EZVIZ LC1C Review - Unboxing, Features, Setup, Installation, Settings, Video & Audio Quality

- Today, we are going to check and test out the EZVIZ LC1C... a Floodlight WiFi Camera. Thank you EZVIZ for sending me this camera to be reviewed. We will check out its features, do the unboxing, set it up and do the installation. We will then run some tests and see if this Floodlight cam from EZVIZ is a better option than the Ring's Floodlight or Eufy's Floodlight Camera.
This WiFi camera records in 1080p full HD but you will see later on that its video quality is pretty good for a 1080p camera. It's floodlight is 2000 lumens bright and has a 3000K color temperature. Check out the video for a couple of issues I found on their motion detection.

Spent 3 days researching $100 to $150 security cameras wifi battery operated even bought one returned it next day and this morning watched your vid. Very helpful just ordered this one from b buy lol wife is a sceptic and even after her seeing 1/2 your vid she said ok order it and she never agrees with anything I think is a good idea you married guys will get it lol . Much love and appreciation from North Vancouver Canada, had car broken into 3 days ago thats what started all this
One of the biggest advantages of the Ezviz is the constant recording to SD card which you don’t get with the Ring.
Because Ring doesn't use an SD card. If I'm not mistaken (LifeHackster can confirm or debunk) most cameras with an SD card option will have continuous recording function.
WS P Yes - I know Rung doesn’t have SD card. That why Ezviz has an advantage.
True.. you can record 24/7 on the micro SD card..
Agree
Already have the C3X, and wanted to buy the lc1c, but not after this review... Please Ezviz fix those bugs.
Again thank you Sir for this review
Thank You...
Your lawn looks amazing 🤩
Please, review the EZVIZ C3A (wire free - battery powered cameras). Compare it to the Blink XT2 cameras.
Just a suggestion.
Great video man. As usual 👍🏻
Got that it works great for a baby camera
I have to check it out...thanks.
The hook is from your ring flood light! Good review as usual. Will stick with my ring and wait for new updates with 4k, 24/7 recordings ability from ring!
Sorry.. not from Ring's floodlight.. next time.. thanks..
Can the EZVIZ LC1C floodlight camera be ceiling-mounted? If so, would the range of view be affected? Thank you for your very informative reviews. I especially appreciate that you don’t draw the video out longer than it needs to be like some other reviewers.
Again, audio & video qualities, even at night of this EZVIZ are excellent.
Will you be reviewing IP security cams utilizing NVRs & 24/7 video recording in the near future?
Thank you.
I agree.. pretty good video and audio quality...I might on the NVR.. I need to upgrade my Swanns..
Excellent review 👍 So... Eufy still wins overall?
Good review. I installed the backing plate using two longer sheet rock screws and gently tightened the two white nuts. They are not very deep and I didn’t want to strip the threads. A longer screw and nut would give me more confidence that the unit will stay tightened.
It would be a plus if there was a way to set how long the lights stayed on after they are activated. I have four other EZVIZ cameras and they work very well. I used long zip ties to hang the unit for wiring
the hook is from the Eufy Floodlight Cam.
