Yup- they need to do something drastic to gain back some ground. Hell- FREE online play. Screw it. Make the Series X $299. If you can’t get the consoles in homes, what’s the point?

i think what's most frustrating about this generation of playstation is that we basically ended up with a ps5 to play the best version of last generation games, so the baseline ps5 is really a ps4 pro mark ii -- makes me think the ps6 will be the ps5 pro mark ii given how few games are actually coming out, it will be even less significant than the ps5 launch. i guess that's what console generations are becoming. you get 2-3 exclusive games in 4 years, then in the latter half of the systems lifetime games actually start to come out, but don't run great until the next gen console? like wtf.
You're right. I waited to play several current gen games for the pro update. The entire industry is destroying itself now. It's all woke now anyways so playing the best version is even less enticing. Gonna play spider man 2 just for the graphics. Otherwise wait for deep sale or for the games to come to a subscription service. All media is evil propaganda now.
Well the GPU and CPU will both get a substantial boost in power 4 years from now. Waiting 7 years to introduce a new CPU based on Ryzens latest innovations; is going to bump up the frame capability of a PS6 to the point where 240 hz games will run smooth but also have high quality imaging at 2k or 4K with an even more advanced form of pssr. The real question is, how much will it cost? Sony is moving toward a more module approach which is a great idea. Have a base model with good internal specs and let the customer decide if they want the disk drive and added storage. Like a middle ground between console and PC.
And how many has Playstation closed? Playstation is failing my guy. Playstation is that dude making payments on a BMW to look rich yeah you got a BMW but boy is it killing your pockets.
I dont think they have to do anything. In Norway, the PS5 Slim costs less than half of what the PS5 Pro costs currently. PS5 Slim is 4790,- NOK and PS5 Pro is 10190,- NOK. Nobody is going to spend over double the amount of money on a PS5 Pro than the regular PS5 Slim Digital (both come without a disc drive and stand). It's ridiculous.

Every game you just mentioned is emulatable at higher resolutions and framerates than the originals save perhaps Bloodborne but that went from barely bootable to playable in a couple months...6 months and that's solved too And for the older games like GoW and Ratchet and Clank, you can do that on your phone, better than OG quality. Not an issue at all
Some people are still stuck in the past on how they think about Xbox. I am surprised that DF elevates those kind of topics. The main difference with Xbox now is, that they are one of the biggest publsihers now. That money they put out to acquire ABK & Bethesda has to be earned back, so they release on competitors platforms case by case. The idea that is a difficult PR scenario is beyond me, it only would make sense if you think like a platform warrior. The Xbox left the space to always have the best technical performance on a console with the Series S anyway. What they chase is engagement with the ecosystem regardless where you play. In the long run this benefits the company more than on the restricted console market. I see the PS5 Pro vs Xbox Series X discussion as a clever way to distract from the fact that Sony's game output of 1st party games is shockingly sparse.
After $ony “paid” them a visit and they released that video showcasing the ps5 pro, then it’s “what about Xbox?”. Mind you last week they were ishing in the pro.
Microsoft *needs* to keep releasing games on competing platforms just to stop their ABK investment from losing value. What they wanted was for it to grow Game Pass to over 100m users by 2030, which is never going to happen. Buying ABK was not a strategic master stroke that changed the market in their favour, it was a massive F-up that has tied their hands.
XBox’s problem is simple. Playstation “won” (hate calling it that) this generation because it focussed on single player experiences. People WANT that. Yes people love playing Online games. Games that offer them a service. But usually gamers only have 1 or 2 games they’ll play online for the entire duration of that console’s lifespan. They won’t magically shift to the next best thing after investing hours and money in another service. People that buy a console want the “ease” of buying a box, buying a physical game. Put the game in the console and just play. None of that other stuff. To gamers, Xbox feels more like a gaming PC. And at that point they might as well just buy that. Why do you think Nintendo Switch is as big as it is? Because of Mario and Zelda alone? No. Because it is User friendly. None of that “buy a game disc, disc only contains 20% of the game, have to download the rest” kind of stuff. It has clean looking UI without pulling 30 ads in your face as soon as you boot up the system. Just good old “put in a game you bought and play”. That simplicity brings the back joy in gaming. Closest to the Switch we got now is the Playstation. But they are walking a tight rope with the departure of the former CEO, Sony seems to be shifting away from that type of experience: PS5 pro without a disc drive, PSportal that didn’t play games natively, the focus on live service games and an announcement that they want to improve “player retention”. Astrobot is the best to happen to them for over a decade. I just hope they themselves see it that way. Truth is, they all want to chase fortnite’s slice of the pie but don’t realise the player pool that is interested in these types of games is finite. And have most likely already commited to a couple of these services. Remember what made Xbox such a huge thing? I’ll tell you: Games that were popular on the PC and NOT available on Playstation or Nintendo were available on Xbox. Like Elder Scrolls, Doom3, Farcry, etc. Playing Halo2 splitscreen with your friends. That’s gone because ‘online’. Playing Gears of War for it’s offline mode. Nope, you gotta Sign in. Oh and the best mode you can’t play without a connection and the list goes on and on. it really boils down to 1 thing and 1 thing only. Accessibility. A consumer friendly experience. People are tired of games turning into casino’s, app games, live services, advertising campaigns, political agenda’s, etc etc. Gaming is our escape from reality. But they are pushing us right back in it. We don’t want that. We just want to play a game.
@erikouwehand xsx enhanced bc mod and auto hdr, the only reason I want to buy a xsx. It is up to Microsoft's effort what kind enhancement each game has if at all, but they no longer care about patching up games anymore.

