Would you take on the trek to Machu Picchu? ⛰ p.s make sure you watch to the end for a sneak peak of part 2 of this series (things don't go smoothly..)
What an amazing adventure you two had. I definitely was nervous & anxious too for you both, only because we had no contact during your trek but I’m so proud of you both for having done this trek. The views look pretty spectacular & having a good people with would’ve helped ease the aches & pains. How amazing are the porters, the tour guide & all the staff who helped make your experience one you’ll always remember. Very proud of you both. Miss you, love you, mum.xx 💕💕
Les gusta los animalitos y respetan mucho la naturaleza. Gracias por visitar mi pais y ser tan respetuosos y amables!!!! Vuelvan , los esperamos , siempre serán bienvenidos!!!
This is on my bucket list but I’m so scared I wouldn't be able to make it…. The views as simply stunning and the videos are amazing. I’m really look forward to your videos each week. Keep safe and keep on having fun. Love your work x
You can do it! There are different companies that do the same trek at a different pace with more luxury hotels! And Even if you fall behind with alpaca they have a back up van and back up horses for help! 😊
We only had one rainy night while we sleeping at Llactapata (so it was too foggy to see Machu Pichu from tents 😔) and one rainy day on the way to coffee plantation! Soooo lucky!
Thanks for sharing your adventures. This is so enjoyable watching and wishing I had done this when I was younger (I also have poor knees!). I love the hobbit house hope to see more in the next video. Looking forward to Machu Picchu xx
Wow! Getting us excited for when we get to Peru 😆 can’t wait for part 2! Emily I’m (Jacqui) so curious about your knee issue because I’m having a sore knee when I hike at the moment too and I’m really worried about these multi-day hikes we want to do 😅 I hope it wasn’t too bad for you 🧡
😄 You're going to have the best time! It's such an interesting and vibrant country. As for the knees, it's certainly manageable, but if it gets too much most company's have back up vans 😉 even back up horses if your high in the mountains!
I never realised how much I wanted to go to Peru until your videos. It's flown up my to-travel list. I also suffer from sore knees on longer walks. Surprisingly it always seems to be the declines that are worse for them. I think it's my total lack of core strength lol
This is so helpful! We are planning now. But can you please post the next video?! We are so curious about what made Emily almost have an anxiety attack!!
Nice video Guys! I will do this trek somewhere next year, so i’m very exited to see how Nice this looks! One question, can you book this trek like 1 or 2 weeks in advance?
Oohhh your going to have so much fun! Not really unfortunately, the tickets to get unto machu picchu can sell out super early! The earlier you can book the better but you never know!
Hi Emily and Jordan, I’m doing this on July, thank you for the wonderful and very informative video!! I’m wondering what type of hiking boots you are wearing? I’m considering trail running shows instead of hiking boots, I don’t know if that’s a good idea.
How exciting! We were pretty clunky shoes but they were definitely needed in the snow and mud! That being said, I think if you're doing it in hotter months you might get away with comfortablr runners!
Dont get me wrong , it's a proof that almost everybody in very avarage shape can do this trail. Especially with a guide What;'s the point of the experience like this? You are guided by hand by local guides... Eating prepered food not by you... it's just. a turist trip... nothing challanging
Hahaha the point is to hike Salkantay to get to Machu Picchu. We had someone in our group not make it and were told most groups have at least one! I think better than average shape is needed!

😄 you should definitely go! It's a tough hike but the group (herd) mentality really keeps you going haha
This is so helpful! We are planning now.

😄 thanks for watching! You'll have to wait for the weekend 😉
"just dudes being dudes throwing rocks into the river" LOL
😄 hahah
I love your videos!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊
asombrosos lugares, que hermoso es mi Peru. Les recomiendo visitar Tingo Maria.
SO BEAUTIFUL! potentially the most beautiful country in all of South America 😉
Una pregunta: Cuánto cuesta contratar realizar ése trekking?
Saludos 😊
I think I've put the link in the description! From memory I think all 5 nights was $650!
I wanna do this so bad!🤩
What an amazong adventure you guys had. What month did you do the Salkantay trail?
It was so great! We did it in September!

Hi @jordanandemily - was this the 5days/5 nights Salkantay Trek you did? Would you absolutely recommend this trek or the shorter 4D/4N trek? Thanks 🤩
This was the 5 dayer we think! It's definitely up to you, 5 day obviously has more but it's definitely more challenging 😄
♥️🇵🇪♥️🇵🇪♥️🇵🇪♥️🇵🇪♥️🇵🇪♥️🇵🇪♥️🇵🇪
❤️ 🇵🇪
How many days did you stay in Cusco to acclimatise?
We we're in Cusco for 4 days before, but had been in the country going up and down in elevation for a few months!
How about laundry?
Might get away with a sink wash at the hobbit house if you need to, but we just packed enough!
Can you rent a horse to ride???????????Wait is there a part 2???????????? missed the most important part Machu Picchu
😄 you can actually! Yes part two is still being finished! It will be out next week 😀
What time of year did you go?
we were in Peru in September!
The leaves help with altitude sickness. Just don't go for a drug test at work!!! Yikes
So strange but so good 😄
