Hello David, this video reminds me of the lion I did some very long time a go, if you remember, I asked for your help, as the image was fantastically done by someone but he would not tell me how he did it!! at the end I managed to do even better than what was done in that image. I will never forge your help.I like this video too! Thank you.
Hello Harry, good to hear from you. Yes I remember the image, you're right it was a very long time ago . Where have the years gone 😂 Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video, cheers David
BUGGA; subscribed and bookmarked so I can see more screen time coming up now I have found your channel --- you actually teach something a bit different from the norm. Question if I may: I use Affinity Photo 🥳and 'my' old Lr5 🥳to edit my own personal (mostly nature) photos . I do find Affinity is a little lacking in a few areas ; one being selections and some filters. I have used PSE12 years ago and would appreciate your thoughts to whether I would gain much by using the latest PSE?? . I'm at a stage of being born too long ago to need/want another program to learn/use without good reason ---- been doing this camera stuff for over 50years and spent (wasted) so many $$$$ Any ideas/thoughts from you, and your channel audience would be greatly appreciate so I don't waste time with another trial .
Thanks very much for subscribing and bookmarking my channel, much appreciated👍 Like you, I came from PSE12 but since using Affinity Photo I have not used it. Yes, there are one or two areas and filters I have missed gradients is one that springs to mind but I've also enjoyed finding ways around it in Affinity. As for selections, have you seen ua-cam.com/video/aVBK7c4yk78/v-deo.html This may help, please let me know how you get on? I know that it's very easy to waste both time and money on programmes and plugins, but my own personal thought is to get to know one programme well. Yes, plugins like Nik are excellent and can help you. Hope this helps. David
Terrific video, thank you. I have a load of pictures I took of macaques at a temple near where I live. I will have a go with some of those today. What brushes would you use for say a furless human face? Maybe another video with a less hirsute subject would be great.
Happy to hear that you enjoyed the video EYExplore Thailand. To be honest from memory I think I used the same brushes with the picture of the old man on the banner. The important part is to work with the direction of skin, lines and wrinkles. I might well do a video with a human face in the near future😊. Cheers David
Great, however very time consuming. In GIMP you have certain tools to convert a JPG into an oil painting. Would there be something similar in Affinity?
No there's nothing similar in Affinity @reinhardgrossmann8054 but it can also be very rewarding painting it yourself as opposed to the software doing it for you :) Cheers David
Your ability to explain each step makes you stand head and shoulders above others. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your very kind comment @martinr5362 can I also say much appreciated. Cheers David
