You gotta do Heart - Barracuda. She slays that song.
And Dog & Butterfly!❤
And Magic Man
Magic Man should be next, I’d say. No more iconic Heart song.
All of the above!
For real.
PLEASE go down the Heart rabbit hole. They are amazing. Magic Man, Barracuda, Stairway To Heaven cover, Alone........anything by them rocks. Great reaction!
Please react to the 1978 live version. The finished product takes this song to a higher levek,
This.
Barracuda and definitely the stairway to heaven cover
I love comparing their 70s look and sound to them in the 80s. Such as comparing this one to them in the Alone MTV video. So awesome how they could pull 70s and 80s looks and sounds off beautifully.
Alone, used to listen, over, over, loooong time ago.
They weren't just a female band. They held their own in 70s music. That was hard to do. You had to have talent
They were one of the hardest bands on the scene, up there with Led Zep and early Aerosmith.
Serious staying power! Lasted well through the 90s with lots of chart-toppers! Great band!!
Yeah when you have to compete with bands like The Allman Bros., Zeppelin and Yes you pretty much have to be good.
When I saw them in 2013, they said "We've dominated the 70's, the 80's, the 90's, and now the 2000's!"...
The show was outstanding! 🤘😎
At the time I listened to Led Zep. Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Heart; once I saw them live I was done.
No autotune, just raw talent.
Phenomenal band, Awesome pipes in Ann.
I hope autotune shaming becomes a thing so we don't have to hear it anymore.
Yeah about that powerful voice coming out off such a "small" frame, she later took care of that issue 😂
Nancy too
💯
I HATE AUTOTUNE.
Ann Wilson is considered one of the greatest women rock singers of all time. She is now 73 years old and still sings. She has kept her voice strong and pure through what is undoubtedly a very vigorous vocal health regime. Heart does not play as a band these days, but Ann sings solo in a hard rock band. Check out the Led Zeppelin tribute from 2012 where Heart played Stairway to Heaven. It was a phenomenal display of Ann's vocal capabilities.
I'm going to a Heart concert with both Ann and Nancy Wilson, they are back baby NYE!!❤❤❤❤
Her collaboration with Disturbed was CRAZY good!
They're going on tour this year on 2024. Both in their 70's. Ann is 73, turning 74 soon. And still ROCKING!
She’s not “one of the greatest women rock singers” of all time. She is the greatest female rock singer ever, and one of the best singers, male or female, of all time.
You must see Heart doing “Stairway to Heaven” with LedZep in the audience. They kill it!
They made Robert Plant cry!
Just make sure to watch the right video. There’s a cut down one people watch that is so irritating. They cut some of the best parts
@@anthonydawson8080 thanks Why would anyone cut down that video. There isn’t dull moments. Something should be against the law 😂
Full version of Stairway: ua-cam.com/video/Ps7tVvQHLyo/v-deo.html.
Best cover ever!
Ann sings sweetly...then turns around and opens up a can of whoop ass on you 😂 Definitely a hole to go down. You've HAD to have heard "Barracuda" before, "Straight On", "Little Queen", "Mistral Wind" (preferably live), "Alone", "Bad Animals", "Black On Black", "In The Night", "Secret", "If Looks Could Kill". But some of the best work they did was their tribute to Led Zeppelin, playing "Stairway To Heaven" Kennedy Center Honors. It's not their song, but they damn near made it theirs.
Nobody ever mentions "Black on Black", but that song is astounding. Kudos for suggesting it. I wholeheartedly agree.
You can't miss watching them perform at Kennedy Center. There aren't enough words to explain it. I am a child of the 70's music and I am 70. I never tire of hearing them. Enjoy my friend.
@@ShonnDaylee nobody ever really mentions anything past the "Heart" album, tbh. I at least wanted to touch on Brigade and Desire Walks On
My thoughts exactly! Mistral Wind live from the Greatest Hits album is so badass! Don't forget about Devil Delight either. 😉
@@jasonrichardson1208 I like that version better than the album version!
They don't make music like this anymore. Back then you had outrageous talent and no autotune. And both sisters have talent in spades! ❤
The whole band did.
Try Greta Van Fleet. A current band that has tons of talent and no auto tune
This is a great rock band that started in the 70's. Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. They have had so many great hits such as "Barracuda", "Magic Man", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams", "Alone" etc. In 2012 Ann & Nancy performed at the Kennedy Center Honors in a tribute to Led Zeppelin doing their classic song "Stairway To Heaven".
