- In video 2 of the Pilot series we talk about what to do when the aircraft has a deferred APU. Using real world procedures we start our engine at the gate and then attempt a cross bleed start on the taxi-out utilizing the #2 engine bleed.

Amazing sir hope your all good
Thanks, Keep them coming, Very interesting.
Great
thanks sir
Happy new year! Great video.
Great video! I remember a few weeks ago thinking about this. Thinking: "I have NEVER tried to start the engine without the APU. I should look for a guide to do this".
Well, now I have it :)
Could you try the plugin for the V speeds? :)
Why are you selecting crono? What are you timing?
Whats the next step after you complete this procedure? Do you do the after start checklist?
Hi
Please would you show us PTU behaviour at engine start?
Lol is that a cfm 56 sound on a v2500?
what happens when you have an dual engine failure on cruise and no apu? isn’t that super dangerous since you lose electricity?
RAM Air Turbine extends with loss of AC Bus 1 & 2 and or all hydro press loss-because if you had the APU running, AC 1/2 is ok and obv the apu gen buses run the electric hydro pumps so no need. But yes! If APU inoperative, you lose both gens+all hyd. For the 8 seconds the RAT takes to extend, you are on battery only+emergency AC bus via the static inverter (which will drain the batterys) and god help you if the rat fails to extend because yes you will be without hydraulics. You could attempt an APU start, but this is that much faster the battery drains and since the rat failed to extend your without hydraulics so hopefully not in a dive or its not going to start before you break apart