I think Sony did not even mention the TFlop number for the PS5 Pro in their marketing material (it would be kind of pointless given the type of upgrades they made).

Xbox Series X is my last console I’ll own from Microsoft. Over the years, they’ve made it clearer that they are not interested in console gaming but instead more focused on PC gaming and multi-platform even for PlayStation. I’ll focus more on PlayStation since they have demonstrated their vision in console gaming and investing in console upgrade while still maintaining their library games mostly on PlayStation and some games going to PC. I’ve already placed my PS5 Pro pre-order yesterday and looking forward to playing all new multi-platform 3rd party games on PS5 Pro. Even if Microsoft releases their beefier Series 2 console in the future, it makes more sense to get a PC Gaming Rig and play all their games on PC while staying with a Sony PS5 Pro or PS6 console because I do enjoy the console more so than PC gaming even though PC will always be more powerful than console but I’m glad to see PlayStation closing the technological gap at least for now with the PS5 Pro to PC graphical experience.
Next gen Xbox will be a hybrid pc. It is the only way they'll survive, and sony will have to adapt accordingly to survive. The only surviving console will be the Switch, for the near future at least.

The smart response after MSoft's great showing at their showcase in June would be to drop the Series X price and bundle a decent Gamepass sub with it (6 months)
They won't do anything. I seriously do not believe Microsoft has a plan for their home consoles. They'd much rather turn Xbox into a service than a device, and this does them a disservice. I think he's a nice guy, but in my opinion it's time for Phil Spencer to step down.
Xbox console brand is done either way. Phil Spencer yaps a lot but ultimately delivered nothing for Xbox brand or the gamers. Don't even think game pass was his brain child but Microsoft's and Satya Nadella. Time for Phil to leave.

Phil is a weasel, but it's ultimately not him making these calls. The current sad state of Xbox is down to directives from above aimed at keeping shareholders happy. I'm sure Phil would have been happy to keep throwing money into a bottomless pit trying to make people care about Xbox hardware again. The reality is that Xbox has never managed to recover from the Xbone disaster, and likely never will. The 360 glory days are so far in the past now that a lot of younger gamers won't even remember them. The brand is a laughing stock.
The practical difference between a console and the PC is the UI. Windows can fix that by having an account to where you only need your controller to login and resume your game.

