Good video! Always notice how the 319 likes to move on dual engine idle. (PS - Is it me or are those `Austin's Vegan Food' catering trucks an exceptional PITA all the time? Seems like every time I want to move in any direction, they they are!)

Greetings. I noticed that the Elec Pump is only on the right (Yellow Hyd) side. Does this mean that if we want to do a single engine taxi without the PTU going off we can only do so with Eng 1 running? Thanks again for your videos!

Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. Really enjoying them and find them very interesting. Does any of the Airbus procedures change as an American airline from a European one?

What is the reason behind some operators begin with engine 1 and other with engine 2 ?
    Merry Christmas to you!
(Hopefully you will be a bit bored over the holidays and find time for more videos 8-) )

lol Bored perhaps! I do have some stuff in the pipeline. As far as engine 1 vs engine 2 it really just comes to company procedure. Some older aircraft especially turbo props they always suggested starting engine 2 first because the starter relay was closer to the battery on that side so less strain on the battery..as for airliners (and more specifically airbus) there is no real reason that I can think of to start number 2 first EXCEPT for doing an external Air start. When using external air, the cart is normally on the left side of the aircraft and placed near or in front of the number 1 engine, so naturally we start number 2 first. When taxing on number 2 only, we dont use the yellow electric pump as that Engine driven pump is now on. You can argue back in the day and perhaps maybe even today, some operators may be permitted to do a single engine "turn" which means keeping the engine running while deplaning and boarding passengers, however I dont see how they will be able to load cargo in this configuration because the cargo doors are even CLOSER to the engine then the passenger door.

I was on a airbus and the ptu went for 30 min while we taxied. Do you think the pilots forgot to turn on the yellow electric pump?

I always start Engine 2 first, particularly in a single engine taxi. Is there a reason you start 1 first? Thanks
