Where'd u find a bench made on wish 😂
@@americanstrong8724 lol! You don't!
That thing weighs less than a bic lighter, feels hollow, I dropped it once and the trigger popped off, I tapped the blade with a hammer and it immediately snapped. But the Butterfly Logo was Dope and from ten feet away you probably won’t be able to tell it was only $10

Counterfeits, clones and copies are different things. No issues with clones and copies (less accurate copies than clones) but I want to call in an airstrike on factories and distributors that sell branded counterfeits.
@@dbmail545 yeah that's really the point of alot of my videos, know the difference and buy from Authorized distributors.
I’m probably going to get a 940 clone. If I can figure out who’s got a good one (never bought anything from any of the direct from China online stores that are all over the internet ,so dk where to order from.w a knife or anything else. Couldn’t care less if it’s got a butterfly logo or not.just want to get the best knockoff and spend some time with it before possibly getting another expensive knife.from what I’ve seen after looking into it a little deeper, the Chinese stuff isn’t all bad stuff. Some even switch up the design a little bit and make a knife that is better in some ways, but keep the blade, balance, demotions & important parts about identical .. a good enough knife to actually use & enough like the one I think I want to help make that call. )I just very recently got a hankering for a axis lock or bar lock ect type of knife. 3 weeks ago or something. Never had one, never really noticed them . But since I have, the 940 keeps popping up as a favorite. So ,went to a local gun store that appears to be a authorized dealer. I didn’t ask,but they have a big nice looking BM glass display cases with the TM all over the place, back lit & all. The thing is, it is locked, there is a sales person kinda hanging over your shoulder when you’re trying to check out the knives. I get that. Some people don’t know how to handle knives and might drop them or mess them up in some way,put them back with finger prints or looking messy or something like that. Or maybe even try to steal one. With cameras everywhere ,especially in a gun store & a bunch of people with loaded guns on them, that would be about the last place I would expect a thief to try something like that..But who knows. People.?.?. I had stumbled on a clone video before looking at some of the knives in that BM case.1 single video & from what I saw they were selling some real ones and some fakes at around 1/2 price. I suppose they expect the customer to know what is too good to be true and what is not.& people should do their own research. I do. .I knew enough to spot a few real ones and some clones. There was customers who were waiting to check out ,so I told the guy thx and let him lock up. They also had a few display knives that were on a cable. They were not good examples & loose and all.+ cable was in the way of trying out the action. Any way. That’s what’s up. Usually prefer a drop point blade but the reason ppl like the 940 & the reason the guy made the 1st one has made me think i could use one. & there’s the current economy & inflation. I honestly need to go budget at the moment ..That’s the bottom line. Thx for the video though. . I like otfs too. have 1.a old ultratech with some cool features. .showed it to my boss years ago,he bought a infidel a cpl months later. I know that reverb feeling you were talking about. Felt a little cheap compared to my MT. Over & out. Like & subscribed
@@wbwills2 I have a couple clone osbourne and they are great. A $40 test drive isn't a bad idea.. but I'll tell ya, you won't be disappointed if you get the real deal. Love my 940 and my 9400. And yes my MT feels way better than my infidel, autocrat and shootout. Thanks for stopping in and keep me posted on what you get.
I don’t understand what you mean by “the blade has to be in neutral”???- Edit: NEVERMIND! I think I figured it out; or else it re-seated itself after the first trigger “fail” but it’s been cleaned, rust removed, oiled and put back together! Finally works right!! Thank you for this video-otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten this thing working right 😅 Only suggestions: make sure ALL your movements/what you’re doing to the knife can be seen or explain what/why you’re doing EVERYTHING. For instance, once you showed us how the knife worked without its cover, and you told us it had to be “in neutral” (what does that mean?) you then started fiddling with one of the tiny spring-locks just off camera, like you were trying to get it to engage or dis-engage but because it was off camera and you didn’t say WHY you did that…just a couple of confusing spots here or there. I actually lost (and found) one of those tiny little springs FOUR times 😮💨 but thankfully found it each time, and it’s SECURELY back in there now! Great video. Before I found this I didn’t even KNOW this thing was called an “OTF” knife. Learned a lot. Thanks 👍
@@Silent_Soliloquies yeah I learned alot too... neutral just means not engaged.. resting. It's for a lack of a better term but made perfect sense. My hands are quite large and while making the video I was watching what I was doing through the camera screen and had to do a couple things off screen. Didn't effect the outcome though. Thank you for watching and the critiques.
