Remember, the cymbals that you hear through your headphones are not the way they sound in a room. Never buy cymbals without playing and hearing them live.
I must be doing it wrong then. All my cymbals I bought online from videos. Met all expectations. Now it does depend on the recording and this one is way over mic’ed. Cymbalhouse does it right. Now I research weights and many videos. I know what to expect on diameter and weight.
It looked like you were demonstrating two Mel Lewis model cymbals.
Was one the 19” crash ride and the other the 21” ride with two rivets?

Thanks for the comparison. It would be good to know the weights of the cymbals cause this has a huge effect on the sound.

Anniversary 24” - 3147g
Mel Lewis 22” - 2424g
Signature 21” - 1913g
SE Jazz 20” - 1976g

Mel Lewis and Jazz Rides are marked properly.
Green logo is only used for Signature series.
30th anniversary has got no logos whatsoever.
Did you play the Special edition jazz ride much ? It seems okay but could be so much better - i think its the least interesting sound here
I mainly use it as left-hand side crash. Its okay but I agree with you - its the least interesting out of all of them. That being said, the 24" version is sooo good. Very close to 30th ann in my opinion, really cool cymbal.