Yes, it is but a bit late... next time.
very good review. Can the EZVIZ LC1C floodlight camera be ceiling-mounted .? thank you
great cctv cam
Found wyze cam through your videos thank you!
That's awesome! Thank You.
The hook is from a hot air balloon gondola...just go ahead and donate my prize. Lol.
Almost... lol.. :)
The light keeps activated because you have active the light on alarm notifications, i think you need to turn them off both on alarm notifications and light settings, so then you will record black and white footage at night. But one thing I don't understand is why companies don't use dual color light, for me is a no buy that cam because of warm white light,I like only the cool light.
Yes.. I did.. I needed to turn it off on the notifications and on the light settings... EZVIZ just need to clean up the settings.. the lights should only work with the PIR sensor and not their pixel based detection.
Another fantastic review 👏👏👏
One question that i have is if you had to choose between the Ring Floodlight Camera or the EVIZ LC1C camera which would you choose?
P.S Keep up the superb work on the videos 👍
If possible could you please review the kittyhok CG1. Keep up the good work!
I'll check it out.. thanks.
Thanks for testing it. Just how I would test but what is that annoying beep?
Hi there. I was wondering if you can do a video on which indoor camera has the best night vision through a bedroom window. Thanks!!
I'm doing some testing on a made for through the window setup camera..I'll be posting it soon..
LifeHackster your the best 💪
Like the one you tested before, I find it motion detection to be very quick base on the charm it emit. picture quality is also great like the other model from this company you tested recently. it seem to have a bug never the less when you attempt to do the motion alert distance.
Yes.. video quality are good with the EZVIZ brand.
I agree it has good video quality and audio..
I did notice your Wi-Fi signal strength to the flashlight was only showing 1 bar in the app, which is very weak and could be why you were not getting the 25fps and of course you internet speed can affect that too and if your using a access point/Wi-Fi extender and if I remember your internet speed isn’t that great..
Love your videos
Thank You. I appreciate it.
Important Intallation notes. Thanks !
Can you do a review of Home Zone Triple head flood light camera?
does this just install on a typical 2 wire 120/110V circuit? or is it extra low voltage i.e 24V? Also you can trim down the acorn nut screws to tighten the acorns more securely
I have the BC1 kit, one base station and 2 cameras, I'm experiencing the same problem, I'm not getting the notification all the time. I guess I can tweak the detection range in a more systematic way, as currently I just use whatever I think might be good enough. The notification service is definitely not the best, but good enough. I may get this floodlight due to the fact that I have other EZVIZ cameras installed, so they can all be managed in one App.
I wanna replace an outdoor lamp with this unit. What happens with the lamp, if there is no wifi (e.g. if I turn it off at night or else)? Can I use the the electricity-switch to turn the lamp on and off??? Or do I stand in the dark if the wifi is down?
Do you known if they fixed the issues yet?
Do you have the link for the exterior lights you have on your storage shed?