Lol! Thanks man
OK you got my attention. But about $350? I guess I'll take 2.
If you get one one, #pacificsons on etsy has the titanium hardware.
Waiting for the "Why would you bring a knife to church oh my goddddd" comments
This video isn’t gonna get enough traction for any comments 😂
You are the best reviewer on clones. You always give an honest fair review. Would love to see you bring back more of the clone videos like you had in the past.

I love the Chinese this hate has to stop
If the small springs dont work or are damaged, you can take a really small section of a pen spring and put it in, for some reason my springs were both ruined after 1 day of use, but pen springs are alot sturdier, but its difficult to get the right tension for the knife to lock in place correctly.
It might be a little difficult but that's a really good tip thank you!!
ya f,$#@ the hater gader ader sum bitchs, and 1/2 the country if not more are not Americans. pimp
Real Talk, You earned My Subscription. Keep Up The Good Work ,Bro!
Thank you! Working on Some things... more to come 🤘🤘
you didn't need to disengage at all, these knives are never under tension until your thumb is pushing the switch
It's a safety advisory, in hindsight perhaps not.. but when digging into something new best to disengage.
Question, I just ordered one of those autofakes. Can’t seem to find any disassembly videos on it. Have you ever taken one apart? If so, any speed bumps to watch for? You should do a video on it, as you just might be the first!
Sub👍🏻
I’m kind of a clone guy simply because I always change edge profiles, (I usually treat EDC knives as “martial” blades as opposed to hard use tools) so my pocket knives always have serious “scalpel edge”. (I’ve even gone to a zero grind every now and again, just because I really love zero grind) I would hesitate to go after a high dollar blade with a belt grinder, even though I’m sure that I’ll end up pulling the trigger on a Microtech eventually, if for no other reason to see what 10-12 times the price actually gets me.😅 ( I have noticed the couple fakes I have don’t hold an edge for beans though) SIDE NOTE; As I make knives, (fixed blade only) I’m thinking of taking this new Ultrafake I just got and making a good blade for it, just to see if I can.😊
I don’t know about anyone else, I seem to always reprofile the edge on every knife I own. (I’m the guy who sharpens xacto blades, as they aren’t sharp, and just might be why I don’t own a real microtech )
Same here, but I re -edge and sharpen my microtech... my leather strop wheel is no joke on razor blades.. thanks for commenting!
@@levvy001 here’s what I’ve discovered about my double edged blades. The little spring loaded lock tab drags the blade and dulls it. Have you had any of this?
@@Daddy53751 yes, most of them have a hook like piece of metal on each end of the spring. Pretty simple design.
@@Daddy53751 sorry, just read again. Does not dull mine, definitely have good clearance inside. Maybe a good re edging will knock back a little bit of metal and clear it better.
@@levvy001 had to do it with the “Dirac” and the “Troodon” both. I think I’ll stay away from the double edged in the future.
what I don't get is how expensive the real thing is compared to a counterfeit or clone that's nearly identical. sure, the level of quality and materials might not be the same but the way it functions pretty much is. I bought an ultratech clone (not a counterfeit) from amazon for $60, took it apart to look at the insides and compared it to videos of someone taking apart the real thing and they're like 99% identical. the finish is not the same, but the shape of the internal parts and exterior are pretty much spot on. of course not all clones or counterfeits are made equally, I got an infidel counterfeit that had different internals and was crap, but in the case of my ultratech clone it was pretty much a well made super cheap version of the real deal. the fact that there are well made knock offs out there makes me think that paying $300 or more for the real thing is kind of a scam. it's like you're paying more for the name brand than the actual functionality.
