I've been modeling in Blender since about 2015 but more recently in the past couple of years. I've been making games and assets in Unity since 2011 and I'm currently working on a multiplayer RTS game that I'll be happy to announce later this year.
I use a Canon Lumix GH5 camera to record my videos with the Olympus 17mm F1.2 lens as well as the Laowa F2.0 7.5mm compact dreamer lens. Sometimes I also use a GoPro Hero 8, a Insta360 One X and a Sony rx100 mark vii. For audio I use a Rode NTG shotgun microphone connected to a RME Fireface UFX II sound card.

Jokes apart, I know exactly what you mean. It's amazing how fast you can achieve things under the right amount of stress and time pressure.
Really good video. it is really good to see you not just nailing it, but how you can mess up and fix it, the extra vertexes on the butt/tail was an issue i remember having when i made a small dragon. a few years ago. So thanks for showing how to fix those duplicates.

I have never seen that shadow issue before in blender and i've been using blender for 10 years... But well, i also don't do low poly stuff... But my recommendation to solve the issue is to duplicate the object and on the duplicated object you can delete geometry until the issue disapear, Delete small parts at a time so when you delete the issue go back one step using ctrl + z and you will know kinda where the issue is then look closer at that part. Try whatever you can like merge by distance and flip normals and everything. That usually helps me solving rare issues that sometimes happens

I would recommend after completing this series you should make step by step unity tutorial in which you explain all the functions we have in unity that might be a great start as there are lots of developers like me who still don't know lots of features available in unity. I wanna know what you and other's think about this idea 🙂

I really wanted to see you rig this. I tried rigging a dog once. Turned out ok, but quadrupeds are so much more difficult than bipeds for me.

How do you get your poly edges to have that highlighting/glow effect. It looks so cool. Does it transition over to Unity?
just viewport cavity enabled. if you bake a cavity map and blend it with your base color with overlay mode, you have the same effect in a texture you can export.
