I just recently purchased these molding’s and the one came in really bent like the shape of a U, do you think this would be a problem? I can try to re order a new one and this one back that I got
@@robmotivetoo Thanks. I checked that site. They don’t have the roof drip molding for my son’s 2005 Civic LX. The cheapest I’ve found so far online is roughly $200 per side. 😕
I believe it's to hide the join of manufacture, between the roof panel and the side panels of the vehicle. There's a weld seam between those two and that molding hides that nicely :)
This was very instructional thank you. One question, if that molding is old can it leak water inside the car? Or is it just cosmetic?
I didn't notice anywhere that water could get in.
Thank you.
Nice thing on mine is, the old pieces were missing when we bought it 😂
So all I gotta do is put on the new ones.
They’re pretty easy to install.
Is the drivers side considered the right side. 1:59
Depends on where you live🤔
Drivers side is left in USA
@@andersax1 always!
2022 Tacoma drivers side was coming loose. Great. Probably from touch less wash with wind blown dried. 5 Nov 24.
Bummer!
This was the easiest car repair I've done in a long time! Putting the new molding on took about 1 minute - not exaggerating.
Absolutely. Very easy👍
I need to do mine for my 2017. The dealer wants like 200 to 300 lol lame . Can you list the part numbers for us?
@nataliewilson1338 Got mine at hondaparts.com.

Depends on which way it’s bent🤔
@@robmotivetoo so if your looking at it. It would be an upside down U bent shape, someone mentioned to leave it out in sun and it should fix it ?
That might work. Weight it down too.
Is this also the same for the hatchback sport model?
Nope. The hatchback is different.
How much if I had the dealer do It and if I did it myself?
Much, much more!
I want to do this for my son’s car. Can you post the link to where you bought the parts?
I believe it was hondaparts.com. They are OEM parts👍

That link no longer works. I clicked shop now it took me to buy a new Honda website lol.
Works for me…Not sure what you clicked🤔
What is the purpose of the roof trim?
To channel water.
I have water leaking onto my floor board by the pedals , and in the trunk of my car. Could the roof trim have anything to do with that
@nataliekerridge5747 I doubt it, but ya never know🤔

This work for 9th gen?
I’d check with your vendor 👍
