I love it,got all my answers from 1 video, that has never happen before.Thank you
Eufy: I’m the best home security camera!
Ezviz: hold my beer
This must be the best review ever ! Thank you very much
Impressive night abilities! Some of those on a POE system would be nice. Even adding to an existing system wouldn’t be bad. 4K in that would be a new standard for the best system.
I agree... I suggested to them..PoE same dual lens, 4K, AI, and app..running on wired NVR..
Best review EVER, to the point, no BS, and very informative and VERY COMPREHENSIVE testing, thanks. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for all your objective camera reviews. I've looked at maybe 50 different cameras trying to find one with all the features I need and after watching this video, I believe I have found it.
Nice review! Its a bit odd they didn't put a light button on the live view for the C3X? Just siren, speak, photo and record buttons...
you are the best reviewer of youtube, thanks for the info of this camera
I appreciate that!
If only Reolink had the detection range like this cam. I am really impressed with this unit. And again thank for making the best cam reviews out there.
I know..but they will be limited to around 30 feet because of the PIR sensor.... (for their WiFi cameras)
My reolink lumus can detect stuff super far away because it has pixel detection.
Ace - it is PIR..unless it uses both..it has the half dome sensor in the front..
@@LifeHackster yes it uses both sometime it will detect my neighbor walking out or her door across the street. I had to set up a zone to block the area. I remember when you made the video about it, yours was not working at the time but it has been fixed. The only issue I'm having with Reolink is it's not getting notifications unless I unlock my phone.
Thanks for probably the best review I have ever watched.
Thank you for your review. Very good, your answered all my questions I had before buying this model. Keep up the good work.
My pleasure!
Dude, I’m looking for a wireless cam like this and I have to say, WOW, this is a seriously well thought out feature test.. awesome job!! Thank you
Great job, real testing, all very clear, thanks you so much !
Great review I can always trust. This seems to be the camera I'm looking for..definitely getting this product
Thank You.
We love all of our blink cameras!
Love that intro music!
Came across your review and I would say you can do it way better by editing what people need to see first. A hook I would say, introduction the video quality of the camera first before giving all the spec. I have to skip all the unboxing first before getting to see what the camera can do for me! Most people might be turned off because of the spec and skip the video. Btw, move that stupid light beside you, I have no idea why so many bloggers are doing this, it is painful to watch the light as the composition drawing the eyes toward the light. Watch the video and see for yourself, just it looks cool doesn’t mean it works for the audiences. If you like to keep the light, have dimmer switch to lower the power that doesn’t hurt the eyes! Thank you for the review bro!
Great review. Good camera with perfect picture for day record and night especially, 25fps makes it more crisp. For those who worry about privacy the problem will be producer - HIKVision - China state owned company. I hope one day Ring will be able make same video quality for its products.
Thanks..
You should check out the option of adding time stamps within the video player timeline. Very convenient. Great video as always
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks very much. Nobody does it better!
Thank You. I appreciate it.
Thank you so much for all of your reviews! I just bought and installed 2 Victure cameras and the motion detection is horrible. All they do is alert me to cars going past my house and insects at night, even on the lowest sensitivity settings. They are so busy recording cars, birds, etc. that they totally miss people coming up to the house, so I will be uninstalling and sending these back. I have been searching for a different camera that I can lower the sensitivity or adjust zones to not record background motion, and only want alerts for people by the front door or in the driveway. Since you have had this camera for around a month now, are you still happy with it? Do you think the zone and human detection features would fit my needs for an outdoor wired camera to only detect people by the house and not background motion in the distance? If you have any better camera suggestions for me, please let me know. Thanks again for all of your hard work putting these reviews together!
Yes..the C3X has been working pretty good.
Thank you for the review I have just ordered one.
Excellent , I trusted your reviews more than 3 years back. Thank you.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Great video thanks! Having trouble recording on SD card any videos would help/ thanks again
Great job with the video. It was very helpful and I appreciated the testing you demonstrated.
I’m impressed. Sure beats my Wyze set up. You forgot to mention the price.
It is $150 .. thanks.
Another great video! Any plans to review the AZVIZ C3X 2K+ camera?
Another great review - thanks. Do you know if this allows 24/7 recording to SD card?
