For now you can get the phone holders with the rubber that goes around the corners so you can see your speed

@@EmxBrandonhey man. Thank you for all the info on your builds. It’s helps a lot. I have a ebox2.0, it runs the same motor as the original Mototec. I was looking into adding a controller to help take the twitch out for wheelies but now I’m wondering about the QS165 swap entirely. What was the added speed and benefits over the OG motor with the Fardrive controller?
@morganmcdougall4259 no problem! If you can handle the fab job for the 165, as i think youd be the first to do it on an ebox! The improvement is really night and day, assuming you can fit a battery capable of 200 amp discharge. The "mototec" motor is tapped out at 5kw and will get extremely hot if your really beating on it. With the qs165 i see people running 15kw through them! I was running mine at 8kw and getting 64mph with 65/13 gearing. The fardriver is a great controller but looking into vesc based controllers will give you that smooth throttle response your looking for. Im making the switch to a vesc based flipsky soon to dive into the vesc tuning world!
@@EmxBrandonlegend man. I’m stoked on your channel and feedback. Yeah I’ll try measure it out today and see if it’s possible as I know the stock motor is about 105mm wide and the QS 165 is 130mm. Like you say my problem would be the battery. I have a 60V 18.2AH atm but was looking at the Amorge 72V 24AH 120AMP ANT battery.
I’m basically looking for the E&C upgrade kit on a budget 😅 Do you think I could just swap to a Fardriver and get a little more juice from this Ebox? I know E&C run the VOTOL EM50-4 but it seems hard to get the tune right?
Anything to improve that throttle response would be epic! 🔥🤘🏼
Oh and I just looked up the VESC Flipsky. Maybe this is also an option..

@@The2011tahoe yeah i can definitely make that a series maybe a couple videos. I wasnt planning to go into too much detail since putting the etm kit in the rsf is gonna be a kinda one off deal since for most people it would make more sense to just get a plug and play kit. Im always down for more content though 😆

Hey Brandon awesome job on the bike it turned out great very nice job on the fabrication on the swingarm. Have you thought about wider handle bars it would give you way more control and less turning of the handle bars. I put on my Stealth Bomber 780mm 30mm riser bars on my bike it’s so much better and more comfortable and better control. Having wider bars would give you more control on your steering. Just a thought for you. I changed my goose neck also to a real short one to put my bars over he front shock more the one they had to on it was further away from me. Now I have more control and less reach to the bars. With the wider bars you will be able to put mirrors on it to see better behind you also witch would be safer riding on the road. Those bar end mirrors suck your bike fall over on that side and your mirror is broke so I have the ones that mount on the handle bars. Safety is so important when being on the road. Please ride safe and wear gloves also buddy. Take care
Hey gary! Yes wider bars are a must now that i have those big hand controls. Soon enough ill grab some 🤙and the new grip controls have bolt holes for some nice mirrors. So i can get rid of those small crappy bar end mirrors 😆 thanks for watching my friend. Ill definitely be putting more money into gloves and safety gear now that this thing is pushing close to 60mph

Great comment. Props to you good fella. So often I find myself pleading with motorcyclists to wear protective gear. Soon as I see bare handed riding I have to stop watching for my own peace of mind. I hope he takes your advice seriously. I'd hate to see anything bad happen to this guy while riding.

@EmxBrandon 2 razors. 1 with electro and co. 72v on a sx500... then going all out on a mx500 with KO motor and controller... saw a guy build a razor that broke 100 mph with that set up🤘

How many kw are you pushing? i want to get this for my x160, which pushes 3 right now 😂. On electro and co it it can do 5kw continuous, which is pretty lame. Wonder if i can push that to 10-15. thanks.

Hi Brandon will you advice this motor for a super bike (sport motorcycle) what’s you top speed and does it climb hills like it’s piece of paper
For a sport bike probably a qs138 90h or maybe qs180. Something big that can handle alottt of power!
What made you go this motor and not a qs90 ? Wouldn't the qs 90 fit better being smaller?
The Mototec swing arm is too skinny compared to say the razors. The my1020 is like 5in long and the mototec motor is 4in. The qs90 or my1020 would require the swing arm yo be widened, which opens a hole other can of worms with sprocket and brake alignment. The qs165 being pancake shaped was just skinny enough to fit inbetween the swing arm without having to move the brake setup and i was able to mount the motor to line up perfect with the rear sprocket. That and the 165 is a beast!

Hell yeah the qs165 is a beast! I use a 13/65 but jordan and others used a 13/56ish combo on their mx with rsf wheels for their 165 swaps
You should definitely strap that helmet, you crash at that speed you're going to be hurt ing,I wear full leg knee pads and arm elbow pads
Where did you get the frame? Please and ty
The frame is just a stock mototec 1600w. You can get them from mototec, venom motorsports, or various other resellers. It's a complete bike that does 25mph out of the box. I swapped the plastics to crf50 and made a subframe extension that's bolts on, then in the video I just completed stretching and modifying the swing arm to fit a qs165. Otherwise the frame, forks, triple tree, wheels are all stock.

Mine was the em50s but all the new kits are the new version of the em50 which is more compact.
@EmxBrandon if anyone is wondering it's it the votol em50-4 might as well just get the etm whole kit... 45 mph 4000w here I come !
Hmm only 4kw? They used to tune em to 5kw and some at 6kw per request. But i think the em50s models were good for like 80 amps in sport mode.
@EmxBrandon I'm on a 60v battery it's a ebox2.0 is why I'm guessing ill be around 4000watts since 72v is about 5000w

Just stock mototec wheels with a kenda kd1 100/90-12 for the rear and a irc nr77 70/100-14 in the front. You can get em on amazon or copy paste search on google.

yo i was wondering if you know of someone i can buy a battery from 48v 20ah that ships to norway, i tried amazon but it kept saying that i needed to revise my payment method, when i tried to it just kept showing that i needed to do it again. so I cancelled it and still got charged for the battery :( just let me know if you know of someone plz.

How did you stretch the phase wires?
A ton of solder, thick copper wire and a torch lol it was stressful

Nice! Yeah i went to the autoparts store and got some 0 guage battery wire i believe. Im sure theres a more legit way to do it but i haven't had any issues yet!

This is the last video in the build series, i had to modify the swing arm. Alot has been done to my mototec before and after this aswell.

Your gonna have to be more specific? Welder was 1000, qs kit was 800, bike was 1100, the list goes on.

Can you swap the motor to a 72volt?
The stock motor can handle 72v 5kw just fine
