All these clowns crying about the Pro….this console is NOT MEANT FOR YOU! Personally I’m ordering day 1 and gaming is my cheapest hobby, this is a no brainer for me. No one is forcing you to buy this, stick with the base console.
People just mad that it doesn't come with a disc drive and stand. I'm sure if those things were included people wouldn't be so mad about the ps5 pro. It's definitely a want and not a need. I'll hold onto my base ps5 and put my money elsewhere, for now. Switch two and crossing fingers for an actual Sony handheld.
@@streetlive05 People are mad because the Pro is basically a robbery at this point: there is hardly if any difference and it costs twice as much as the base ps5... That's the reason people are upset and they have the right to be...
maybe because they dont mention no mechanics version, how overpriced it is or how little upgrade it is compared to ps5 that you have to zoom in to details in the background that nobody notices
But the official playstation podcast from IGN was pretty negative. And I'm saying that lightly. Now there's probably going to be very positive going forward. Can't take these guys serious...
Exactly, it helps explain why the 2TB model Xbox Series X is only $100 usd cheaper than the PS5 Pro, but arguably the Xbox is worse value with a disc drive nobody uses ballooning the price and also its still old 2020 hardware in an old 2020 box with no refresh slim design either.
Which is a very smart strategy. The reason Sony leaves out the disk drive is because they really want a digital only future where they can dictate the price. They don't like that Amazon and other retailers tend to heavily discount games after a very short time which eats into their profit margin. Spider-Man 2 and God of War: Ragnarok are around 45 on Amazon. They are still 70 on the Playstation Store. And Digital is all profit - there is no pressing the disc, logistics and shipping cost.
Why is everyone trying to say that the PS5 and Pro is exactly them same…it isn’t. Each consumer needs to figure out if upgrading or buying this instead of a PS5 is worth it? Only you can answer that. DF noted improvements in most of the games they looked. Especially FF7 Rebirth as is confirmed here. Don’t hate if you can’t afford this mid gen refresh. Gotta hope that most upcoming third party titles will offer a Pro option for fidelity settings. I’m sure GTA6 will drive some consumers to buy the pro.
Another benefit of the ps5 pro is that it will give u excellent gaming until this generation finishes like for another 4 years or so. We still have a ways to go and I'm sure if anyone who bought a ps5 pro would have benefited no matter the price tag. 700 for excellent quality now and for another 4 years if not better quality games by then isn't that bad at all
Why are there people here talking about hardware that clearly have no idea about hawldware. It what adds to this situation of false information constantly being spread. We were playing in 8K or an upscale version of 8K. Native and upscaled from internal resolution are very different. Especially AMD upscale FSR which is very poor, I’m yet to see if their AI will be anything like DLSS Yes, it focused on fidelity as they have only changed the GPU not CPU. So there is not processing power change here!
Not once has anyone mentioned that yes, you can buy a PC for the price of a pro, but some people aren't "setting screen players", some people just want to turn on a console and play, and the pro allows you to do that.
What the hell is she talking about? Handheld PC’s are double the price of the pro. The steam deck although a cheaper rendition of a PC handheld is completely inferior to the pro and all other mobile PC’s not to mention the best version of the steam deck is $600 without a stand.🙄
After consideration over the last few weeks since the PS5 Pro announcement, I preordered mine yesterday. As a regular console player (I'm definitely no hard-core gamer, but play most days), I want the best PlayStation experience in my living room, and a £700 investment on a new console (which of course will go up once I buy new covers, controllers etc) over the next 3 - 4 years doesn't seem a huge amount to me. Once I swap out the disk drive from my PS5 Slim into the Pro, I will then also have a nice compact(ish) console that I can use in my home office as a second PS5. Whilst I understand the arguments around price (and yes, it is considerably more than any previous mainstream console and is certainly unaffordable for a lot of people), and I appreciate that I could build a PC to match the performance of the Pro. However the simple fact is I don't want to build or play on a PC! I love the convenience of playing in my living room, on a console that hides away under my TV unit, that I can grab a controller, switch it on and start playing in a few seconds. I like the Playstation setup, so why would I want to change? I'm sure there are tens, if not hundreds of thousands of other people like me, that have no interest in PC gaming, but just want the best experience on their home console - and that is who I feel the PS5 Pro is aimed at. You can still have a great experience with the base PS5, but I just want that little bit more, and I am happy to pay for it!
So let me get this straight... One comment was Dragons dogma 2 was terrible and stuttery on the standard PS5, but on the pro it run at a locked 60fps.. They then go on to say we don't know what the difference was After they say GT7 at 8k was spectacular... But then ask why the Pro is 700... The bias is comical The console isnt expensive, it's just MORE expensive than the last iteration. You can't ask "why is it this price" then simultaneously say it's running games twice as good and you're very impressed😂😂 Silly comments.
This was a great discussion, but it seems like many people didn’t watch the entire video and are just complaining. IGN did a solid job explaining the details. At no point did they say you have to buy the PS5 Pro. They even emphasized that if you already own a base PS5, there’s no real need to upgrade. The Pro model is more for newcomers to the PS5 who are willing to spend $699. Like everyone else, they weren’t thrilled with the $699 price tag and still seem somewhat unconvinced, but they do understand the value of the extra $200.
Rebirth looks awful on PS5 for me the real reason to get a pro is the huge visual improvements for ff7 Rebirth. However, I’ve already finished it and will probably not being doing a second playthrough due to feeling disappointed by the game in general and the awful visuals put me off of wanting to play it again.
You sound like a idiot. A 400 pc does the samething as a 4000 dollar pc. Plays the exact same games. Just simply higher frames & better resolutions. Same as ps5 pro. The 4000 pc doesn't change the fact you're playing the exact same game just like the ps5 pro wont change the game outside of resolution & frames.
Honestly 60fps should be the new default minimum expectation. At least always an option. 8k is a silly thing I'll have no interest in for the next 10 years or never.
Meanwhile in a parallel world; a game with cartoon graphics of a princess releases with an innovative take on gameplay to sell a few million. This makes the fans happy and has a sustainable / large profit margin for business.
Whether to upgrade to a PS5 Pro depends on a few factors: Performance Needs: If you want enhanced graphics, faster load times, and better performance in games, the Pro version may be worth it. Game Library: Consider if upcoming games take advantage of the PS5 Pro's capabilities. If you’re excited about titles that will utilize its features, an upgrade could be beneficial. Current System Satisfaction: If you're happy with your current PS5's performance and game selection, you might choose to wait. Budget: Assess if the upgrade fits your budget and if the benefits align with your gaming habits. Ultimately, if enhanced performance and future-proofing are priorities for you, upgrading might be a good choice. Otherwise, sticking with your current console could be just fine for now.
Supply line excuses and components not getting any cheaper, but lets go ahead and make a console that costs 100% more than it should and offers nothing drastically new. No one will notice. Such a brilliant business decision 🙄
We already can notice, take your ps5 and try 30 fps fidelity mode. If you are satisfied with it and don't mind the choppy fps, that's all good and well. If you like 60 fps mode and don't mind the visual downgrade, then the ps5 is the best console for you. However, if like the fidelity mode is best but bothered by 30 fps caps, then Sony has more expensive options for you.
@@faisalmohamed328 This is exactly it. To the average consumer (such as myself) there is little reason to buy a PS5 pro as it would offer very poor value for money even if you didn't already have the base version. Whats impressive about it? new rumours suggest that the PS6 will be backwards compatible with the PS5 and PS4 as well. for those with a large library of games across the generations, it makes sense to get the console. as building a PC means repurchasing the games you probably already have on your console be it physical or digital.

