    Hi Karl,
I recently ordered this replacement handle and got it in the mail today.
The is a really big difference in the overall grip and feel of the WC Phaser with the new grip attached.
This feels much better in the hand and the quality and the weight of this is terrific

Thank God! Now I can sleep at night knowing there is FINALLY a proper thickness handle for the Wand Company phaser! Whew! Thought is was just NOT gonna happen!

    Thanks Karl,
Found them. It is a good quality replacement resin handle, but seems pricey to me at $53 with shipping.
It's a third of the cost of the entire Phaser.
Plus, while the resin is very high quality and brass coated (probably brass electroplated or electro deposited), and weighted, the original handle that is part of this phaser replica is a solid piece of painting die-cast metal. I will have to think about whether or not the price is worth it for this for awhile and, hopefully, can still purchase this toward the end of January 2015.
Currently, the seller has only produced a very limited quantity of these.
    Thanks, again.
    Michel

The handles for the two phases were scanned and and cast from two different phases but both are authentic. The Star Trek TOS hero phaser had a grip that was not quite as wide, although that's barely discernible, especially to the naked eye from a couple feet away, and certainly nobody seemed to notice when the grips were changed on the series. I definitely didn't.

BTW sorry about how the image is "swimming" in my video. I did not shoot it that way. UA-cam adds some kind of post-processing "stabilization" that is trying to keep the phaser centered and steady in the frame, which in this case is not desirable.

    It's the correct thickness! :)
Also it has the engraved line at the bottom indicating the buttplate, which is missing on the Wand.

Other than being a little thicker, what is the appeal?

Where is this replacement grip found, what is the web address and how much does this cost.
I tried searching for the company, but haven't found the correct website for this replacement handle.
Also, how does anyone know for sure what the "correct" or "proper" sized handle for this phaser really is.
The Wand Conpany took both 3D scans and measurements from a last known and confirmed "screen used" prop owned by no other than Star Trek series modelmaker Greg Jein. Perhaps the confirmed " screen used" prop in his possession used slightly smaller diameter brass tubing???
The TOS props were hand made, hand assembled and each prop had its own slight variations.
So, who is to say what handle dimensions are the definitive and "correct" ones.

SD Studios only sold these on ebay, I'm not sure if he will have more or what the exact cost was. You can search on ebay or contact him directly I suppose

The Wand does not have a red jewel.
