Hi, I have a Phaser II replica I paid about $100 for at a ST convention in 1985. It appears to be very high quality but has no moving parts except for the Phaser I which is held in place by Velcro. How much would you say it is worth now? Thanks.

Are you gonna pick up any DISCO phasers? McFarlane is coming out with a pretty decent looking toy version, and the design in general is just a better update/modernization of the tos design than the 09 design in my opinion

To be honest, I've never heard of a 'DISCO' phaser. Doesn't matter though, I'm about done collecting new pieces. I've got one more TOS phaser I want to build for my collection (as soon as I figure out how to combine laser AND LED phaser-beam effects) - after that, I'm going to concentrate on my military model building. LOL - besides, I'm out of space for displaying my Trek stuff.

Ernie N oh sorry, I was just using the abbreviation for “Discovery” lol. The design of the phaser is kind of neat as far as updating the TOS aesthetic goes. And best of luck with the military models! Can’t wait to see em if you decide to make videos about them

My bad - how the Trek did I miss that? Anyway, I may eventually add one to the collection, but I'm waiting to see what comes out from 'the factories' - right now the 3d printed models look good but don't seen open to being modified for electronics (besides, I built a 3d printed Star Wars blaster & I'm still dusting out my workshop after all the sanding it needed...). I've seen the new one (you know the $500 job with the 1-yr waiting period) - all I can say about that one is, "Yeah, right! Like that's gonna happen." I'll just have to wait for someone like Stapleton to break down & produce a good resin kit... And, BTW, thanks for getting back and clearing up the 'Disco' thing...

Ernie N have you seen the one McFarlane Toys is putting out? It’s similar to the Art Asylum/Diamond Select phasers, it seems like it’ll have a pretty sturdy build/electronics set up provided they don’t mess it up before they release it. And for a 30-40 price range it’s a much easier pill to swallow than the $500 ANOVOS one you mentioned lol But like what you showed off, I really want to work towards a definitive evolution of the phaser set up. Enterprise to Voyager and everything in between

No, haven't seen it yet. I'll start looking around. Thanks so much for the heads-up! Have a great weekend.

Please learn to pronounce the letter "T". Oh, I guess I should say the leh-ur "T" so you will understand. When you refer to METAL pieces you say "Meh-ul". Are you a Neanderthal? I would love to hear you pronounce that word. Can you even properly pronounce the word "Neanderthal"-there are two pronunciations & each involve the ability, when spoke, to use the letter "T." Have a great Veah-a rins Day tomorrow.
