    These rides go beautifully together, I used to have the 19' Mel Lewis crash ride and it was alright. I replaced it with a 20' Agop Traditional crash ride and it sounds much stronger, but the rivets on yours add a lot of personality 👌

    Very tasteful playing. I have the Mel 21 with 2 rivets, but it's the Mehmet version. Buttery best describes it. I'll never sell it.

    I have a very similar setup, but inverted in sizes and positions: 21" Signature on my left and 22" Mel Lewis on my right. I love how these two cymbals create a beautiful dry/wet combination, making it possible to create a build up in a song, for instance, from the dry (Signature) to the wet (Mel Lewis), and so on. And what about their crashing abilities!

      Oh nice!! Yes they are lovely cymbals indeed! I recently got the 14" signature Agop hats to match =)

      Same here! I also play this setup and absolutely love how they complement each other. Just, I play the Signature in medium weight, around 2580g. Plus some 15" 30th Anniversary Hats. Love it!

    Great playing and cymbals.What kind of drums are those? Looks like a 13” and 16” Toms and maybe a 20” bass drum?

      Hey Alex! Thank you very much... umm from memory I think 2 overhead mics in XY stereo pattern (Octava Mk2's) and then 1 Mic (Rode Nt1000) about 1m infront of kit (probably just out of shot) Sweet!

    What drum heads do you have on your bass drum? Great video!

    • @haydenlauridsen
      @haydenlauridsen  7 років тому

      Westin Byerly hey thanks Westin! Bass drum head is an Evans eq3 clear on batter side and on the front is a Remo Fyberskin. Toms are old old Remo coated emperors (I love the sound so haven't changed them) and coated ambassadors on bottoms.