Yeah the mechanics rarely deviate from the patents... but they may actually share rhe same internals.. in order to be made in usa only a certain percentage of the parts have ro be actually made in america ..
The Chinese have gotten really good at cloning Microtech in particular. The materials on these $50 clones really are crap though. One UA-camr got his Halo VI clone's blade tested and it ended up being SS410 butter knife steel. Even when it's something ok like D2 tool steel, the heat treat is always crap. Of course, not all clones are made equal. Companies like Vespa make real 154CM or even M390 steel blade versions and the quality might even be better than on the real Microtechs. In particular, they use 7075 T6 aluminum for the handle, while Microtechs are 6061. Those clones cost a lot more though. But yeah, most Microtech knives are overpriced, even when you do take R&D and US manufacturing cost into account, and most of their knives are basically luxury mall ninja accessories. BTW, I have an Infidel clone with Microtech internals, so it actually works and looks better than the real thing - fires a lot harder, doesn't have the cheap looking button channels and has screws only on one side. Benchmade Infidel is a real scam - $500 for an ugly, sloppy action, outdated OTF design with a frigging D2 (budget steel) blade!
So i put everything back the way u did ( i thought) but it still doesnt fire..what am i doing wrong? Can i send u pics or even better a short vid?
I made a short but idk if it loaded under these comments or not. Sorry not too tech savvy. I usually only watch vids and thats not even very often. Any help is appreciated
Make sure you incremently tighten the screws a little at a time in a star pattern middle of handle across and work your way out . Also are sure spring is intact
The bags that come with the Benchmade the pull string bags on the Clones 6:54
I bet both cut open Amazon boxes and your mail. I have clones and real brands and I could care less. I'm not a steel snob
Both do cut envelopes and boxes, but my line of work you do need a better steel... each steel and knife has a job.
@@levvy001 that's true
There’s always a bunch of clowning about those ever present pouches, But I find they make great pistol magazine pouches, light, multi tool, ect.
They do make neat little pouches for lots of things... pistol magazine is a good idea thanks!!
This is March, 2024 and I just ordered 5 knives from Wish. Haven’t gotten the order yet, I’m waiting but everything about them seems great. We’ll see how they look when I get them.
Let us know!
I have yet to buy a high dollar OTF, but in my book the DA OTF is just about the most handy pocket knife to have and carry, and I’ll tell you why. The ability to get it out your pocket, opened, used, closed and back in your pocket one handed, SAFELY (without gymnastics) is awesome. (Just picture yourself on top of a ladder with one hand free) So far, I like the clones as I don’t feel bad beating them up, but it IS tiresome having to constantly sharpen them up, so I just might get out there and try an Ultratech just for the steel.
You won't regret it brother, honestly I now have a benchmade shootout and couldn't be happier... beat it up and don't feel bad. Plus it holds an edge very well. Crew wear is no joke.
@@levvy001I’m thinking about making a good blade for this ultrafake. As retirement hobbies, making knives, guitars and leather holsters, are awesome. (and save me thousands) I’m figuring, as long as the specs are perfect I should be able to replace an OTF blade with one of my own making. I have a nice chunk of Damascus sitting around, and some 1095 as well.
Where is the Love Live Laugh canvas?

Nice!
I thank you for these videos bro, you keep it 💯
It has nothing to do with the price making it a good knife. It's about using a knife that is Benchmades intellectual property and is a USA product, so if you use that fake, you are saying in a way screw you to the manufacturers of our country. I'm not even going to mention the mechanical make up of that fake is all garbage, especially the blade steel which is some type of 440. Buy once, cry once.
Lol "one of the little chinese kids" lol "sell it as a blem." USA!
