- Videos posted on social media have people questioning the arrest of a 13-year-old boy at a Summerville Walmart Monday.
One of the videos shows police pushing on the boy's neck or shoulders. The Facebook video has been shared thousands of times. Activists say this incident is a major setback in the community.

Let’s wait for the body cam footage to be released showing the entire incident releasing the full story, and not just this small biased snippet.

Just do a search , there are several videos.
If you catch the whole video the police first harass the kids, then demanded to see their ID knowing full well children don't have IDs then threated to arrest the kid for not having an ID then the police officers assaulted the kid. The kid tried to defend himself, then the second officer jumped on the kid and shoved him to the ground. Then when the second officer said how old is he, and the 1st officer said 13 then they knew thet screwed up so they sat around trying to figure some excuse out to justify their assault on him.
They tried to claim he was blocking the door so people couldn't get in or out, but you cam clearly see a half dozen people going in an out with no problems.

He was arrested because he was trespassing and because he hit the female officer in the eye.
I guess the poor guy from NC that was killed in the Chick Fil A parking lot in Summerville, by off duty Summerville Pd over a parking spot gets his justice pushed aside.

1400 times 400 plus just this year alone.
So over 1800 calls were to Summerville PD in regards to "this child" and this was the first time they showed up? Somethings just are not adding up. Sounds like the Summerville PD wasn't there because of any specific complaints or concerns.

yes because kids seliing lemomaidin front of their parents' house is the same as someone selling things in front of a business that doesn't want them there. Plus, I'm sure a little kid at a lemonaid stand would cuss out and become physically violent with police, not to mention using racial epitaths.
What happened to calling the parents or family members to pick the children up and educating the parents and children.

He literally was trespassed from several locations, cursed at the officers when they asked him for ID and then PUNCHED an officer. Wtf did he think was going to happen? Good job officers, maybe he won’t do that again.

The police have received 1,400 calls from this plaza since January 2023.
All of these sellers know they’re nor supposed to be selling there and at Azalea Square, yet they continue to do it, even though there are signs posted.

Immediately You got ID. Not what's going on. If he is selling roses he is probably poor or need some money for candy. IdK. But what I do know this could have been handle better. So once the bystander video hit the net, PD then comes out with their video. Yeah right. Take their bully asses to court and sue. It's the only remedy
I met this young boy, 1.5 years ago. He explained to me the meaning of this flower he made. I asked him how much?
His response was, whatever you want. He was absolutely respectful, very polite, and took the time to educate me.

The bottom line is that the stores do not want the rose sellers in front of their stores.

They weren't stealing - they were selling flower planter things. But, were going up in fromt of the doors to Cato, and Walmart getting in front of patrons. Walmart called police cause they wouldn't leave.

Great Job Summerville Police, they were asked to leave 1st ...then they were IDed ,when the police tried to detain him ,he punches the female cop ,so they took him to the ground while on the ground he was still resisting.....maybe parents should teach kids to respect the law .
I have no problem with the kids who sell at Walmart for girl scouts ,veterans group. But Walmart doesn't want just anyone and everyone selling in their doors.