They'd do well to do nothing. The Series S already harms Xbox development. Another SKU would not be helpful. Even undercutting Sony on price, they're still too far behind to sell like hotcakes. They should just focus on next gen.
@michaellong2439 Wasn't feature parity and split screen the thing that delayed Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox? You can cut back graphical settings for the GPU, but the CPU still needs to juggle AI, Physics, inputs, sound and moving stuff to the GPU. The weakest console does still hinder developers.
lazy devs.. the Series S is a great piece of hardware if games can be scaled down to whatever hardware there is on PC there should be no excuse for the Series S.
@michaellong2439 none of the variables you mentioned change the fact that the Series S is a problem. All you did was point out other problematic hardware.
Xbox already responded with their new lineup of consoles: Xbox Series S with more storage at $350, All Digital Xbox Series X at $450, and the Special Edition Galactic Black Xbox Series X at $600.
What’s crazy is how much clock speed headroom Microsoft has on both of their consoles but chose to not tap into I think their hardware has proved far stable enough and they could boost easily 200 MHz and smoke base PS5 and nearly compete
They should release the PC Box: prebuilt PCs in sleek small factor cases, similar to the Xbox, running both Windows and a dedicated, console-like gaming mode of the OS. 3 models with different specs, the higher one being basically a Pro model, maybe the equivalent of a 4080 but priced lower than a prebuilt from other brands with that GPU. They already make peripherals, so a line of gaming keyboards and mice (mouses?) as optional accessories. Just an idea.

My question is different. Is now that the pro is here. Would xsx finally optimize games better and really use the tools they have such as machine learning, mesh shaders and rdna2 to its full capability. And would they push the x up and not worry about parity since they have an actual reason to. Some games can run 4k60 if on xsx if it was just made to do so. Starfield now looks freaking amazing graphically. Looks like 4k60 and i the lighting is good. Would games like stalker 2 look good compare to ps5 pro games. All out war.
You may not get "bespoke" updates for these Xbox games for the PS5 Pro. It will run the games better with the upscaler but I don't see them supporting ray-tracing and other features right away without a significant patch released later on, likely timed very near to the next Xbox hardware launch.
I thought it odd when Microsoft entered the console space. Perhaps Microsoft finally sees that too. Whats the point of a console without special features and exclusive titles?
What was odd about it? The original xbox and 360 were incredible consoles. During the latter part of the 360 and xbox one era was when the console turned to shit
Better hardware at the price? I consistently see series X at 450 bucks where I live and building a pc that can run games at that same performance is at least 150-200 dollars more. You would need a 6750 XT which is getting close to the whole price of the console.

Oh fck off! They had more games nominated at TGA last year and won more awards than PlayStation. PS users are losing their minds about the possibility of accessing Xbox titles like Forza Horizon, Flight Sim, Gears, Fable etc. Quality content is not issue for Xbox anymore, they won that.
True. Sony mostly makes movie games but atleast they come out polished. All of Xbox 1st party have been disappointment this entire generation. (Halo infinite, Starfield, Senua etc) Xbox has gone with quantity over quality to build Game pass numbers.
The best way for Xbox is to put all their subpar games on the Pro, and I mean with those Pro enhancements - just to make them somewhat more appealing for anyone, and worth buying.
If Microsoft ever made an Xbox-branded gaming PC, it would send shockwaves through the gaming world. It could feel like the final chapter in the iconic Xbox vs. PlayStation rivalry, signaling Microsoft’s decision to step back from the traditional console wars. A move like that could be seen as waving the white flag, admitting that they’re no longer focused on battling Sony head-on in the console arena. But is it really surrender-or could it be the ultimate power move? Microsoft could be shifting their focus toward a future where gaming is platform-agnostic, where hardware matters less than access and performance. Imagine an Xbox ecosystem that thrives not on just one device, but on every device, seamlessly blending the best of PC and console gaming. It could transform the way we think about gaming platforms, but yes, it could also bring an end to one of the most epic rivalries in gaming history. Would that be the end of the PlayStation vs. Xbox debate? Maybe-but the dawn of a whole new battlefield could be waiting.
"XBOX-branded PC" ...isn't that just a normal PC? I can already play all Xbox games day one on PC. I don't see the point of XBOX having to spending money on R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of a new XBOX PC. And XBOX has already shown signs of exiting the hardware market; it doesn't make sense that they would double down on hardware at this point.
@@duerf5826 Yes, it would just be a PC. Although, I think the Xbox brand is so damaged that Microsoft would be better off starting fresh with a new name. With the Xbox 25th anniversary coming up in 2026, and with the rumor that the next gen hardware is launching in 2026, Microsoft has an opportunity to market the end of the Xbox era into the start of the new era of Microsoft gaming. Heck, they could even release an Xbox Mini as a way to say goodbye to Xbox. It'd really play on the nostalgia factor.
What's the point releasing a console rather than good games honestly? The PS5 Pro is almost pointless. Xbox are not in such a bad position all of a sudden (imo). They would be better off releasing something more original when the time is right.
Playstation not having any competition is a bad thing. Sony will become greedy and anti-consumer. No direct competition could mean a lack of innovation as well.

