price?
It's crap salesperson phrasing to suggest there's a theoretical standard amount/boat that ppl are looking for. ie "the £250k 6-berth boat price point"
I do like the spotlight on the front of the boat ; i had a 25 ft bayliner and the spot light was a remote operated light but they put it on top of the roof and was almost useless because of the glare it made on the windows and the whole boat. So having it at the bow is a must!
Happy Saturday!
Welcome back!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
A lake neighbor has one. I would have thought it was a $500,000 boat. Surprised at the price.
No comment, just support.
Thanks for supporting! We appreciate you!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Yes I'd definitely live on this boat. BUT you never said anything about A fresh water maker. That's important. And yes you need A washer and dryer. ALWAYS love your shows. YOU TO make A perfect couple. Can't wait to see your new SHIP.
Awww thank you for the kind words - we can’t wait either 😉
Comment number two ,,, amazing,,,, love Saturday breakfast with Nautistyles,,,, thanks
Enjoy your breakfast!! 🤪🤪🙏🏻
So... Would it be Coffee and Nauti... Coffee with Nauti or Nauti Coffee?
@Navy1977 @NautiStyles. Time to start the poll on your Saturday morning breakfast segment. One vote for Nauti Coffee. The others were Coffee and Nauti or Coffee with Nauti. 😁
I really enjoy your videos, they are very informative and helpful. I think that perhaps you may want to have a class on exactly what it takes to liveaboard a yacht . The maintenance, the challenges and true cost of owning one . I believe you would definitely get a lot of people that may be interested.
When I first found you guys, weren’t you living on a boat very close to the same as this carver
Yep!! You're one of the OG Nauti People!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️🤪
@@NautiStyles I have a boat for sale. I would love for you to show it. It’s the 2016 see Ray 510 Sundancer.
My wife and I already have a Carver in Canada.
Since American yachts are thousands cheaper.
It looks like we'll purchase out of the States and sail it North.
A 405 just up here for 268k cdn. It wasn't near as nice as this vessel and needed a whole refit.
Love it but really can’t wait to see your new yacht!
Us too 😅🤪 coming soon!! 🤞⚓️💙
The "icing on the cake" would have been a bow thruster.
👌🏼
Woot Woot ! Bridge Clearance in the specs ! =) =) And a nice boat too, even for someone my size.
😉🙏💙
It beggers belief how much storage a good yacht designer can squeeze into such a small hull. If you could find a reasonably priced berth the it would be much cheaper than an apartment. Lovely little home on the water. 😊
This is fab! Very sweet home and the layout very useable with all the storage and quirky bathroom with all the light! Well maintained for its age and in good condition. Could move in straight away! Well done guys!❤❤
I could easily see my husband and me retiring on that lovely yacht! I don’t know that we would ever move it, but I would love living on the water! 😊
I love this boat! I have been searching for my 1st live aboard, and this checks off all the essentials, including the great price point! Thank you for sharing!😊
Well done. Kudos.
This boat has fantastic use of space imo. More than most boats I see. What a great live aboard this would be !!!
Boat maintenance is no joke. Carver makes a nice vessel
The purchase price is the LEAST expensive part of buying and owning a boat like this. Good luck
I have always really liked Carvers. I was actually looking at some at one point when I thought I might want to do a live aboard. They are really well laid out for a smaller vessel.
Agreed
Thanks for the showing of the yacht.Congratulations to the lady, she is in great shape.
Thanks guys, yet another great review! Victoria, just a couple of notes on pronunciation in case you'd like to tune up a bit:
1) Series is pronounced 'Sear-eaz' not 'Sear-e-ez'
2) Oven is pronounced 'uh-vin' not 'Oh-vin'
3) You welcome someone 'aboard' a boat, (welcome aboard) not 'onboard' (welcome onboard)
I hope this is useful, not intended to be insulting. You guys do a great job asking us for help identifying parts of the boat that you are not familiar with so I thought you'd be open to the above help too!
Keep up the great work!
The Storage Channel Hit the Bonus on this Yacht ..
Great review. It's a lovely vessel. The gasoline is a bit sad, but I guess the petrol option is of its time. Owners need to remember to vent. Every few months, somebody-often a newbie-makes a mistake. Very attractive boat... thanks again team...
Always enjoy an aft cabin cruiser. This one was laid out nicely.
Glad you enjoyed it
My mom had a 55' Silverton that looked just like that on the outside! But a lottt more $$$
I like the aft cabin layout of the Carver for sure.
I have a 2000 Carver 356 aft cabin. Similar layout. We love it.
This is a super cute quality yacht! Can't beat that price tag! ❤
I attended school in Charleston, SC...wish I could have lived in a boat like this!!
Both you guys have so much energy. Guessing your area is doing really good up north boats are listed at similar price points but sell for half off.
Really??? 😳😳😳
@@NautiStylesyes totally people are seeing all the cost and the value is gone. Some people are scrapping old boats. They are not selling
U have an amazing castle... But we cant all afford a house payment in full
Great episode as always, NautiStyle team! Thanks for sharing! Keep those cameras rolling and stay safe! 👍👍
Thanks! Will do! We love you 💙
@@NautiStyles 👍👍
This is a great affordable live-aboard. Very nice layout. Looks easy to maintain - no teak to care for. I would replace some of the kitchen drawers with a small dishwasher.
Great idea! Could always use a dishwasher 🤪⚓️💙
Excellent coverage as always
I bet you wouldn't jump in the water there Vicki probably where a bull shark is lurking. I wonder if we'll ever see you go snorkeling or diving. I get the feeling you don't like deep water. Two sailing couples that don't hesitate to jump in are La Vagabonde and Gone with the Wynns.
😝
I must be missing something here, I paid a lot more than that for my last car…..that seems like a very good buy for someone looking for a small live aboard! I would have replaced the engines with diesels but other than that…..👍🏼👍🏼
😉
Not a bad live aboard at a great price point. No dishwasher hurts. Gasoline engines are a knock. Washer dryer could be added. Nice layout for her size.
Yesss 🙏💙
Another great video, as much as I love all the big expensive boats the reality is it is something I could only dream of. The affordable live aboard boats are what really hits home for me. Especially +/- $100,000. Yes it’s dated somewhat but yes it’s affordable. Thanks!
Awww sooo happy to hear that you like our special affordable boat series 💙🙏
I had a 36 foot dual cabin and head motor yacht , but this is a better design and i could easily live aboard this vessel.
Now to talk the better half into getting something like this!
Looked to be aboat in great shape with the only drawbacks being the shower and space in the bow. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for watching!
Sehr schönes und relativ günstiges boot.
Ideal für eine kleine Familie.
Top Video, merci.