Perfect explanation 👌
You beat me to it!! Loved them since the very beginning of their careers ♥️ “Mistral Wind” is one of my all time favorites from Heart 💜
Well said.
I feel that any music enthusiast should explore the roots of music through artists that touch them through the years. My parents raised us a good dose of Iron Butterfly, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Led Zeppelin. Don't get me started on Eric Burden or The Animals. We had the Beach Boys in our area early in their career as well performing. The Kurt Cobain Memorial is less than a mile from my home.
Alone by Heart is a longtime favorite !!
One of the best female vocalists ever
Facts!!
Just a small step below Janis Joplin
THE Best in my book.
Ann Wilson. One of the best female rock voices. You should check out her singing Stairway to Heaven
Heart is a lifetime favorite and Ann's voice is killer, but their band is one of the most underrated bands of the 1970s and early 1980s.
Found you! You're the underrated guy. Heart? Underrated? Not by people with ears. ❤
Always nice to see you get your mind blown. When Led Zeppelin got their Kennedy center award, their cover of stairway to heaven brought tears to Robert Plant's eyes. So many great songs. I think Dog and the butterfly is the first song I connected with, and then I had to get the whole catalog. Damn I wish I still had all those LP's
That is a great performance and Anne shows she still has it.
Heart covered a lot of Led Zep songs over the years. Their cover of The Battle of Evermore under the band name The Lovemongers is incredible.
@@williamdemerchant7295 I will have to check that out. Thank you for the suggestion. 💜💜💜💜
Me too, thanks!!
Anne Wilson did a rework of LZ's Immigrant Song on her 2007 Hope & Glory album that is equally incredible. An excellent arrangement.
They sang Stairway to Heaven to the living members of Led Zeppelin at Hall of Fame induction!!
The Wilson sisters, Ann with her powerhouse voice and Nancy playing guitar and backup vocals. There's a reason they're in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
I’ve always thought that Ann Wilson had the best voice in rock. She can sing anything. Heart has a huge catalogue of music that I’m sure you’ll love.
Hi Polo. I see other people commenting and most agree on “Magic Man” (which is probably the most similar to “Crazy on You”) “Barracuda” and the Wilson sisters live version of “Stairway to Heaven” - Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are in the audience and Plant is brought to tears. But another great song is “Straight On”. We saw Heart live around 1980 and “Straight On” received a HUGE cheer from the crowd.
The song gimme shelter was made for her.
Dude... Check out Heart covering Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors a few years ago.
This!
That was an emotional performance. I watch it all the time. Good suggestion.
Check out who attended that performance as well. Among guests are President Obama and our 1st Lady, who were rocking out!
Heart is crazy, Ann Wilson and her sister playing acoustic guitar beside her.Grew up listening to this fantastic band in the 70,80,90's.
Enjoy the ride
Ann Wilson has a voice that can’t be ignored or rivaled. Just a powerhouse of a singer.
Ann(lead vocals) and Nancy(acoustic and electric guitar, backing vocals) Wilson, are legends. Both can play multiple instruments and both have amazing voices.
If you like this, you should react to her (Anne Wilson) singing Stairway to Heaven in 2012 in front of Led Zeppelin members. She killed it and brought those guys to tears.
ABSOLUTELY!!
2012, but yes
Yup, typo...fixed it, thanks@@empyrealone
He did!
Fun fact: in the early 80s movie “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”, there’s a small scene with Brad driving to a food delivery while wearing his goofy work uniform and he sees a hot girl in the next car over; it’s Nancy Wilson from Heart, the blond guitarist/singer.
Ann and Nancy Wilson are legends. Ann's voice is one of the greatest in all of rock.
I was born in 1975. My parents would play Heart. You need to play The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. It is a powerful song. Heart is one of my favorites. Her name is Anne Wilson and her sister Nancy is the guitar player. Anne's voice is just one of a kind. Thank you for listening to this. If you need advice on these bands I'm your girl!! 💜💜💜💜
Yes. If you haven't already heard "the chain" by Fleetwood Mac, that should be listened to ASAP. Lol, I'm sure if you have a list, it's on there.
I was born in 1975 too! ❤
Fishers guitar work was big time as well
my man
^ Child of 70 and she's not wrong! ^
I'm so happy you found Heart! My favorite is "Barracuda." You may want to try that one or "Magic Man" next!