if you are releasing new hardware would it be a benefit or a negative to release not in a similar cadence to a traditional console cycle. If the next Xbox is 1-2 years away and the PS6 a similar 1-2 years away then what was the point of the PS5 pro? Or if the PS6 is 3-4 years away then we could have a scenario where the ps6 is way more powerful then the next xbox because of the 2 extra year development time
MS needs to REALLY get their shit together now. manage their talent and IP, of which they have plenty. Once their games are releasing at a good cadence, they can use timed exclusivity to build their console install base. Then people will start building a library on their platform. Finally; shift away from the games pass model. subscription based gaming with launch titles isn't viable at the moment. Build up the scalability first.
Honestly, Make a PC. Seriously. Make a Windows Gaming PC. Imagine a Windows Gaming PC without the desktop. It has the typical Xbox UI, support for multiple store platforms, but essentially locked down to just that UI/UX for maximum performance. They can standardize around typical hardware that they choose. Games could target that. Then roll that UI to other Windows PCs if they want to use it.
We already had that with Metro. Amd everyone absolutely hated it and they removed it. Theres already dozens of front ends for PCs. We dont need Xbox to come along and draw one up.
Xbox will respond by being grateful that Satya Nadella hasn't pulled the plug entirely, they will become purely a third party publisher like Sega in the near future.
They're releasing their games day one on Steam for those who want the best experience on the best hardware. Far more valuable to me as a consumer than another piece of locked down hardware. An infinitely more appealing proposition to me than a "Pro" console that still falls behind the curve.
Wtf is that guy talking about?! The Xbox One X Destroyed the PS4 Pro in power and performance! It was stronger than a series S in a few regards! Just crazy talk.

Space Marine 2 is never below 1080p on the series x in performance mode, but the series s used a resolution between 720p-1080p. For space marine 2 the best console at the moment is the series x, since it outperforms the ps5 by up to 10-15 fps (digital foundry made a test and this was the result).
There’s absolutely no reason to counter with a Series X Pro. Power wise, the generation is still held back by the Series S. Apart from graphics, what meaningful improvement has this generation or last really brought to the table? They’re just shinier Xbox 360s with weaker AAA lineups. If Microsoft wants back on top, they need to focus on games and service, not incrementally better hardware. Launching next-gen early would be a mistake too…. Unless they just throw the towel in on this gen, ride games as service for a couple years, while every first party studio pivots to support the next gen launch window.

I really don't understand your arguments. What Horizon ZD Remaster and price of PS5 Pro bundle have to do with Series X. Base PS5 still exist and it's a very good piece of hardware with excellent games.
If XBox opens up their console to PC, would that impact the rumors we’re hearing about a handheld? At that point, and arguably right now I guess as well, any windows handheld can play XBox games and everything else. They would need to somehow stand apart in that space and be completely open and unrestricted, otherwise any windows or PC handheld on the market would already be better than it right out of the box in many aspects.
I was planning on getting an Xbox series x later this year, but this scenario really makes me insecure about it. It feels like Microsoft won't support the console from now on, that they'll focus entirely in their subscription service and nothing more. Feeling more and more about going for a Ps5, even though I already have some games in my Xbox account, because it seems a better choice on the long run.

