- Maaco quoted me $525 to replace these pieces and said they needed to remove the windshield. I knew better so I bought the parts from the dealer and my boyfriend installed them!

Just got my part today looking new crispy also plastic inserts unfortunately not coming with moldings and currently cost me 400 for two pieces without installing

I took mine off and sanded em down than primer & re-painted. Broke couple brackets clips went to the junkyard got handfuls off old cars 2 bucks. Your rear seats don't drop down?

@@bobby3940 oh I see lol yeah, I bought the car used and it just came all jacked up. But it’s definitely necessary! I think they may have had to replace their windshield previously and maybe just ruined the moldings and didn’t bother to replace them. That’s what I’m thinking lol 😂

For those who can’t pick up the molding from the dealer, they can buy them here on ebay for $216.87 +taxes + free shipping. Considering the cost of shipping, this is the cheapest you can find online for both right and left side moldings

What about the seal that runs across the top of the windshield?
We didn’t replace that. It’s still original.
I'm surprised that seal didn't go, looking at how much the side trims had deteriorated.

wohoo done in 45 minutes did not break one single bracket, a small head flat head screw driver made it easier unlock those interlocks before puling the whole thing off. saved $$$ for install asked by the dealer, now i have $$$ to buy a dashkit and 7" LCD stereo head unit another DIY in the future, thanks a ton guys you inspired me LOLZ

Yes! That’s what these are made for. Those little gaps. Essentially it’s a seal. 👌🏼

The drippings actually can fit inside without the box. I currently have both inside my car for my 09 lx-s

Driver is LEFT side. The side is determined by the item in question not the one who is looking at it. Same as YOUR left hand is "your" left hand.

For that I’m not sure. At the dealership they came together but they did have a separate price so maybe! In the video I mention how she gave them to me free because she forgot to charge me.

I can’t remember! I just know they cost me 1,300 with the tires too. If you’re in the south Houston area, I got them from King Tire on 45.

Hyang Yu hey! So I didn’t get the clip numbers but I did a close up of the clips in the video. The dealership has them! I would also just call them and ask for it. They will give it to you. Hope this helps! I bought everything the same day from the dealer. They forgot to charge me for the clips so mine were free.

hello i need to change for my honda, you know the honda part number and the price thanks
I called my Honda dealer, gave them my VIN number and they gave me the price for molding and clips. It was 299.00 total. I purchased and I'm watching video for a refresher before I head out to install them. I did get a condescending attitude when I told them I'd rather not pay $500 to have them installed. They didn't say it was going to be $500 but when I said I didn't feel it was necessary to pay $500 for something I go could easily do myself they didn't refute my guess.

So basically, the rubber seal that is attached to molding that provides waterseal had eroded away due to exposure/age?? My 08 windshield looks EXACTLY the same. Big ole gaps where the rubber seal should be meeting the windsheild and all the white clips basically exposed. All I need to do is order a new set and follow this vid and BOOM, ill be water tight again as well as not so faded//crappy looking Trim?!
