Great video about the thresholds tool. I've not ever used that one. Cool effect. Thanks again, and as Greg below noted, it's always a good week when you bring out another tutorial for us.
I don't know how you come up with these tricks. Very Clever. I am just coming to the end of courses 101 - 301 which has been a great help. I can recommend to anyone who wants to learn more.
when I hit command J to duplicate the layer, it doesn't isolate the selection I've made with the brush...it just duplicates the entire thing. Anyone know why this is happening?
You probably need to rasterize your layer. Before making your selection, right click on the name of your layer from inside the Layer's Panel, and then scroll down to "Rasterize". Affinity usually rasterizes photos for you, but sometime it can be a little quirky and not do it.
Great video and tutorial, thank you. When you painted back the areas inside the mask, did the brush end up aliasing your image and changing it from black/white? I'm struggling with this right now.
For Windows users ... I saw the open and closed brackets don't work on differente US layout keyboard. TO make it work: hold down CTRL+ALT and just move the mouse horizontally.
Love the videos! Super helpful after switching from PS, thank you. I want to make layered stencils like I did before on PS but I can’t figure it out and I hope you can help! Please!