Keep all of your Xbox library thru game pass while playing at the highest quality 😁 I just built my first pc ever and now recommending to anyone who is jumping the console-ship. I have never played games at such a stunning quality and I am 28 years old, trust me when I say that there’s no better gaming experience than on pc.
You say its hardware has no power issues.. Thats not the problem.. Why is the console not being used to its full potential.. Or did they mean something else? Can the series X features be used better? Im clueless on this stuff.. Is it more powerful than the ps5 base or isn't it..
Both sony and microsoft are quickly relegating themselves to third party publishers. They're attempting to have a console audience along with a pc audience. Going to be a rude awakening when they realise they've essentially encouraged consumers to just altogether ditch their platform and sony and microsoft will have to settle for competing for 70% revenue of their games on steam as just another third party publisher
When Sony's big AAA titles come day 1 to PC, and not a year or more later, then, and only then, can you make that comparison. There is a reason Sony and Nintendo aren't doing what Microsoft is doing, it's the same reason why Microsoft *has* to release their games on competitors platforms... 2 of the 3 have healthy thriving businesses doing what they have done for over a decade...
I guess microsoft is less effected by getting rid of consoles compared to sony, since they focus on stuff like studios and gamepass anyway since years.
My guess is that like maybe too many other times they will react poorly. What they should do is unlock a windows experience on their Xbox, opening it up would have won them the generation.
letting xbox run windows seems like the best move for them, they should just make a version of windows with a console os feel, another good thing from that would be handhelds being able to use that os, this seems like such a good move to do, i dont understand why they havent done it
How do they respond? DONT!!! I don’t see the need for a pro version, and I’m a PlayStation kind of guy. This is a waste of money when they haven’t even fully pushed the limits of the PS5. And all we have this generation is remasters of older titles. What’s the point ?
Oh shut up Karen. 😂😂😂😂 Haven't you noticed that all games on performance mode have low resolution that makes shimmering result. That's them already at the limit. Which is why pro was needed to increase resolution while maintaining the 60fps.. Resolution performance of base ps5 is capped at lower resolution for performance mode.
God of War Ragnarok was running at 120 frames. Returnal was running at 60 frames but barely able to make 1080P the idea that they are not pushing these consoles is a straight myth and EXACTLY why there is a PS5 PRO in the first place targeting 4K 60.

Why should they change anything if it's working out fine?
I picked up and enjoyed my One X Scorpio last generation, but see no need for a Series X2 today. I am curious what direction they go in 2026. Providing an Xbox Game mode interface for Win 11, which helps PC handhelds is the most important. MS's greatest potential enemy is not Sony, but actually Steam at the end of the day.
I remember the XSX's selling point was it being the most powerful console ever made. A bit of a weird situation now where the PS5 Pro is going to objectively be the best platform to play stuff like GTA6.
If they focus on their company core business, they could design a Windows OS streamlined for gaming. Maybe package it in a cost-efficient hybrid console and/or sell the OS on existing windows machines. The handheld would have back compat with Xbox titles. If the streamlined OS solves stutter struggle like Linux, it would be all the more marketable to gamers.
Seeing that more people are playing older games and the game companies seem to have lost touch with what their customers want. A pro or next Gen version of a console seems pointless.
Could Microsoft make a specialized version of Windows, call it "tooled", that allows for more PC games to play on an Xbox without the rest of the bloat that a personal PC has? Similar to Valve OS. I see more people putting PCs in their living rooms to play games on their TVs now. and I think they could still exist in this space while being a good bridge between consoles and PCs.
01:40 Hmm... sounds a bit sus. I mean, if the devs wanted to get the "Best" experience out there to gamers why didn't they take advantage of the extra features and power of the Series X consoles? Take the time to optimize for the Series S? Many didn't really seem to care much about it for the PS4 pro. We sure about that?
If they are smart, just keep adding good games to the Game Pass Ultimate and ensure their customer support remains superior to Sony's. They already have a much more pleasant sounding and professional looking console. The one area where Playstation still has a bit of an edge is in the DualSense controller, so I guess Microsoft could surprise us with Elite 3 with hall effect sticks.
Game pass is making people get bored with gaming. I much prefer to buy one game and play it and own it. With game pass people are juggling three or more games at once until they feel numb, a bit like scrolling social media.
Gamepass has had a mass negative effect kn how cinsumers interact their games. Its no wonder developers are beginning to skip porting their games to Xbox.

I’ll tell you:
Games that were popular on the PC and NOT available on Playstation or Nintendo were available on Xbox.
That part about physical games is just not true. Most people get their games digitally. Physical game sales go down every year.

