@@VoltronWatts I’ve been told the My1020 doesn’t mount right without modification but I can’t confirm it until I try myself right lol 😂 If I could fit that or EC4P motor would be all I need . The stock motor does look similar in size.
Should consider LIPO and stacking bats, esp when you have a fleet of bikes. Its half the cost, and half the weight at like amp discharges. That way you can quickly toss together what ever bat you need. High AH @ lower volts for long cruises, high volts low AH for drag race and events you don't need range etc. That way you have a stack of modular bats. for the whole fleet. Also good because if you have 1 cell crap out it doesn't scrap a $1500+ battery. So you can throw on 28s and 117v worth of lipo at 20AH if I want to go drag someone. OR you can run 14s @ 58v at 40ah if I want a long city cruise at bike path speeds.
@@VoltronWatts you basically build them. RC hobby shops like HOBBYKING sell the packs reasonable and have 30-40% off sales around blk fridays and xmas. Ebay also has some great deals if you keep your eye out. I was getting 12s 44v 20ah packs for $200 shipped each. Run 2 in series for 100v and up to 400a on the 96/680 fardrivers.
@@TwstedTproductions 96/680 far drivers work pretty well for the cost if you ar eon a budget. I'd go with their 96/1200 race controller though if I did it again. Feel like I'm limited line amp wise with the one I have.
Hi I love your content man! quick question, how’d u connect the original key and battery percentage to the controller. I would like to do the same, because some people are telling me to cut the ends of the stock one and the one that comes with the kit and wire them together but I don’t really know how. So can you please explain it to me?
I used the two forward bolts on the two holes in the swing arm then, since the controller is a little short and a little fat to bit back up into the frame, I used a short strap to tighten it up
Well… you don’t want your battery to hit 0 volts. If it did that would damage the battery. So there is a battery management system in the battery that shuts the battery down once it hits or goes below “X” voltage. Each battery voltage type has a “shut down” voltage
Man I can't decide which bike I want to build. Do you know if E&C will be making the little bit kit or noisy cricket kit for the Ebox 2.0 or Mototec? I really want to put the noisy cricket kit or little bit kit into one of those bikes, but looks like they only make it for the Razors. I have a surron but it is way too expensive to build so I'm keeping it stock.
I have an a 2.0 72v with the electro an co kit thing rips but want more power for hill climbs. Wonder if a far driver can be used an howmuch can these upgraded motor handle
Great question actually. I have no idea what the motors can handle. The 72v kit seems like the top of the mountain as far as performance goes. Maybe look into a gearing change to gain more torque for the off road / hill climb stuff?
That Votol EM50-4 is programmable but seems like chopped off the connector for the USB debugging cable. It’s strange they cut off the original waterproof hall sensor to connector and put a cheap connector on the controller but replaced all the cheap connectors with waterproof connectors. Lol That seems like a 75a-80a controller, so you can probably use a 100a-190a Fardriver (72300 or 72360) because it has more control over the power and field weakening than the Votol does. That motor seems to be rated at 2300w and 5000w peak, which is what the Votol will feed it. But if you have control over the power you can send 10 kw briefly. Both Votol and Fardriver has a BOOST mode with a time limit and cooldown. It doesn’t make the controller more powerful, but it allows you to use a more powerful controller on a weaker motor. For example, if you buy a 72300 with 100a max DC, you can set DC amps to 75a so it will behave similar to the votol and set Boost to 100a for 30 seconds, and that will send 7200 watts if your battery can support 100a. You may also combine a chain sprocket change with the controller change, giving more low end torque and using field weakening to get the top speed back (staying within the rpm limit of the motor).
Besides telling you the voltage of the battery does the Volt meter also tell you the battery range and charge level? I’m confused on the purpose of the volt meter.
@@VoltronWatts sorry I’m not sure I understand. Say the battery is a 60 volt, will the volt meter say 30 volts if the Battery is at 50% capacity? Sorry
I havnt tested that yet. But it will be different for everyone depending on weight, terrain, elevation change, throttle manner. I’d guess 10 miles maybe a little more of street riding.

I have a mototec and I put this kit on. It works great. Do you happen to know where to get a set of drop pegs for the mototec? I can’t find them anywhere

How are you supposed to change the on off switch to the key?
Get you a key and wire it in the place of the on/off switch
So even if you want to keep the stock volt meter on it you still need to cut the wires and soder them ?
You do have to either cut 2 wires and crimp / solder them OR re pin the connection to fit the volt meter plug.
