These videos are what people need. Some machine ball park settings, type of rod and size to use, and more, all in a video to inspire people! Thanks guys, Bill
Jody and Andrew, thanks for another great video and your time ! Be blessed you guys!! Oh and Jody, only 1yr of your videos left to watch and I can start all over again , man they’re great!!!
I really like the picture in picture snippets. Maybe an arc shot on the main screen and a body position shot in the small screen to see how he's positioned 👍
4 people disliked it? Better to stand out somehow than not at all i guess. The weld monger tig gloves are great but they do run large. Thanks for the vids. I always learn something.
As you use a point your rod at the centre of the pipe for pipe welds. This don't seem to translate to the flat plate welds which have a fair drag angle. Is there any good reason the 90 degree angle don't work on the flat plate welds?
I just love this craft so much,, see here my country will be paying welders almost HALF, of what im making with my current line of work but, yall know what? Im still taking welding job once i get my certificate, and thats for sure... I dont know... maybe i just love playing with fire... There's this satisfaction or maybe an addiction i have for it...😂😂
Evey time I try welding pipe at school I use a 3/32 6010 and it just blows all the way threw the bevel and it makes a key hole but it just keep getting bigger and I have to stop. Please give me some advice our welding instructor shows us absolutely nothing he expects us to learn all on our own I guess, is that normal of a welding instructor? Great videos by the way they have taught me alot, thank you.
Wesley Jennings set your amps around 75 and push that rod in the bevel, short arc it when the keyhole getS too big. Maybe find a new welding instructor, sounds like he just wants a paycheck!
He has a pretty good pod cast on getting set up in plasma cutting with a CNC machine. Lots of it carries over into doing it by hand with out a CNC table
Set me up with a drag race with him. Only time I have had to put a 5/32 bead in was on hard pipe. You can cram it unless you want iu. I can half his time with a 1/8th bead rod.
Sometimes it is done with compressed air and rupture disks, quite a thing to see. When that disk gives way it will scare the sh!t out of you. You won't believe what comes out, particularly on a new install.
@@weldingtipsandtricks thanks jody i beleive it would be a good tutorial because there is not much out there theres alot of backfeeding jody you like backfeed?
It's a demonstration video, not production. Andrew might be young but far from an amateur. I believe he placed 5th in the world skills competition several years back, which is a lot more involved than just downhill pipe.
Thanks man, my bro watched and learned from you. At the age of 57 we lost him to many cancers. Thanks for making his days easier. Thank you.

you have the best arc shots of any welding channel. love the content man keep it up. you've helped me out a ton with my ironworkers apprenticeship
Beautiful camera shots

Thank you Jody...learning
Great video and information, you guys make all this stuff look easy!
Hello and thank you from germany for this and all the other Videos !!! 👍
Saludos desde méxico gracias por el contenido
Thanks Jody
Nice Jody n weld tube need to do something together

Again very impressive Welding Jody would you happen to have any 6 inch schedule 80 6010 Open Rd. open and 7018 feeling cup in the 5G position videos?
As always great videos, have you ever done a pipe test on schedule 80 2” pipe using 7018 only for root fill and cap.
As you use a point your rod at the centre of the pipe for pipe welds. This don't seem to translate to the flat plate welds which have a fair drag angle. Is there any good reason the 90 degree angle don't work on the flat plate welds?
Thanks for that very education video.
Greetings from Croatia.
👌👌👍🏻👍🏻✌️✌️
Good lesson
Super ! Super ! Thank you so much !
Bob i hope you reply my comment .how about 6011 rod is always good use in downhill??
Good 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏻💐💐
Off topic but what is the maximum metal thickness you would weld short circuit with?
I just love this craft so much,, see here my country will be paying welders almost HALF, of what im making with my current line of work but, yall know what? So why do you weld pipe vertical down and not vertical up? How do you stop slag inclusion ect? thanks.
In my experience the 5/32" bead tests I've seen, the inspector wanted a penney gap penney land. Stay safe brother.
Root face 1/16 +or -1/32 gap 1/16 +or 1/32
It’s preference for the welder not inspector . As long as it’s in the procedure . You can do penny and and gap or 3/32 or 1/8 .
“Hey it’s ya boi Juicebox” 😂😂😂😂
best colour arc shots
What is the reason for not whipping the puddle back and fourth compared to just running a straight bead? Is it due to the fact that it’s downhill pipe
I be takin my national competency test 2 for SMAW and thats for 6g pipe, and im still forgetting the diff between 6010 and 6011
Thanks for the video. Any chance you could do a video for downhand fill and cap please🤗?
Videos with juice box are always good
great video, thanks for the lesson..
Blue hold on Warning 's hit welding down pass?
thank you .
Juicebox? Hes FIRED!
How much amps is good for that thickness of the plate to make a root pass?..
Great video!

Is that a fixed shade or an autodarkening lens in that pancake hood?
I d like to learn from you ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅
Thanks :)
Can you or have you done a video on setting up a plasma cutting machine and everything to get cutting, from what type and the air compressor
He has a pretty good pod cast on getting set up in plasma cutting with a CNC machine. Lots of it carries over into doing it by hand with out a CNC table
About the 1/8 rod how many amps, 16gap 16land
Can you do some outside corner stick welding, would like to see it with 7018.
Set me up with a drag race with him. Only time I have had to put a 5/32 bead in was on hard pipe. You can cram it unless you want iu. I can half his time with a 1/8th bead rod.
1/8th anyone can
excelent lesson
Schedule?
👍 thanks!
Can you review kemppi mig fast pulse please?
Esab don't sell those migs in single phases in the U.K. I dont know why ☹️
I see a lot of trash going into the pipe. How do they go about cleaning out the pipe once it's closed up.
Sometimes it is done with compressed air and rupture disks, quite a thing to see. When that disk gives way it will scare the sh!t out of you. You won't believe what comes out, particularly on a new install.
Looks like his keyhole is smaller than the diameter if his rod. Very interesting.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Tig fingers came in a mitt or glove to protect the knuckle
Jody can you do a 6" pipe in 2g tig with the laywire technique.
i will put it on the list

Good morning teacher, I want to work for you. I want to emigrate to your country. Do you work for all your respect and appreciation
Super sir
Excelent jog, a good video
rigid rocks
Why do pipe welders wear the different style of welding hood?
c&r performance Tucker keep the sun from backlighting inside the hood.
I'm also APL 1104 welder in Pakistan
Jody, will you be doing anything when you reach either 670k subscribers or 700k subscribers?
Thank you.
👍🏻
Solid:)