Those were always my favorites, in the same order! Crazy on You was my third favorite. lol
Ann ranks with the greatest rock singers ever, regardless of gender. Once you finish Heart’s ‘70s hits, definitely watch Stairway at the Kennedy Center.
I’m one of those old guys who first saw them live in April 1975, still have my copy of Dreamboat Annie on the shelf.
Her voice is still smooth dude she's absolutely amazing.
Barracuda and their Led Zeppelin cover live at the Kennedy Center ... they have so many great hits!
One of the best if NOT the best female rock singers of all times next to Stevie Nicks, and the likes of Joplin...her range is incredible. Her sister is an incredible guitarist too...so much talent with these ladies and they hold up against any of the big bad boys of rock imo
these women are LEGENDS!!!!! So much talent!
Watching people listen to songs I grew up with and appreciate it as much as I did back in the 70's, very cool.
This was Heart's first breakout hit. No one back then had ever heard anything like it. Heart cemented their reputation not long after by recording one of the rockingest songs ever put on vinyl: Barracuda. You should def react to it for your next Heart experience. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/PeMvMNpvB5M/v-deo.html
I don’t think I have seen you smiling quite this much in a reaction. 😁
Wow you just found Heart!!! Awesome! Get your mind blown with their song Barracuda!!!😁
This is the genuine stuff. No auto tune, just a powerful, controlled, accurate voice. Ann Wilson was everything!
You reacted to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin a week or so ago. So now you need to listen to Heart doing the Led Zeppelin Tribute at the Kennedy Center Honors. It is awesome!
They got many bangers. Utter classics
I grew up in that time. Heart is one of my favorite bands and still is. Anne Wilson is a great singer and her sister Nancy is a fantastic guitar player. Other songs by them are Magic Man, Barracuda, Alone and several others. Check them out.
YAAAAAS!! He found them!! ❤❤
Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven with them in audience!!
I'm happy with any Heart, no one has done a lot of reactions to "Dog & Butterfly" a slow beautiful song and harmonies are stunning.
Dude, watch them do Led Zeppelin Tribute at the Kennedy Center Awards. Blew the doors off the place.
Good call. That was an amazing performance.
Bonnie Riatt was rocking it and so was Yo Yo Man...the cellist
Oh these are one of the handful of women rockers. They don’t disappoint. Ann with the voice of gold and Nancy playing awesome acoustic guitar are rock legends.
Saw them in concert with Journey and Styx and Heart by far was amazing out of the three Ann Wilson's voice still sounds the same , amazing pipes!
The Queens of Rock n' Roll. Beautiful voices, lyrics, music and Nancy Wilson is considered an excellent guitar player. They do great covers of Led Zepplin songs like no one else. So many GREAT Heart songs.
The pitch heights she can reach without using head voice is insane, that tone, intonation, and phrasing... Barracuda and Magic Man must be checked out.
As others have said, you need to check out the Kennedy Center Honors with Heart singing Stairway to Heaven. However, no matter what Heart song/video you pick, you won’t be disappointed!
They have so many great hits. Never, Barracuda, What about Love, Magic Man, These Dreams, and so many more. The 2 ladies are sisters. Anne and Nancy Wilson, both are great singers and I think can play any instrument you hand them.
Had to watch this as soon as I saw it. Ann Wilson has one of my favorite voices of all time. Still crush hard on her
One of my high school favorites. Unfortunately, Nancy’s awesome acoustic guitar intro was cut out of this version. You can hear it here: ua-cam.com/video/OZuW6BH_Vak/v-deo.htmlsi=JxiSueNuWhtPdFkX
I love Heart! She has one of the best voices in music.