He said it does but didn't have it checked off in the video. It should record 24/7 to the SD in which case if it does I'll jump on this. . If he could do a followup video that would be awesome
Yes, there is an option on the app...
You sound enthusiastic about it..Latency is excellent compared to others..Thanks..Great Review !!
Yes.. this is a pretty good camera..you will be seeing more updates and comparison videos in my future videos...
Thanks for the review I will be upgrading from the ezviz ctq3w due to numerous false alerts and no detections of motion.
Excellent video. Great camera but to plug it in is a deal breaker.
Yes.. it needs to be plugged in..
@@LifeHackster You can just get a PoE splitter to split data and 12v power from your passive PoE switch or injector. Works very well on the C3X units I just picked up.
That being said, how did you get the spotlight to stay on instead of flashing? When enabled, spotlight will only flash on and off, not stay on like in your video. Thanks.
If you had to choose, for yourself, the swann, ezviz or arlo, which one would you go for? Great and informative video, keep up the good work mate
EZVIZ
Good Video I wish they were made with closed captioning
I turned it On..
Very good video and informative. Thanks
Thank you.
Excellent video. I am debating whether to buy this one, but at you say, 2k or 4k would be nicer. Since this video is two years old, I am guessing they must be bringing out a 2k version soon?. I already have 2 Exviz camera inside my house and love their simplicity and all at the low cost I paid.
One thing missing from your reviews is whether the people recognition features ignore animal based motion. I have squirrels and crows triggering my ring flood light cam every day.
I can tell you that it is 100% accurate in person detection... I don't have pets but I do know I have a possum that comes in my backyard once in a while and this camera hasn't picked it up.. With Ring, you can use its person detection to minimize other motion.
@@LifeHackster thanks, after I made my comment I did some research and found the Person Detection option for Ring. I haven't tested it out because I have a long driveway and I need vehicles and people detection. It appears Ring doesn't provide this feature. The C3X looks like a good potential replacement for my Ring Flood.
For the $$$$ it sounds like a great security cam!
It is pretty good... I wish it is PoE..
Great review. I have just ordered three for my home. I already have the indoor Eziviz C1 and although it is only 720p, the picture quality is good. I looked at Ring and Google cameras, but failings on both of those. Both require a subscription to record, these Ezviz record locally and I can download from the card and reformat in the cam. Looked at the Arlo 4K, battery life is abysmal! (Ring are no better!) If these are only half as good as the reviews I have read, they will more than fit the bill.
love the camera, do you still need the iclould with the sd card.
No, you don't need to be subscribed to the cloud if you have a micro SD card installed.
Great review! Thanks!
Does it produce false alarms in human mode?
Haven’t had any false alarms yet..
Wow, this is impressive. It would be nice if it could also work with a solar panel. Thanks as always for a great test.
Thank You... battery version would be nice..
You didn't show how to mount it outside. Did I miss it?
Still very informative.
Thanks!!!
Thanks man for the most complete review of this camera. It helped me a lot to decide on buying this specific model as my new cctv camera.
Just one question.
How did you configured it to beep (sound) x1 when human is detected and continuously illuminate without flashing? I would like to set up as you.
running man test !!! fantastic !! :-)
Great video! Have you tried mounting sideways (with lenses vertically aligned) and checked if it the human detection AI features still works?
Really appreciate all these reviews. You've helped me shape my video security choices a lot. Thanks!
Glad to help!
Hey Vince, great video, but I think I am partial to RING cameras based upon your previous reviews. Stay safe!
You too..thanks..
This is a great review of this camera. The best I have seen. Very informative and it answered all of my questions. LiveHackster, you have a gift when it comes to reviewing and explaining in a clear and concise manner tech items like this. Based on this review I have found the camera that will satisfy my needs in a security camera to monitor my driveway. Thank You!!!
really great video .. sir... what is in your experience the best cloud camera on the market these days..??
This camera is a game changer!
Is there anything on the market to challenge this unit?
Thank you for the review!
Excellent channel, thank you! Quiz: is it the Reolink Lumus?
Very wonderful, I just find a next wi-fi camera that I like and will get one or two when the time is right. I like the customization of the motion detection zone, the quick detection of motion indicated by it beep and flashing light, I like the picture quality for night and day. The only two things I do not like are the fact that it has an Ethernet port but still you have to still connect to the power adapter as you stated in your test. And second since it has a Ethernet port, they should have made it dual mode to work on Poe to an NVR direcly and by Wi-fi that way you have to option how you want to connect.
