Glad you visited my country. Peru is so big and every city has a different culture. Especially in the jungle and high altitudes cities. Places you missed: Tarapoto, Arequipa, Aguas Turquoise water Millpu in Ayacucho, Chachapoyas, Pozuzo y Oxapampa (German people/city in Peru), etc. And the list continues.
We knowwww! A few of those places were on our list but we had to cross a lot out because we realised we had been travelling to slowly and didn't have much time before our flight home haha
I remember my time in Australia.... years ago. Surfers Paradise, Esperance in WA, Cottesloe beach, Scarborough beach ,..... Nice people .... Glad you guys liked my messy country.
It is amazing the incredible things there are in Peru, I'm Peruvian and I haven't even visited half of them. Also, you guys missed the Amazon river, the largest by volume in the world, the Millpu lagoons, etc., but its great you got to visit so many places, some only go to Cusco (understandably) but we have many beautiful cities
We would have loved to see the Amazon in Peru but we did get to see it in Ecuador so rather than doing again we thought we'd try other things 😀 such a cool country!
Excellent travel guide! It’s a shame you didn’t visit Arequipa though, IMO the most beautiful city in Perú and one of the prettiest in South America (I haven’t been to Cusco haha).
Hello Jordan and Emily, you need to visit many more places, like the Peruvian Amazon (where you will surely see Paddington Bear) or the "white city" called Arequipa, which is very beautiful in tourism and food.... etc. I hope they return to Peru.
Why list the price of some places in the video and conveniently skip over those high end costs ? How much was sky lodge as well as the luxury train trip from Cusco to Puno and what month/year did you go please.
Mostly we'll show prices that are likely to stay the same! The train and Lodge change frequently but a quick google will take you to either website and give you accurate info!
Hi Jordan and Emily! Thank you for all the information. Very useful! You went to the skylodge but mentioned that your accomodations were less than 100$. How did you get a low price to skylodge. 700$ per night seems to be the lowest we have seen on the web.😅 Thank you for the answer.
Hey guys! love this content and your style! Question: Did you plan all of your travel and hotels in advance? I'm heading down to Peru at the end of this year and I want to play the trip as it goes. Is that possible? Right now I have a flight into and out of Lima and a home base hotel - nothing else. But I've got all of your side trips in mind, i just want to know if i can swing it without pre-planning everything. Thanks!
Hey! Yes, we plan as much as we can relatively last minute and didn't run into many problems at all. The only exception to that is doing the machu picchu trek! They sell tickets for the entrance to the site that are limited per day and sell out pretty far in advance so if your keen on doing that, I'd start looking into that sooner than later!
Your video is very helpful. May I ask if Peru Hop is suggested? I do not want to go back on the way where I came but it seems I have to go onto the same bus even though I do not hop off.
traveling to Peru, if you don’t have a lot of money and time to travel to Peru, would staying only Lima and traveling only there without Machu Pachu, would be a good experience without going to Machu Pachu?
Hi, I’m a medical student and I have the opportunity to do a trainsheep in Perù or in Ecuador for 1 month next year. In Peru I might be in Lima, Arequipa or Trujillo (it’s not up to me, I can just choose the country) in Ecuador basically in every city, but most likely in Quito, Cuenca or Ripbamba…it will be my first time in South America so I ask you: which on would you choose, considering that probably I will have time to travel around just during the weekends and maybe some days before or after the trainsheep??? (Consider also that probably I won’t do those experiences which cost hundreds or even thousands of euro such as Galapagos🥲 but I really love nature and hiking)
The airlines, not border control, are the ones VERY frequently asking for proof of onward travel. Bus companies do not. And between Ecuador and Colombia there is no way to take a bus across the border (You have to walk that part). So I would not be surprised if the same thing was true between Ecuador and Peru.
Tip for possibly getting past the airlines asking... do not check any bags. Last timeI flew from Colombia to Ecuador on LATAM with no checked bags and nobody asked me about proof of onward travel. Though I wouldn't be surprised if all the US airlines ask. I have been asked by JetBlue even at the gate, on a flight between US and Colombia. But no matter which way you try to avoid having a real flight ticket out of the country, always have at least a Plan B (possibly even Plan C) if you are flying one way between countries where your destination if you do not have a passport or long term visa for the destination country.
"not much to do in Lima" you stayed in Miraflores dawg Lima is one of the most beautiful Oevres in the world. It is one of two truley european cities in the Americas, alongside Quebec. Go to Centro Gamarra y Callao. experience real peru. I'm disappointed.

😄 you're gonna love MP, owwee we haven't even been to perth yet! Heard such amazing things!
Hi there! Sorry, we probably didn't explain enough! Our budget goal was an average of 100 a day! So we spent many nights in $20 hostels haha
Agree

Que hermosos lugares de peru
Such a beautiful country
Trujillo has nearly a million people, I think it's the second biggest city in Peru!
Huge!
It’s actually the third one, after Lima and Arequipa. :)
Peru❤❤❤❤
❤️
❤️
Thank you so much for your video! Do you prefer travelling South America or South East Asia?
Such a good question.. it's super close, I think south east Asia wins only because it's much closer to home 😄
Wuooooo que magnífico ❤
❤️🇵🇪
Hey great video, are you allowed to fly your drone in Peru as a tourist?
hey! yes you are but only in some parts of the country, like not at machu picchu. it also has to be uder 250 grams!
@@JordanandEmily Thanks for the info!
Awesome mate! This really helps me planning my trip around SA. Which month did you go to Peru? Weather looks amazing.
😊 thanks!
We were there in September! Weather was great for us most days
@@JordanandEmily good to know 👍
Que buenos guias...

As Australians did you feel as safe as you would in Australia? I would love to go to Peru, but I worry about crime!
We actually felt safe the entire time! It was a considerable step up in safety from our country before of Ecuador!
@@JordanandEmily, that's fantastic news!🙂🙂
Your video is very helpful. May I ask if Peru Hop is suggested? I do not want to go back on the way where I came but it seems I have to go onto the same bus even though I do not hop off.
Preu hop is used by lots of people but we found there were so many other bus options too and we usually found something cheaper!
Estupendo
❤️
Love you it
Thanks! 😊
Did you guys consider going to Arequipa?
It juuuust didn't make the cut for our short timeline haha
traveling to Peru, if you don’t have a lot of money and time to travel to Peru, would staying only Lima and traveling only there without Machu Pachu, would be a good experience without going to Machu Pachu?
It depends what you after I think, Lima is cool but to us it was another big city! if you had to pick only one, it would be Cuszo for us!
Heavy tráfico all day until 9 pm
Very heavy!

Ooooooo that's tough, honestly if it were me. I'd look at Quito! We didn't make it to Arequipa so are not sure about there 🤔

Hi @jordanandemily when you advise of the prices for food, entertainment, accommodation, is that price each or price for both of you?
It does depend on the situation (we haven't quite confirmed our method) but generally it's for the both of us!
Muy agradable el video ❤❤❤
Thank you!
I've had cuy (guinea pig). You didn't miss much, not something I'd get again or recommend.

how much was your bus to machu pichu from where you were?
Sorry we're not sure! It was included in our salkantay pass trek!