How does this compare to the LC1 beside price?
I’ve got ezviz cameras inside and outside my house but would love it if they made a battery video doorbell too so it would go with the rest of the cameras I’ve got but they only do wired one which has had a lot of bad reviews.
They have the DB1... they will be releasing a newer version of it soon...but still going to be wired.
the s hook is from the Eufy floodlight cam package
Hey lifehackster, your content helped me build my home security system!! I have a question, are you able to continuously stream live footage through your google hub or amazon echo? Will it overheat the floodlight cam?
@A I Can you potentially connect ring via poe adapter and to a NVR system to have it constantly showing?
I haven't tested how long but I'm pretty sure it will time out.. if you want to constantly stream/live view... you will be better off with a PoE NVR system.
For constant recording, are the only two options 1) paying for the subscription, or 2) using an SD card.
I was told that if the camera is connected to wifi, I would not need the subscription or SD card.
I think that hook is from the ring floodlight cam.
Sorry not from Ring..
Is it possible to add this flood light camera to a NVR?
Also I dont know if the UK/European version is different (other than the voltage) but we get a full tool kit included in the box and it is 2.4ghz and 5ghz for wifi. They are packed with 2.4ghz only leaflets but these where wrong
How's the intercom quality?
so which is better this one or the eufy? (besides the flush mounting problem)
I live in Dallas Texas I would like to know what will be a good Wi-Fi
Ill stick with the Eufy.
Ring isn't an option for me, as privacy is an issue for me. Thanks for the video.
where'd you put your Ring solar pathlight when you were filming?
It is on the other side/ back side of the fence..
When is it coming to Canada ?
I'm not sure... Hopefully, soon.
What type of wire you used for the power?
I like ezviz. Thanks for rev
Thank You.
Tvm! Does it have Ethernet connection?
Could the application be set on more than one phone?
Yes, you can.
Can my wife and I download the app and watch it in both phones thanks
Can you plz make more videos on spotlight
I will... I am planning to compare the 3 latest spotlight cams.. Argus 3, Eufy Cam 2 C and Arlo Essential..
Argus 3 for me few more weeks cant wait
Cool.. I'll be comparing the Argus 3 soon with other spotlight cams...
Russian Spy you have no idea how can it look worse than the 2 fool
can we will watch videos with other wifi connections in cell phone
Is EZVIZ a Chinese company like Eufy is? I worry about how data is accessed by non-US companies.
Yes, it's owned by Hikvision.
It's either made in China or managed in the Ukraine (Ring)pick your poison
Yes.. EZVIZ is a Chinese company..
I was just wondering if I'm going to put a sd card the ezvis lc1c will constantly record if I want it to and does it rewrite over when the card is full ??
nice video thanks
Distance from the wifi router?
I wish that manufacturers would stop quoting the diagonal angle as the field of view. It's just not right.
I've made the same observation.
You lose sleep over this huh? Hahaha
@@batmansdad471 not only sleep, but a lot of horizontal... area in the security field of view.
Thank you.
I’ve got two ezviz ezguard cameras 1080p they get triggered by flies or rain so beware you will get a lot of notifications with ezviz cameras but hopefully with the new AI ones it will be better.
Which hard-wired wifi security camera is the best?
Hello, If Alexa is on my cell (Android) why does my galaxy say "camera is not supported on this device"?
I like ring more because they have good Video HD and Fast Motion Notifications
True..except for the video.. I think the LC1C has better video quality.. I'll be comparing these 2 floodlights soon..
Is it good for winter Canadian weather ? -35 c
Most wired, constantly on cameras can tolerate colder weather but on EZVIZ's website the operating temp for this camera is -30 to 50°C.
The one from Ring?
24/7 recording?
I made the mistake of buying a Eufy floodlight camera. Now every single time a squirrel farts or snowflake falls it sets it off. We don't even use it anymore, human detection is the only way to go!
Lights are flashing when activated. What causes this ?
This one or c3x ?
does it work with smart life?
does it work with smart life?
Does this camra have human detection?
Can anyone tell me if this the human detection is free or do I have to pay extra for like wyze and others thanks 🙏 in advance
Free.
I'm going to guess the s hook came from a shower curtain set.
Sorry.. not from a shower curtain..
I’m guessing it’s the Maximus floodlight
Sorry.. not the Maximus..
Problem is once the leds die its useless. Rather have normal bulbs which I can switch out.
I am pretty sure the LEDs will outlast the camera..
Is it the ring floodlight camera?
Sorry not the Ring..
Siasky s hook on Amazon
Sorry.. not Siasky..
Eufy floodlight
Yes.. but a bit late..next time...
eufy Security Floodlight Camera
Yes.. it is but a bit late..
I think highlighting the no tool issue is a non-issue. More junk items to throw away.
True.. but I'm comparing this to other brands...plus if you don't have the tools..like the S hook, there are no instructions to hang the camera...the user experience on the installation is going to be a poor one...
I'll stick with my Ring Floodlight.
:)
Actually, this cam doesn't do thiis one thing I hate that ring does. It starts all videos in low quality for abot a few seconds. Local storage is a plus. Hopefully the bugs are fixed.
I’m guessing ring
Floodlight cam
Sorry... not the Ring..
Eufy?

Yes.. you got it.. Congratulations! Please contact me @ lifehackster.com/contact/ with your email address and I will reply to you with a code that you need to reply on this comment and I will send you your GC. Thank You.

Got it... GC on your way..
@@LifeHackster Thank you so much🤙🏼
Nope, Ring all the way
:)
Any outdoor cameras that don't have human detection are junk!
Ring flood light
Sorry.. not from Ring..
Not everything comes with tools man. Stop complaining
Well ring floodlight does...
@@LifeHackster well congratulations. Fortunately I don’t base my buying decisions on what kind of garbage is included with it.
@@ww-town7973 garbage? It is a tool for installing the product...duh!..not everyone has tools like you ;)
