- The humble tear off is an insanely cheap but huge bang for buck item that we're pretty sure you're not using.
They're practical and also make you look like a pro.

After riding 200 miles through the Scottish Highlands. And the mass murder of millions of bugs. Not to mention drastically impaired vision. I started researching tear offs. And like you I don't understand why more street riders don't use these. I for sure be ordering some.
Don't comment often on youtube, but have to say great video! Like the editing and the ammount of effort you have put into it. Too bad my dark visor can't have tearoffs, would have used it 100%

I agree, such a clean look plus the practicality. My new lid gets delivered in 2 days and I'm all over this. I was little confused at first, had to figure out that pin locks and tear off posts are not the same thing lol. So I remove the pin locks to install the posts correct?

I was ones driving about 120 kph with an open visor on a busy freeway cause of a dirty visor and a BIG bee flew into my helmet. I managed to stop and for some reason the bee didn't even sting me!

“Because they look kick ass” isn’t really a great reason. If you’re going to stop to throw stuff away anyways why not just wipe your visor with a cloth instead?

Would you say that based on the title? In my opinion you have an actual bit of kit, a real price, and an item most people don't use. Most my close friends have picked up tear offs too and love them. Genuinely curious, which part is click bait to you?
@@justshofin1083 "You're missing" implies that I should have it. Example, you're missing your leg. And "AWESOME" particularly the capitals but I think most people over do the titles.
Honestly I'm probably just upset because I think the whole idea of these for day to day riding is a bit ridiculous. It's just wastage when you could just pull over and clean the visor.
Maybe on a track day when you can't pull over because your trying to get a great lap time or win a race but, day to day? Come on. Really?
In all honesty, I got that from a friend who literally said, "I've been missing out on these all my riding life".
I really do use them, day to day. The setup I showed may seem a little involved but in reality they take me about 30 seconds and I mount maybe two per week.
I suppose its really about the kind of rider you are. But when I get a huge bug, I stop off, pull it, toss it in the bin and ride off, never stopping the bike, no dramas and in those scenarios, they've made me super happy.
I get that they may not be for everyone. But the friends I've showed them to really love them. Apologies if you felt mislead, ill re-evaluate the title for sure.