They don't like that Amazon and other retailers tend to heavily discount games after a very short time which eats into their profit margin. Spider-Man 2 and

They then go on to say we don't know what the difference was
After they say GT7 at 8k was spectacular...
But then ask why the Pro is 700...
The bias is comical
The console isnt expensive, it's just MORE expensive than the last iteration.
You can't ask "why is it this price" then simultaneously say it's running games twice as good and you're very impressed😂😂
Silly comments.
Thank you sir, someone with common sense 🙌

The 4000 pc doesn't change the fact you're playing the exact same game just like the ps5 pro wont change the game outside of resolution & frames.
Honestly 60fps should be the new default minimum expectation.
At least always an option. 8k is a silly thing I'll have no interest in for the next 10 years or never.

If the difference is worth the comparison side by side it's unnecessary. It's like the game of find the 5 differences.
Whether to upgrade to a PS5 Pro depends on a few factors:
Performance Needs: If you want enhanced graphics, faster load times, and better performance in games, the Pro version may be worth it.
Nothing new and no one will notice…. Apple iPhone says hello, how’s that going for Apple ?
We already can notice, take your ps5 and try 30 fps fidelity mode. If you are satisfied with it and don't mind the choppy fps, that's all good and well. If you like 60 fps mode and don't mind the visual downgrade, then the ps5 is the best console for you.
