We use to drag a net out of a mini boat neck deep in a half circle shape from the shore . Then we would pull one side in and pick out the feast. Government don't allow it anymore though.
I make my bait the afternoon before wrap it up in tin foil make it like hamburger patties real flat and put in a freezer they'll stay longer in the water because they'll slowly dissolve works great and I use Manhattan milk in my mixture
I want to try catching shrimp I live just a half mile from choctawhatchee Bay and Santa Rosa sound. Only couple times a year do I see shrimp boats in the bayou, we've had a low mullet harvest, an Old Roy at The Salty Bass says the salinity is low in the bay this year. I wonder if that would affect the shrimp.
Should have put some bait ball's on in your trap if you have an old pantyhose put them in that little let him slowly dissolve I have shrinks shrimp traps and that's what I do
@@ReelHazardous is it messy on the bottom by the pier because of construction? I thought it was closed. It’s been VERY spotty around the Shands pier and bridge from the boat. Good size but a lot of work!
@@ReelHazardous yes but sometimes u destroy them with the fool moon. It's Sunday so I go with my old man so no is out of the question unless weather. We will talk in a bit. Good hearing from you guys. 👍👍👍👍👍
We haven't done much shrimping this year because the reports were slow. When they are running though you can catch then from land by Ortega railroad bridge.
Love fishing and shrimping in the Cove. Very cool!😎🤙
Awesome man, thanks!
Ok... now you have made me hungry for shrimp !!
It makes us hungry too!

Reel Hazardous Anytime
I heard from a bring or a dock that mix pop's made work very well but at night a light n the mix works best
Maybe a cordless drill and a drywall mud mixer attachment for that shrimp chum?
That's a pretty good idea!
If you had a few led ligths in the water you catch even more shrimp
Eye ye Captain!!!
I also heard current brinhs them n with full moon.
The duck tape scares the shrimp to the middle of the net
So what river are you fishing on?
What is the receipt for the shrimp? I could not hear clearly. Thanks!!!
Great video! Where are you guys located?

What kind of bait did u put in the trap?

I think the salinity does play a big role. When we get a lot of rain during shrimping season it seems to hurt us quite a bit.
Where do you get your fish meal in Jax?
Greetings and thanks for this post. Is it possible to fish for shrimp and crawfish without a boat??? Live in SC
Yeah. If your not in a boat you can catch shrimp from shore at night.
@@ReelHazardous Thank you so much for this post. I'm excited to go shrimping and crabbing. Great posts!😎
Shrimping? On what river?
This was on the St. John's river.
Should have put some bait ball's on in your trap if you have an old pantyhose put them in that little let him slowly dissolve I have shrinks shrimp traps and that's what I do
Awesome, thanks for the advice!

Ok here is a different way use buttermilk and ridged potatoe chips
Sounds good. I’ll give that a try next time!
I heard fool moon is best but Im allergic to shrimp lobster n stone crab so I have never tried it
Dang that's too bad. Yeah full moon seems to be the best time up here too!

Paint mixing paddle and achordlessDRILL
That would definitely make it quicker lol
To much oil, to much animating your hands, to much talking wheeeeew !
