Thank you for this! A good clear explanation. You are easy and soothing to listen to, unlike some instructors who "blast" you, with their voice and 'hyper" manner. New subbie!
Awesome video. Very clear and detailed. You explain everything that is being done and you elaborate on why it's being done. Only criticism I have is, no offense, you're tone is too monotone and bringing some excitement to the mix would definitely help. Just my opinion. I just thought it would help.
@@slicedpage I've lived in 5 states north and south, east and west, and it's the same so I think the blanket statement pretty much qualifies. You only have to close your eyes and open your ears to understand. In your case, you may first need to remove the vacuum between your ears.
@@wajang1000 hummm there is that ego again. Your need is greater than mine so you can have the last word. I am off to bed. And I think I know why you moved so many times.
Good question. What is "the Black sound" from a linguistics standpoint? Because if you think about it, some Black people don't sound like that much or at all. On the other hand, you can tell if someone is black whether they're from NY or NC. *shrugs*
@@slicedpage There are two answers for that - (a) turn left, walk north and don't stop until you reach the south pole; or (b) ask your mother how many steps she took to make you. My guess is that it wasn't too many.
@@wajang1000 So you refuse the second option of shutting up when the first would have been the correct thing to do. Then you bring my dead Mother into the conversation. Not that her passing means anything to you I am just disappointed that your ego forces you to use her in such a way. So I ask again to explain your first comment or shut up.

Why do black Americans have such distinctive accents regardless which state they are from?
That is a blanket statement. It is like me saying all racists are intellectually challenged. Oh, hang on, wait a minute, that is actually true.
