Peru, 🇵🇪 also known as the millennial country of CULTURAL DIVERSITY and 5,000 flavors. It is the only country in the world with at least 8 types of cuisine: Creole, Marine, Andean, Amazonian, Nikkei, Chifa, Vegetarian and Haute cuisine. And CEVICHE is part of the Marine cuisine of Peru. According to the Guines Record, Peru has the record of 491 typical dishes, thus becoming the country with the largest number of typical dishes in the world. It also has 2,500 native soups, 250 desserts and more than 3,000 varieties of potatoes. We can feel proud that God has blessed us with a gastronomy that is unique in the world. 🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
The video is about food in Cusco. I guess you find good ceviche up in the mountains. I don’t understand this rootless pride of culinary diversity. Food is a culture; so it evolves. Ceviche is originally from Japan via Netherlands. Food in Cusco sux by the way.
So your eating an alpaca burger whilst looking at a very cute alpaca across the street all dressed in his Sunday best, not very nice Jordan! Good food tour, shame about the “mistakes” but live & learn. I think it’s time to come home. Another interesting video of all the amazing food from around the world. Miss you both, love you, mum.xx 🦙🦙
You guys were super-helpful for my trek down South America! Green Point was fantastic and a nice break from eating so much meat over the 3 months it took me to get to Cusco... Papachos was pretty good too, but no longer serve the Alpaca burger :(. Andean Grill across the square has grilled alpaca steak that was delicious!
So much delicious food! Alpaca almost sounds like it could be a mix between Kangaroo and Camel with the taste and texture (they sort of look like a mix of them too).
In fact Eiffel lived in Iquitos, a jungle in Peru. Requests came from all over the country to do works, but it is not known that he traveled to do them. Of course, he sent people who worked with him or whom he knew, so that the works they made, technically, are by Eiffel...
I see you have tried food from Lima in Cusco: lomo saltado, ají de gallina.... those are from Lima. You shpuld have tried those in Lima. I lived in CUsco, I am from Lima, and I can say there is no place, where to find a propper lomo saltado, maybe tsty but not what it must be, same with the ají de gallina. Maybe in some place you can find a propper on, but for sure not those you ate. You should have tried in better places, or even better: tried food from CUsco. They make very tasty food like chicharrones, adobo, saralawa, chuño lawa, etc, etc. That was a wrong Lima food experience in CUsco.
In general, food in Cusco is nothing to write home about (to put it mildly). If you love to eat alpacas, Guinea pigs or parched pork, congrats, you found your heaven. But I had a hard time the second time in my life to find a good place to eat. (The first time was in the UK, of course). Luckily I found one next door to where I stayed, though. I have lived in a latin neighborhood for many years, so I know what they eat. Like many Latin cuisines, the food in Cusco is as uninviting as it looks. Interestingly, there is no signature food in Cusco. Don’t give me that deep fried dough thingy. It is not food.

Please get MRI of both knees, while you're in an inexpensive area. Ecuador has great doctors too.
Thats a great idea! We're actually gonna be home in a few weeks and will go then!
@@JordanandEmily South America MRI are 75% less expensive than USA clinics. In Australia, do you have free medical or socialized medicine?

Any stomach issues with any of the food?
None! The only places we’ve travelled and had issues has been India (super common I think) and Laos (unlucky!!)