I know, they should have added PoE on it...they have everything right though on the camera...if they can only have a PoE and in 4K...
KISS for reliability. POE just adds addition layers of protocols and hardware (i.e something else to go wrong). As long as you have to run a line to the camera to get power to it then keep it simple and reliable with 12 Volt DC (my worthless 2 cents :-)
Very informative, as all your reviews. Thanks! It looks like the field angle is too short compared to other cameras you have reviewed though. The price is just right for me. Would you think (considering the short field angle) that this is the best camera for this price range (80-90 USD)? Thanks!
Yes, it is a pretty good camera. Thanks.
Thank you once more for your nice review. Very interesting. Keep going.
Thank You. I appreciate it.
I got C3Wpro. Very nice 4MP
My guess Blink xt2? I really like this camera the only downside is I don't like how you cant view the recording right away.
Great review. Thanks. Can you please tell me what happens when the card is full ? Thanks in advance
Hi.. can you please review TP Link Tapo C310. Thanks! 🌹
A couple of years ago we had a broken trail cam that had blackout leds so I was curious as when I took the camera apart all it had was tint similar to thick window tint covering the infrared leds. I thought they worked at a different light spectrum or something. I wonder if it’s that simple. Great Channel and information.
I wish Reolink had the same AI for motion detection. I get tons of false alerts from their pixel based motion detection, no matter what the settings. Other than that their POE cameras are great quality.
I fully support the wish for a POE EZVIZ cam though. A motion detection system that is reliable is very important when you want to use it as a real security cam.
I know Reolink is working on their AI and it will be released soon... but as far as I know, it will be on their PoE cameras and I'm not sure it will trickle down to their WiFi cameras.. Seems like EZVIZ has the motion detection covered.. I still haven't had any false notifications and 100% human detection everytime..
@@LifeHackster any ideas which cameras will be supported for the AI? The 400 series? I'm looking at picking up some eufy or reolink cameras, and still deciding. AI would be a deciding factor for the reolink
@@LifeHackster wow that would be truly awesome news. I had already contacted them a couple of weeks back with my issues and they forwarded it to their dev team but they didn't tell me they were already working on it. They should be though considering most of the competition is doing the same. But then again their cameras are very cheap compared to some of those with AI.
If they can nail the motion detection they will have the best price/quality for sure. I paid 90€ for a package of two POE 5MP cameras and the quality is amazing!
I just heard from Reolink that the AI requires new hardware and therefor will only come to their new POE cams. The current POE cams like the RLC-410 5MP I just bought will not support it :(. That's a real disappointment to be honest.
pretty cool review man!! thanks
Are you able to leave spotlight constantly on?
Hi, i think that thw snapshot for the contest its from the Toucan Wireless Outdoor Camera. Cheers
Audio & video are impressive. Hope this comes out in a PoE version. Thanks for the upload.
Thank you.
can do a review ASAP of DAHUA HDW3849H-AS-PV, this is 8mp give full color video in night , you looks to honest reviews and many people really need your opinion asap.
please do consider.
I've watched must of your videos and I still can't decide which camera to buy. In your opinion what is the best one? Another question, why no Nest Cam review?
Excellent review thank you.
Just bought C3X and I am in love with it. I have one question though, In the alarm notification, what is the difference between Motion Detection Area and Draw Detection Area?
Nice review, thanks.
Thanks.
Great cam! I have the indoor one and looking for outdoors. But the thing is I live in Minnesota where we get a lot of snow and -50 on winter time. I wonder if this camera would still work....
@LifeHackster - excellent review! I read some user reviews on Amazon complaining about only being able to watch live for 5 seconds. Is that true? And, is that really an issue? I don't have a camera yet, so I don't know what is normal for most WiFi cameras. Thanks!
Unless something changed since I used it.. no, issues..you can live view as long as you want.
@@LifeHackster Thanks for the quick response. I think the 5 seconds issue they mentioned is when viewing when you are not connected to the same wifi that the camera is on. So if you are not home, and trying to watch live from somewhere else.
