This was 1 of my father's favorite MTB songs. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in Houston in 84 with my mother and father. Saw them again in the spring on 05 with my father. Rest in peace pop, you checked out with your spurs still on.
I’ve been MTB fan for 40 years. This is one of my “ kick back” songs from them. Lots of covers but nobody sings it better than Doug Gray. I’ve made some my biggest and best decisions in life in the saddle with the MTB in my Walkman. Yeah, I’m that old.
Fuckin A brother, you and I must have grown up together? Them 714's, a cold one, couple or three slashes of good ole western NC corn liquor...couldn't nobody tell me shit! Big ole lid of that Colombian bud dank before there was such a thing, that weed was amazing. Jones County NC gold was pretty fucking amazing too...make you write bad checks! Bahahaha!
This is a must have song/ album when camping " Carolina dreams" the musicianship/ talent in this recording is second to none and I never get tired of hearing it in it's entirety . It is truly a remarkable recording .
ALWAYS one of my favorites by Tucker because it's a classic letting everyone jam on their instrument!! Priceless!! Off one of the best albums, too. Sure do miss dem boys!!
@@James-mn6jo doing alright after a long hospital stay. Been listening to my jams on my phone and a friend put speakers in my house that allows me to play my stereo n CDs! That's my fav MTB album! I'm gonna have DESERT SKIES played at my funeral, which will be more of a party and a celebration of life!
@@James-mn6jo I am from the country of Georgia. I live in a SMALL town Adrian but I live 6 mi out. Swainsboro GA is the closest town at 9 mi. I'm the last house on the Rd. on 10 acres.
Was asked what band would I like to travel a week with , MTB was on my list .. it would be a vacation, laid back a cold beer and amazing music.. life is beautiful
Almost poetry. Reminds off the Volunter Jam was carried on the mid series. THE old War Memorial in Nasville. From the FL border up to Nashville TN. The BOOM ROOM in Birmingham 1973, Lynyrd Skyrnd had us really talking "they are different" Oh Yes.
MTB were deep into coke use by time of production. Ironically it yielded their greatest hit,'Heard It In A Love Song' which only compounded more drugs. Tuckers best songs came before this album.
Whats coke got to do with it? U trying to make the boys out to be junkies or something. Big hairy deal they enjoyed some toot, hell everybody was doing it back then
i remember seeing toy singing this one in 88 my fiance at the time laughing at me when she heard the plodding cowpoke beginning of this .. i seemed to notice her look changed to one of deep dislike by the end. i shouldve took note of the warning ... oh well she was tighter than a ham sandwich so i had lots of fun for a year til i got truly sick of her shit

Nothing to be sorry about, but I think this song is better than that one.
