Something that kind of bothered me but isn’t really a big deal with this movie is the lack of the use of the world lesbian. Why is everyone so afraid to say lesbian ?? Our main characters (from what we’ve seen) are lesbians!!! So call them that!!
They use the word lesbian quite frequently! But AJ is bisexual so I’m sure that’s why they don’t refer to them both as lesbians

I'm glad people are actually talking about how shitty Paige's art is because like, yeah okay art is subjective and crap, but I used to draw shit like this in kindergarten (not that I'm a good artist by any means, but that's actually how my art used to look when I was younger).
Now that I have that off my chest, I love that you didn't just dismiss this movie as cringe like a lot of other people have. I know that this movie has its moments, but it's literally just a wholesome sapphic rom-com. If straight people can have rom-coms without trauma, then why can't we? Even the writers of the movie described the setting as a sort of utopia with everyone being comfortable with their sexuality and there being ZERO homophobia; which of course people are saying is not realistic but like, I know it's not realistic, the writers know it's not realistic, but this is a fucking rom-com, it doesn't have to be realistic. I love and appreciate all the LGBT movies/tv shows/books that we have about coming out stories, but it's also just nice to have LGBT relationships be normalized and not have to start with a traumatic experience.
