So happy you gave the mud skippers some more surface space. It just makes this tank even more interesting, balanced and awesome. They look like they appreciate it too 👍🏽
Enjoying this tank! I do prefer when youtubers do a voice over their videos. Sometimes I feel that some youtubers don’t add enough video of their tank on videos.
Like the island addition 🏝 great to see how the skippers love jumping back and forth. I think the puffer needs a super hero name as it looks like some kind of masked vigilante
Love the tank footage and info. Thanks for giving more ideas on what to feed my Mudskippers and Figure 8 puffers. So far my skippers love frozen bloodworms and bio-encapsulated multivitamin freeze dried brine shrimp soaked in garlic guard. My puffers like snails and frozen bloodworms.
Once again awesome video! Thank you for the tip on the island! I absolutely love your videos! I always look forward to the next. It is like waiting on your favorite TV show. I also agree with one of your viewers on the pufferfish name "chemp". Again thank you for all what you do. Very inspirational!
I really appreciate this video when you´re recording just the enclosure and just talk in the background like this, it´s a really good idea in my humble opinion because this paludarium is really unique, beautiful and interesting. The mudskippers are very active and are amazing to just look at. The puffer seems to have a cool personality. Can´t wait for more editions like that island you made in the right corner. I´m really impressed. Well done. 👍🏻
Make sure to give this video a "like". The more likes the video gets, the more it helps this channel and allows me to create more videos like this. If you missed the video on how this paludarium/aquarium was built, Check out this video (warning...I do talk a lot! Awesome setup. Can you do a short video explaining how to setup the “water” for a brackish water tank. Like how much salt to add, filter choices, water change tips for brackish. Thanks
The Puffer might go for the small crickets too. Freeze dried mysis shrimp along with freeze dried krill are good for the puffer as well. Treat the puffer 2-3 times a week with small-medium sized snails. They will eat bloodworms as well live or frozen, but feed those sparingly.
@@TazawaTanks questions lol.. So I’ve had mudskippers several times..Indian mudskippers…I actually ended up successfully breeding them.. (babies died as my tidal system and salinity wasn’t on point) i feel like my salinity was over (my fiddler crabs were breeding at the time and needed higher salinity for eggs to survive) I got 6 Indians a couple months back and my dominant male bullied and killed them all except for one female.. (I have two remaining) the tank has play sand (which they love to borrow in) so my question is: how would you keep the brackish levels but also adjust the salinity levels for breeding? The Fiddlers and muds came from the same mangrove swamp but the babies need salt water and adjust to brackish to survive… how would you go about that? FYI. My tidal system tank was destroyed in my house fire so I’m starting over..Also what’s your salinity levels?
Your channel, your animals, I personally watch to learn from you and see your creations so talk away my friend...people are always going to complain no matter what
Really enjoyed this video, loved it that you talked about your mudskippers tank while showing it. I think his name should be Bumblebee because he looks like one!
Hey Zenzo, FYI I had to separate one Midskipper out from my other three because it was significantly smaller and in my QT tank, the others weren’t letting it eat. I moved it to a 20L by itself then added some guppies because I thought it was too small to eat them. Well, this morning I found a headless guppy on top of it’s above water resting spot. Just wanted to give you a heads up, or heads off in this case. These little guys mouths are bigger than you’d think.
Yo Zenzo! Your the man, that tank is the bomb! Crazy how versatile that foam is. That stuffs great, see what i did there. C'mon, it was corny but it was good lol anyway i love those mudskippers and with the puffer its a flawless pair. That island added so much depth to the tank visually its crazy. I like your style in this video but think a balance of this and your normal style would be cool. Also nice sparkle in/sparkle out with the tittle, that was a nice edit. Thanks for taking the time to put this out for us. Keep on keepin on brother💪
Hey man, don´t read de comments! I find every talking head video very informative and very useful in some cases, so your content is great. People are never happy with anything.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Not all of my videos will be this style. I will continue to also do vlog-type videos. I will be sure to mix in more b-roll though, and do these from time to time.