(Halo infinite, Starfield, Senua etc)
Xbox has gone with quantity over quality to build Game pass numbers.
@crazechill1 and what does PlayStation have their best games a kids game
Maybe-but the dawn of a whole new battlefield could be waiting.
an XSX with Windows would be LIT... I hope its successor is like that
@@LightningNavigator it could easily run both OS
"XBOX-branded PC"
...isn't that just a normal PC? I can already play all Xbox games day one on PC. I don't see the point of XBOX having to spending money on R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of a new XBOX PC. And XBOX has already shown signs of exiting the hardware market; it doesn't make sense that they would double down on hardware at this point.
@@duerf5826 think of price/performance ratio to gain more customers, though...
@@duerf5826
Yes, it would just be a PC.
Make a price-competitive next gen xbox. I'd gladly buy their console.
I don't think they need to do anything. Gta 6 will sell consoles.
I have a series x and im completely fine with it.
Xbox is dead lost war already cope😂
@SolarErazer they didn't lose. You don't make money on console sales. You make money of of game sales. And they own the gaming companies.
They already own half of the gaming industry and trust me, Microsoft is def not in a dire situation economically 😂
@@SolarErazerit's cute when the kids try to talk
@@SolarErazer you think people care about console wars like you do, kid.
What's the point releasing a console rather than good games honestly? The PS5 Pro is almost pointless. Xbox are not in such a bad position all of a sudden (imo). They would be better off releasing something more original when the time is right.
Microsoft's Response: Please take what little remains of our exclusives library.
i mean xbox series x and s in dev mode can run any ps1 ps2 psp gamecube wii and more u can emulate just like an pc!
Playstation not having any competition is a bad thing. Sony will become greedy and anti-consumer. No direct competition could mean a lack of innovation as well.
@@SammySam7x unfortunately Xbox aren't competing tho we need someone else to step in and give it a try as everything Microsoft has done gas only made things worse for gamers
if you are releasing new hardware would it be a benefit or a negative to release not in a similar cadence to a traditional console cycle.
All that power to just play xbox 360 games. What a shame.
I want some of the drugs you’re on. Xbox had nothing close to PlayStation exclusives. Multiplats were barely better. I’m primarily a PC player so couldn’t care less about mediocre hardware honestly.
@@marioricardo7934 right... i got a pro for psvr, i did not get an x because they had no vr and 95% of my games were 360 games.
@@caliginousmoira8565 VR games don't sell well enough for Xbox to bother investing in it, especially when they still in a distant 3rd in the console market.
Xbox one x powerr Destroys ps4 pro??? But what does the power did to you when one X doesn't have even good exclusives? Lmao!!!!
Hopefully not at all. Either focus on actually making a badass powerhouse console/pc or do the hybrid console thing which would be cool.
Honestly its not necessary. Series x is capable of perfectly good visuals until next gen
Have you played Space Marine 2, Jedi Survivor, The First Descendant on performance mode? If you did you wouldn't say that. You may not care about them, but those are the games I play and I would like to play and they go below 1080p in performance mode and still drops to 46 fps which is fine for me since I have a tv with VRR, but the graphics are really just xbox one level and that's unacceptable.
@@sungjin-woo3894 get a pc then
@@robertcarr4172 why would I do that? Spend more money just to put it on upscaling from 600p to 1440p? 2080S and Ryzen 5 3600 can't even get 60 fps at 1080 with performance DLSS so pls at least look into what you are talking about. I'd have to spent at the very least double what I spent on my series x to get an acceptable experience.
After yesterday (the Horizon Zero Dawn price hike debacle and them selling a PS5 Anniversary Edition for 1,100 euros that only scalpers profited from) I'm ever so happy with my Series X. Just got Epic Mickey Rebrushed today
I have seen someone one eBay that is willing to pay 1500€ for a 30th edition. 😁

I really don't understand your arguments. What Horizon ZD Remaster and price of PS5 Pro bundle have to do with Series X.

