Oh my goodness, I have been researching Isla Holbox, and this video was great to give me a feel for the island - but honestly, you guys as a couple - your humor, your smiles, the way you present the material, it was so delightful to watch! You guys are the whole package! Made my evening, thanks! :)
You guys are adorable! We've been dreaming of visiting Holbox for over a year and now I'm determined to book our travel soon! Thank you so much for the helpful video.
Currently planning a vacation out that way and was stuck between Holbox & Isla Mujeres! After watching this, seems like Holbox is a no brainer. Great to know that traveling there from Cancun is easy, that was my biggest hold up!
YAY! So glad we influenced you 😎 we definitely vote holbox over Isla mujeres! Nothing wrong with isla mujeres, but the vibe here was way more laid back and quiet!
I've been to Isla Mujeres and am actually visiting Holbox soon. Definitely check out Isla Mujeres next time you are wanting a more sociable and fun vibe - there's lots of restaurants, bars, late night walking and socializing there! :)
What a beautiful place. It does remind me of the unspoiled Isla Mujeres in the late ‘80s! Amazing as always, you two are so fun to watch! I’ve wanted to go to Holbox for awhile now, now I can’t wait! 🐚
"Hips don't lie", that's classic, Martin! I love that you can walk fairly far out into the ocean and the water is just knee deep and the critters you found were so cool, especially the starfish. Holbox is so beautiful.
Omg! You guys are hilarious! I really enjoyed your video. First time I see your channel.. of course I subscribed already! Thank you for all the info! 😍😍😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just discovered your channel. Planning our first trip to Mexico with our 4 yr old. We wanted to give him a more rich experience than what an all inclusive resort can give. Your videos are so fun, humorous and informative. You have given us a few great ideas. We can't wait for our adventure!
Great video guys! This May I'm going for my 4th time to Holbox! Thats how much i Love this place! One needs at least 3 days to enjoy this little island, try to avoid september to november due to rainy season. Bring bug repellent , because the mosquitoes here are no joke.- This island is Best place to relax, lay back and enjoy.
Hey guys, cool video! How did you get from the Cancun airport to the bus terminal? Or where you not coming from the airport? Any recommendations for airport to bus terminal transfer?
We were staying in downtown, so we actually went to the bus terminal that was a few blocks from where we were staying. You could actually take the Holbox bus directly from the airport itself, as there is a stop there! There's also an ADO bus from the airport to the downtown station. Whatever you choose, you can view the times online on ADO's website.
My husband and I learned about Holbox a few months ago and have been planning a trip here ever since, so your video is a huge help!! Cannot wait! Also, where did you buy your white tank top at the end of the video? Thanks for all you guys do!! ❤
Yay! That’s exactly what we hope to hear ❤️ glad this video helped! Tank top is from Abercrombie: www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/essential-rib-90s-tank-51433319?seq=02
Hello. We will be at playa del Carmen In 12 days and want to do Isla mujeres or holbox which do you recommend if only can do one. I'm swaying to Isla mujeres as it's nearer and with the trip alcohol drinks are included but looking into it most prefer holbox. I'd like to here your opinion thanks.
That seems about right! Btw you may find this video helpful that we made the other week👇 EPIC 9-Day Itinerary to Cancun, Cozumel, Xcaret + MORE 🏝️ Tips + Things to do in the Riviera Maya ua-cam.com/video/lzPJGa8RGr0/v-deo.html
It's extremely safe :) You can get here by flying to Cancun and taking the ADO bus directly from the airport to Chiquila. Then you just take the ferry. Have a great time!
The intro is not accurate. I live in the Yucatan and have been all over. Compared to cancun etc, Holbox is off the beaten path. But Holbox is veeeeery touristy. Definitely not sleepy.
Roots did not invent lobster pizza. 25 years ago local native “Chefo” invented it after being invited to work in Italy . Upon return he opened Edelyn Pizza in front of the park. “Chefo’s”. (But honestly now lobsters have been over fished to support this trend of lobster pizza, so they are scarce & too small;(
Just arrived to holbox and to me this is far from paradise. There is sargassum, prices are really high, way too many people and the island is completely flat. If you want to visit true paradise islands go koh chang koh good in thailand or koh rong in kambodza. Even bacalar in mexico feels way more relaxed and more beautiful with less tourists
Sorry guys i cannot recomand holbox. i went there Dec 21 Jan 22, garbage everywhere, full of water with lots of mosquitos, expensive good...mmmmm Not fantastic. On the red sea now, lost village.not the same at all

A very popular destination for tourists. Not really hidden...been there several times last couple years

How was the reception/wifi there?
I remember our reception was bad when we weren't connected to wifi. I can't quite recall the wifi speeds unfortunately.

Thank you for not having B-roll music that is 6 times louder than when you're talking (unlike some other youtubers).
The art of understanding audio waves! Glad you notice our efforts :)
do you guys know how much were the tours to the 3 islands ? is that the one that take you to the cenote ?
Unfortunately we don't recall :( Sorry about that!
How much was the bus to Chiquila? Because I keep looking and it’s very expensive.
❤
HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN TO BACALAR LAKE. ?
We have not! We almost went during this trip but didn’t have time. We will come back to do that :)
I'm going to Cancun next week. How far of a drive is and boat ride to get Holbox from Cancun? Online its saying 2.5hrs?
That seems about right! Btw you may find this video helpful that we made the other week👇

@@TouristtoLocal Ever go to Rio Secreto? That is where I am going!
Where should one buy the bud tickets
You can get them on the ADO website!
What time of year did you go?
I was told a lot of construction is undergoing on Isla Holbox
Help me which airport to fly in from overseas then catch ferry to the islands..is it safe i terms of
crime..Thank you
It's extremely safe :) You can get here by flying to Cancun and taking the ADO bus directly from the airport to Chiquila. Then you just take the ferry. Have a great time!
Looks like a less developed version of Isla Mujeres?
Except the water here is totaaaaaally different! Way calmer, you can walk for miles out into the see! It’s so pristine here :)
How's the safety or crime?
No crime or safety issues that we've heard of. It's a very small town and relaxed place.
How much is 220 Pesos in Dollars?
Today it is 12.86 USD, but it changes every day.
The intro is not accurate. I live in the Yucatan and have been all over. Compared to cancun etc, Holbox is off the beaten path. But Holbox is veeeeery touristy. Definitely not sleepy.
Interesting! We had such a different experience. Perhaps it was the time of year.
Yep I was there yesterday small place expensive food lol

Good to know!!
i am gald you were able to walk for hours and see noone there. That was not my expereince at all!
Interesting! What time of year did you go?
But...Is it Safe?
Absolutely!! Super safe!

Interesting! Our experience was very different in January. Sargassum starts to become a problem as summer approaches. Thailand is gorgeous!
