In case you didn't know, Ashes of the Fire was composed by Kohta Yamamoto, who has been working very closely with Hiroyuki Sawano (the main composer of all the tracks you've listened in the Suite earlier). You will definitely hear some difference in their style once you hear more from both of them

Fun fact: This was the trailer song for Season 4 of the show, and unlike most that just use an epic song for the trailer, it actually became the main theme for the Season, and is remixed several times throughout it to accommodate for different scenes.
That was the best anime trailer I’ve ever seen, still iconic 2 years later

@@HOPEfullBoi01 No, it's the Main Theme, you can tell it follows the exact same song, just using either different instruments for certain scenes, or something else, but it is the same scene none the less, rematch it.

I'm sad to see no one has mentioned Vogel im Käfig, the first big motif of the show and Sawano's masterpiece in my humble opinion, it hits way harder if you know AOT's plot though. I just discovered your channel btw, you are doing a great job man, keep it up 🔝

Yeah... although it seems like "Footsteps of Doom" is next. Similar to "Ashes on the Fire", a full of hype track for epic action; which is cool, but I'd rather have his opinion on other OSTs that maybe resonate more on an emotional sorta level, like:

Just spent 3 hrs at the AOT exhibition in Singapore this morning. This and some iconic ones were just blaring over the speakers, spine tingling stuff

Just discovered your chanel through the Hiroyuki Sawano suite for Attack on Titan, and now I see this ! Love your reactions, it's good to see appreciation for these OSTs because they really elevate the show. This track wasn't composed by Sawano, but if you want to see more of him, there are other "suite" on his channel from other animes (or other projects like games) he's worked on, I recommend the "Seven Deadly Sins" and the "Guilty Crown", they are amazing but anything Sawano composes is so it doesn't really matter

To me it feels less like the song was written to be just listened to in isolation, but tailor-made to the scenes where it plays over the anime.
It plays during intense combat, concentrating on the central piece, but also cutting away to other places of the battlefield. The favour goes back and forth between the two factions and there are varying degrees of intensity.
One of my favorite pieces from Kohta Yamamoto. He’s such an underrated composer in my opinion. Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto are so perfect for AOT.

I do feel like he's underappreciated. Most of the time when people talk about Attack on Titan OST, 99% would say Sawano. I love Yamamoto's work on this and 86.
@@_simon.s_in 86 was sawano and yamamoto together too. They are great composers. Like a team they complete each other.
I'd say as a music director you have to watch the show.. The way music is used is amazing.. And they also use silence super well too. I've always loved video game composers, it drove me to write a lot of metal back in the day before my wrists started to hate me.. But the Attack on Titan soundtrack is beyond brilliant, its up there with Bloodbourne/Final Fantasy/Far Cry 3 (Blood Dragon) for me.. Could even top all 3.

This composer btw is not the same as the last one, but they did work together for the series before and in fact i believe he actually was IN the suite video, some of the songs that you could go next without being too similar to ashes on the fire are: "call your name" "splinter wolf" "zero eclipse" and "barricades" or "barrichestra" (this one being the orchestral version of barricades), people are going to ask for footsteps of doom but these ones are all bops

Funny enough I never got decent at reading sheet music (I know face, egbdf, etc. but I don't have that sort of instant recognition), but from years of playing rhythm games I can visualize the rhythm and rough shape of music as a rhythm game chart.
I'd like to recommend two tracks from Warframe, "We all lift together" and "Sleeping in the cold below". Excellent percussions and vocal work on both of them and I think you'd enjoy them as well.

In case you didn’t know attack on titan is actually the greatest anime of all time. It’s the GOAT and will be for atleast the next 50 years
I don't know if I'm overanalyzing it but i feel this song narrates a war scene to me. It represents the state of a single soldier in the army. The high parts are those where he is battling and the low parts are where he hits a realization that war leads to nowhere and the opposite side is same as him, but even after the realization he continues to fight. But one thing we all can agree..this music is a MASTERPIECE.