Saw them on their first tour promoting their debut album 'Dreamboat Annie'. Saw them four more times over the years. They are huge Led Zeppelin fans. Your next one should be their cover of 'Stairway To Heaven' at The Kennedy Center Honors (Led Zeppelin). They will blow your socks off! ❤
Alone, Coming Straight On For You, Barracuda and Never are all great songs too - Ann Wilson is sometimes underrated as a singer because she’s rock and roll but she’s unbelievable IMO
Please watch the video from the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin and listen to Heart's live cover of Stairway to Heaven performed in front of surviving members of the band, Jones, Page and Plant. One thing that makes the performance really special is that it features Jason Bonham on drums, the son of the great John Bonham, drummer and deceased member of Zeppelin. He is even playing on his dad's drum kit. Zep singer, Robert Plant, is godfather to Jason. Plant had invited Jason to be in attendance with them, but Jason declined due to a prior performance obligation. Little did Robert know that performance was to perform there with Heart, so you can imagine his surprise when Jason was announced to be performing with Heart. It had to make it all the more special and sentimental for Robert and the rest of the band. The band and Robert in particular are known to not particularly care for hearing cover versions of the song, but by the end it is clear this one surprised and overwhelmed them. Also, keep in mind as you listen to this performance that Ann Wilson is in her 60s, her voice is so great! Jimmy was even impressed with the guitar solo. Huge kudos to whomever was responsible for the arrangment with additional instrumentation and masterful layering to add to the natural slow build of this classic to it's epic ending climax as well as the visual unfolding of it all on stage. Legendary performance! This performance opportunity was equally important and meaningful for Heart. Zeppelin was the band they always idolized, but can you imagine the nerves of performing it in front of the masters themselves? Heart over the years made it a habit to perform at least one Zeppelin song in their live set list, but frequently changing it up to play different songs, tho most commonly it was the song Rock and Roll from Zeppelin IV.
"relaxing but killing it" well when you have talent you don't need glam & gimmicks! Heart had a pretty extensive career "these dreams" and "Nothing at all" are two of my favorites. Ann Wilsons' voice just got more powerful over time "What about love" will give you goosebumps IMHO- Tyler
You missed out because you didn't watch a version with the intro. The intro is amazing and takes the rest of the song to a whole new level.
I wish he had watched the Midnight Special performance. I'm pretty sure this one was playback, but that one was 100% live and she killed it with her vocals.
My all-time favorite Seattle band! These sisters are legend. Try Magic Man!
When we saw Ann last year, she sounded amazing! She was even better than she was the year before, with Heart. The woman is a powerhouse and mezmerizing to watch. I'm more of a Metalhead but Ann has Metal energy. 🤘🏻🖤🤘🏽
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Heart had so many hits. ❤
This is just one of many great rock songs that Heart did. Ann and Nancy Wilson along with the other band members absolutely rocked the 70’s and 80’s.
For a special treat seek our Heart’s rendition of Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors. Truly nailed it. It will give you chills. Trust me.
She sings the hell out of Led Zeppelin! Never listened to a classic rock station? 😄. Absolute LEGENDS. Just saw Ann in Dec. voice holds up.
So many great Heart songs!! Great voices great guitar work.
Thank you for giving them a listen! Heart was a serious player in 70's music. They were huge.
Please check out "Magic Man" and "Barracuda" next. They have a deep rabbit hole to explore.
More Heart!! She has one of, if not THE best, female voices in rock! So many great songs to experience!
Heart’s tribute to Led Zeppelin, singing, “Stairway to Heaven” - Kennedy Center Honors
I saw these Chicks, in concert at the Superdome, in the summer of 1979!!!
Envious and a little jealous.
Sht, I went home from school that summer. Hindsight, know what I mean
@@tomratcliff3755 ¿Tulane?
@@Able-Man yes, 76-82
@@tomratcliff3755 I was "a Bicentennial Edition Graduate" out of Highschool, so, I'm guessing we're very nearly the same age!
I was working the deck of "a towboat", out of Morgan City, at the time... We were supposed to pick up a barge, in Slidell and had to just "sit and wait a few days"; so, I decided to take a trip into "The Big Easy"; when I heard that concert was happening!
I'd rented a $40 or $60 Hotel Room/ with a fireplace and kitchenette and all... Ended up locked in the "Drunk Tank" and hadda pay AN EXTRA $50, to get outta THERE!!!
Polo, Nancy Wilson plays an amazing intro to this song, you’ve GOTTA check it out. It’s pretty short, but so impressive. This video started right after that part
Yes!!!! Next Heart song; “STRAIGHT ON” it’s got some FUNK ❤❤🔥🔥
Now that you’ve seen Led Zeppelin do Stairway to Heaven, and you’ve seen Ann Wilson’s freakish power, you should watch the StH live cover by Heart and a ginormous choir
Magic Man and Barricuda.. perfect songs by them ❤❤
Overplayed. There are better ones. Give then a listen yourself
- LOTS of great songs by Heart!
Also hear their "Good Vibrations" Brian Wilson tribute at Radio City Music Hall in (2001).
