I thought about trying a clone before I popped for the real knifes. Your videos are great & very helpful. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I own a number of real Benchmade and also a few clones. Gotta say those clones were made by different factories since some have better fit and finish or better blade steels. One of the reasons I buy clones is I for one do believe real Benchmade is highly over priced for what they are. Great video, thanks, man.
@@levvy001 ya might wanna check out the store clearanceprice123 on dhgate. i just grabbed a mini troodon clone and a infidel sorta clone ( handle has different grooves, or its a clone of a knife i dont know about) for $27 bucks shipped. i cant vouch for their quality but they have aluminum handles and shipped out within 2 days. their prices are way below everyone elses, might be too good to be true but for less than 30 bucks i figured i'll take the gamble.

I'm planning on buying a clone bug-out, I'm just nervous that the knife community will be outside my house with pitchforks, torches and authentic bug-out's ! 😬😨😱
what do you think about buying aftermarket titanium scales for a fake benchmade 535? i want to use the fake blade and other internals but use high quality scales, might sound a bit backwards from what you did but i like softer steel.
If it works that would be cool. I'm actually glad that you asked that question because I went to put the real scales on the fake out blade with the fake out internals and it did not turn out as good. If you go on this venture please keep me posted on how it works out for you.

I wanna do some swapouts and stuff like you did, and also like you, i did purchase a real one on principle (and curiosity) but im dyin to see how a chinese one compares up close. I recommend China hi end edc store. They seem to have much more quality. Also, thanks for buying the real deal. I'm sure you're not disappointed in the quality of the steel in the blade or the smoothness of the lock.
Hey I got the autocrat today... it's just like the pics and really lightweight and came with legit box and bag and all that (axis lock sticker?) Its pretty sharp, fired good and fit and finish is good but I think the same dingaling is grinding all these blades... would it kill them to line it up right!? Anyway its sounds like plasticky a bit and not as authoritative as the microtech type stuff but tha6s all I've had never an infidel but the inside appears to be a different mechanism on this.... I remember I said I'd tell how it was when I got it and so far I'm liking it.

@@levvy001 noticed on the clone that the bladeplay is opposite of the microtech style otf. What I mean is when I apply pressure it only wiggles one way and is held the other direction by spring tension normally and the microtech and autocrats are opposite. When I deploy the ultrafake and press it down to cut something the blade will move up slightly before it feels solid, the autocrats blade (with button facing the sky) tension is the other way where it's already tight if you push down in that direction... that make sense?
Kewl. And as far as the haters….if the held true to that hate of Chinese parts, they’d half to walk everywhere if truly dig into all the parts of their vehicles and found out where a lot of them originate from. Harley Davidsons aren’t even 100% American made anymore.

But attacking guns will lead to an attack on knives. Not to get to political but it is all about control. If they are successful in taking guns then it’ll be knives, baseball bats, hammers, and crow bars. So I think for a knife company to support that effort is beyond asinine.

Lol, well If I could.. I totally recommend a real bugout and save a few bucks up and get you some metal scales for it. You won't regret it.

I'm not sure whats out there for the autocrat but the MTs and infidels have some aftermarket upgrades that are titanium and what not.
