I wonder how people would react to this.
That was great episode, it served 98462 and 87546 right for how they acted and treated everyone.
Probably when the 50’s and 60’s came, both engines were used less when diesels came. One day, both engines had to take a passenger train that consisted of 7 coaches and 3 post vans. But when they reached a part of the line that was heated by the summer sun, they jumped the tracks and crashed of the line with 8 of all 7 coaches and 1 mail van of the rails. A total of 16 people were killed in the crash and 58 people were wounded. And in the end, 3 of the 8 cars were repaired with everything else being scrapped including 98462 & 87546.

I really like this story. Especially with Winston's appearance.
In my head-canon, Winston was built by the L&YR in 1894 as inside mogul and was put on the NWR in 1900. He left Sodor in 1929 following the LMS wanting more engines to operate. He was withdrawn in February 1958 and was believed to be scrapped for many years but was found in an old LMS shed in 1990. He was preserved on the Nene Valley Railway until 2015 when he brought back to Sodor for the NWR's 100 year extravaganza. Winston remains a very hard worker to this day.

Winston is also called 'Eagle' or 'Red Max'.
He appear in the 'Three Railway Engines' book and he resemble James the red engine but with red wheels and no number five on his tender.
I loved this episode so much i'd been waiting for it for so long, the bit at the very end actually made me a bit sad to tell the truth but other than that great job all round

Well, it just goes to show you just how fate on Sodor has it's way of ensuring engines like them recieve their rightful comeuppance in the end.

And Alfred maybe handled coaches nicely, but not so with the other engines, especially Henry and Gordon.

Seems like 87546 tricking Thomas into putting the coaches at the platform was based off the story and 98462 speeding with the express were based off stories in the ERS they appeared

Great episode my good man surfs these engines right for being total jerks all through in another series create by jamesfan1991 Chris and Alfred turn themselves around through it took Alfred three episodes to turn himself around and Chris change after the manger of his railway told that there no room on his railway for rude engines.