Ann and youngest sister Nancy Wilson are the constant members of Heart ❤. The band started as a band who often covered Led Zeppelin. That changed when Heart started writing songs.
Ann Wilson, Geoffrey Tate of Queensryche, the late Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, RIP, and the late Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, RIP, were students of the late singing coach David Kyle, RIP.
Great song 👍
Suggested videos 📹: 1 Heart performs Stairway to Heaven. 2 Ann Wilson and Mike Reno sing Almost Paradise 3 Queensryche performs Take Hold of the Flame.
Tons of great tunes in their catalog. Lots of favorites but “Magic Man” from this band is another great to react to
You've just come across the best female singer of all time and top 3 with Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers. Ann Wilson is her name along with her sister Nancy on guitar have been putting out incredible music for 50 years. So many great songs to check out such as "Barracuda" "Magic Man" " The Dog and the Butterfly" "Bebe LeStrange"and so many more. They were huge Zeppelin fans and played their songs at every concert. You must see them do The Battle of Evermore live in 1978 I think. They also do Stairway To Heaven live in 2012 at the Kennedy Center Honors of Led Zeppelin with all 3 members in attendance. To watch Robert Plant tear up and get emotional is amazing. They were so good. The only band that could out Zeppelin Zeppelin!
you had me at "Who is Heart" I love your channel for things like that.
have a wonderful day!
The iconic band heart. The two gorgeous sisters. All their songs. Fabulous to withstand the test of time
Ann Wilson has the best female voice in rock music imo!
One of the greatest voices in rock!!!
You need to hear their tribute cover of Stairway to Heaven. It's amazing
Heart played at my high school in Vancouver on Valentines Day at lunch time in the cafeteria 1973. Unreal to think about that now….. incredible…
I've never heard a bad song by Heart !
Ann Wilson was the lead singer, and her sister Nancy was with her on the guitar, upfront and onstage.
Wasnt this song in guardians of the galaxy 3
@kevinhayes5944 I'm not sure. I haven't seen that yet. However, I can't wait to see it!
I saw them twice in concert back in the day. They were amazing.
I think one of the most awesome things about Heart is how they were able to keep having huge hits for a long period of time by being able to change their look and sound so that different generations know and love them. My dad fell in love with them because of their 70s hits and I fell in love with them because of their 80s hits, so we were able to listen to them and enjoy their awesome music together.
A powerhouse of a song and band led by 2 sisters. Ann has one of the best voices in rock history!
That first album was so different. And what a powerhouse in concert. Loved that era.
They are iconic and you will love all their songs that you will be asked to request to. They have a lot of songs that are well known. Thanks Polo for reacting🙏🏼
Heart absolutely obliterates anything made today. Pure, unadulterated talent by everyone involved in this performance.
I love Heart! Saw them in concert once. Kept getting into trouble, don't ask,and the guard dragged me to this kinda dark place and told me not to move! Then he took off,I looked around when my eyes adjusted, and I was on the side of the stage looking right at the sisters!! It was incredible! He left me there for like 15 or 20 minutes ,then made me go back to my seat.
Saw them in 1978 in Milwaukee, her voice was as absolutely beautiful live, it was incredible.
I was there as well!
Heart was a great group band. Somehow growing up in the 50's, 60's & 70's had the best music from these years.
Great Band, It was a good time to be young. I miss those days. Thanks for your reaction
There are some songs that just have IT, have EVERYTHING, and this is one of those songs.
Heart is one of the most amazing woman forward bands ever. Idk if they have a video of it but the full length album version is worth a listen just to hear Nancy shred on that acoustic during the intro.
I get goosebumps hearing her sing the chorus. It’s fun seeing someone experience this for the first time. It’s amazing to watch experts do what they do with such ease…it almost doesn’t make sense…they are chill-killin it!
Heart led the way for up and coming female rock stars....there was no better role models than Ann & Nancy Wilson and the rest of Heart.
Peace and love to all!!
🙏❤️😎🇨🇦
Loved them since I was about 12 years old, and going to see them yet again this August, they are amazing live too!
ANN WILSON......BEST FEMALE VOCOLIST EVER!!! HOWS THE MOVE GOING??❤❤❤
Great band. Great reaction. You have to do the Kennedy Center tribute to Led Zeppelin next.
My favorite Hart song is "Alone." The vocals are powerful!
Ah, Ann Wilson... one of the best if not the best female vocals in history of rock music. She is an icon.