Thanks my friend your the best
Great review! 🙏🏻
The spotlight support works against the camera at points. Better under IR.
Thanks Friend, great job
You can use PoE splitter to power it over 1 cable
Good review my dude :) helping me make some informed decisions
You're videos have been such big help. Would you recommend this or the reolink 4k poe cameras? Thanks
Reolink 4k has better video quality.
It's a pity that it looks like they changed the tone sound ("Soft" alarm) to a voice that says "secure area - please leave immediately".
I looked forward to the tone notifying me that somebody is waiting at my gate - without chasing them away!
Any way to get it back?
@LifeHackster
Thank you for this review. I know this product has been out for very long now but I want to ask. Is there a cooldown for the notifications when motion/person is detected?
well, the problem that I see is the IRleds that turn on at night (red color) and make the camera easily detectable, those of EZVIZ still do not improve this aspect, which I see as essential.
Another aspect is their AI, I don't know, difference between car and person or animal, for example, when they see a car it sends you a "it has detected a car" message.
That for example does the SimCam and that is AI.
I would have preferred to have added a PIR semsor as it would not give many false alarms.
and the format would have been better a Dome type or a PTZ Dome
Great review!!!
Hey! Great vid as always. Just curious, which cameras would you recommend for the easiest/best DIY setup? I'm currently looking at Argus 2's with solar panels, but I'd love to know if you had any other suggestions.
Hi, nice review, can you please let me know how i can extend the power cable? The cable that comes in the box is very short.
Se ve muy buena cámara!! 👍
Still shot quiz: eufy cam 2c is my guess
Sorry not Eufy
LifeHackster luv your chnl....your comprehensive reviews are awesome, keep up the good work!!!
Hey, as long as i got you, the ezviz c3... did you say it can record locally 24/7? Loop recording to the sd card only? Cuz if so, thats awesome like a 1 camera nvr setup.
Hi,is the human motion detection the same at night..my camera detects me at about 15 meters, beyond that the motion detection falls away..can move around and even move in front of a light and the camera does not detect me,camera is up to date..👍
Great review! But compared to the C3W Pro, which one would you recommend in terms of picture quality especially at night and fluidity of motion? Which one has less false alarm?
Does it support HomeKit? whether it is out of the box or via custom integration
Not out of the box... Im not sure about custom integration yet...
Quick question: what does the "s" symbol on the video footage, next to the date/time, mean? In other videos there's sometimes a "w" there??
summertime and wintertime
Hi, i like ur videos and it helped me allot choosing a camera. I got the ezviz c3x, but it detects my pets. Is there anyway around it?
Which has better quality and fast notification alert? This one or the Nest IQ outdoor cam which has 2K quality
Thanks, very informative. Can it record in colour at night without any lights, indicators, or IR lamps on at all? (Just some ambient light from more distant street lamps or moon light.)
Hi Dude,
Thanks for the in-depth review, can I ask your thoughts on the new Ezviz LC3 I have the x 2 LC1 and picture quality isn't good on registration plate on cars or face's (UK)
Would love to see a review of this camera paired with one of their NVRs in the hopes that it would only record motion events (maybe with some 3s pre-recording) and not 24h.
I'm actually looking into systems similar to Eufy's that can incorporate cameras, doorbells, sensors, switches and a control pannel (like a keypad for alarm system) into one ecosystem. Ezviz seems to have a lot of great features and most of the boxes ticked, but would rather keep the recordings indoor instead of on an SDCard that could vanish with the camera.
What is the AI Motion Detection Range like at night?
I would also like to know, for me it detects me up to 15 meters..but I dont know if my settings are wrong or what
Thank you for this awesome review! Can you copy any video clip you need to your phone or computer so you can send it to police or insurance company? Or just save it for later reference?
Yes, with your selected motion detected video open for replay, you can click on the video or camera shot symbol. Then once you click either again to stop record, it automatically saves to your phone. Then you can email or text that video or pic file.
that high pitch beep is to get the attention of the crook breaking in.. it works.. you can also shut it off. ezviz is a cheaper version of the more expensive hikvison professional cameras. ezviz makes a 4k dvr system,, review that
Yes..it is..you can turn it off in a the app..
@@LifeHackster Hi, Can you please advise how to turn on the beep settings, when I click on device alarm mode, it has, intense, soft, silent??