They'll release an optimised PlayStation pro halo anniversary 25th edition
I'd like it if they released some of the machine learning magic ahead of time on the Series S/X to get more performance.
Guys build a pc instead!
How will Microsoft respond to the PlayStation 5? 🤔
Unless I’m mistaken they literally said they “lost”
@@marufsarkar100 they won't and don't plan to . Xbox has given up.
They don't even have as much indies as PS5 lol and I'm on Xbox as,it's so lacking but the features quick resume etc are cool
They never responded to the ps4.
letting xbox run windows seems like the best move for them, they should just make a version of windows with a console os feel, another good thing from that would be handhelds being able to use that os, this seems like such a good move to do, i dont understand why they havent done it
How do they respond?
@@OTG1776 sorry about that, I thought you said pro isn't needed.. You are right, ps5 pro existed to let us run quality mode at 60fps.. Not even a single ps5 games right now runs quality mode at 60fps, because of hardware limit we are force to play lower resolution to play in 60fps.
This. Xbox needs to pick their battles, and this isn't one they can win right now. Especially with the Switch successor looming. That thing will suck up all the attention. Let Sony keep eating Ls with pricing, hardware supply droughts and game cancellations.
New controllers and PS5 pro patches for their ‘Project Latitude’ games
They need to make an Xbox-X slim and price cut. I dont want a fridge under my telly but something small.
well u can't make a Windows Store on consoles seens consoles do not support Keyboard+Mouse and also Co-Op games on PC are mostly F2P while on Consoles they are not so how is this gonna work?
Microsoft is going straight to Next-Gen in 2026. And If that fails, they will probably exit the Console market, and focus on being a Third party Publisher.
no way they quit the console market. that gamepass money is too lucrative
I agree. I think sony will release their console in 2027 giving microsoft a 1yr head start having the best console. It looks like microsoft will release a handheld console prior to then as a more power competitor to switch 2 lite.
they're not competing directly ie launching consoles same time with sony anymore. they're doing it like nintendo and releasing on their own time. 2026 is more likely their next gen release.
Yup, trying to get a repeat of the 360 era, the 25 year anniversary of the Xbox.
That what people are saying before each new generation.
If Next xbox is more open system then I might actually get it. As long as it gives the ability to play older games like BF1 with 4K/120hz + free multiplayer + Gyro aiming
I dont believe the best console experience for Xbox Games will be on Sony. Not unless MS cant optimize games for there own consoles...which maybe they cant...
At what point do we blame the devs especially Bethesda, I’m tired of slop and its crazy cause I play the slop they put out 😅
The uninstall button.
The game is great and all that, but god it is hard to fully remove all the junk it leaves behind on your system. You really need to check out that mod when the time comes to get rid of it.
Otherwise, I think Sonys PS5 PRO Overhaul is a nice start.
@@trollingfade2274 for me it’s been since Xbox one got games at lower res than ps4. I acknowledge MS part in last gen’s issues , but to argue the devs didn’t play the majority hand in last gen’s experience is nasty work.
Will Sony even let them have a devkit for Pro or PS6 right away?
There is no need for a mid gen upgrade
Whatever they do they are going to lose and keep losing for ages and ages for keeping GP as priority 😞
Meanwhile microsoft's gaming division overtook sony as #2 (#1 is tencent) most valued gaming company worldwide by gaming revenue at the end of 2023 😅
Gamepass is expected to increase to $5.5 billions in 2025, while microsoft paid ~$1 billion for third party games who join the gamepass, so it's a very high profit-margin for them.
With that CPU? I doubt it will be a significant difference. Maybe with upscaling but at that point, will it even run at 60 fps?
If they focus on their company core business, they could design a Windows OS streamlined for gaming. Maybe package it in a cost-efficient hybrid console and/or sell the OS on existing windows machines. The handheld would have back compat with Xbox titles.
If the streamlined OS solves stutter struggle like Linux, it would be all the more marketable to gamers.
I will laugh my ass of in 1ß2 years Buckingham the neckt Xbox for less than a pro thinking about all These fanboys in the comment section here.
Games, that's the best way to respond.
I do hope the next allows steam and epic store to work on it thats the only way to stop sony from blocking games from going to xbox
Make something with a better cpu would be a good start
01:40
Hmm... sounds a bit sus.
@@borisborovcanin8434 you do realize to keep adding more GOOD games to gamepass that would cost money right , and that damages gamepass financial Numbers
I said it from the beginning gamepass only makes sense to Microsoft where they can spend less on game development or increase monetisation
They can't spend too much on any one of these games and still expect the service to be profitable