Your the best youtuber out there u inspired me to make my own channel because of my love for fish too! Thanks so much.you put a great impact in my life and would love to meet you one day-Jase the fish guy
Love the Skipping Skippers!! 💕💕 As far as the build goes I have so many questions.. This is similar to something I want to make for one of my aquariums. I long to have mudskippers but not yet too new at this beautiful hobby. How does the styrofoam underside remain clean in the aquarium? It doesn't deteriorate?
Comedy theme name for the puffer..... Shemp. (Charlie) Chaplin. (Buster) Keaton. TheRick. Groucho. Chico. Harpo. Zeppo. Gummo. Metalmouth (Bond villain). Nice footage... still waiting on the "swimming" part though... you need quicker reflexes... or just point at the water for hours til you catch it... LOL.
Me too! My favourite fish has been the puffer up until now, so it's the perfect tank to me. Unfortunately, we only have freshwater tanks so far and can't extend to another one right now. Just gorgeous!
Awesome video. Surprised they can eat mealworms... mine might still be too small. “People say I talk too much” 🤣🤣 Thank you for all the time you put into your videos.
My man use the font and effects from PowerPoint that i used in like year six history class. Just found the channel tho I rate the more unique content over a lot of fish people, mudskippers for example are mad interesting and may well have to be my first step into salt water aquariums
This is an awesome tank mudskippers and puffer. Love the island idea but will you add some brackish water plants for the puffer so it could have a bit of area to roam? Maybe it will keep it from glassing.
Do the Mudskippers try to make burrows? I noticed on a Nat Geo film that all the MS'ers had a mud tube like burrow. Maybe a different variety. Awesome tank!
I may have missed it, but could you tell me if you are using a filter in this aquarium? If so, could you tell me which kind? Thank you for this video! Very helpful!
FYI Puffers are bored when they pace the glass like that. It needs more decorations/driftwood/plants as a scape for it to keep interested. Add some small caves and arches for it to hide and swim through. Want to break that line of sight with the back glass as they can see into rooms as well as their reflection and think it is another puffer in their territory. Plants along the back wall will help along with more rocks and driftwood covering that surface.Or you can place a black background on the outside back wall of the tank or paint it black or blue. Might even place a small wave maker in the tank to give some differing currents Ghost shrimp will also do quite well with this Figure8 puffer, though it might eat some small ones adult sized ones will be fine.
@@TazawaTanks Java fern will survive in brackish water but it won't thrive. Best to use pieces from a large mother plants in freshwater tanks and replace them every 4-6 months. It is good to place some snails in among the plants so the puffer can seek and destroy them. Malaysian trumpet snails can survive in brackish water too and they burrow into the substrate during the day and come out at night to feed on algae and destritus. keep a smal tank 5G or less of them to add to the puffer's tank for food along with the pond and ramshorn snails.
I have been experimenting with Java fern for about 3 weeks now. I’ve also been testing anacharis because I’ve heard people seeing this in brackish waterways in Florida. As far as the snails, I have a whole bunch living in this tank on the beach side (MTS). I also have an endless supply of them in other tanks.
@@TazawaTanks Awesomeness! sounds like you've got it covered then. I'll mention to my friend about the Anacharis doing well in brackish water. He might add some if he knows about it for his Figure 8 puffer.

You should know your puffer fish Spike or Puff
Enjoying this tank! I do prefer when youtubers do a voice over their videos. Sometimes I feel that some youtubers don’t add enough video of their tank on videos.
The tank is really evolving beautifully! Everyone looks happy and healthy. Hachi is 8 in Japanese, could be a cute name for the puffer.
Fun fact: I actually spoke Japanese more than English when I was a young child.
Soooo.... Just found this video since I just got a new mudskipper... And I made an island!!! Thank you so much!!!
Like the island addition 🏝 great to see how the skippers love jumping back and forth.
I think the puffer needs a super hero name as it looks like some kind of masked vigilante
I love this tank. Mudskippers are such interesting creatures! And watching that puffer eat was pretty metal.
Love the island! It gives the tank a nice, finished look. I don’t mind the voiceover either...
"POP" Is a good name it actually looks like it says that on top of his head on his body from the markings! Very cool fish.
Loving this tank. I do enjoy watching the antics of Larry, Curly and Mo.

I really appreciate that! Thank you!
I really am so happy I found your channel :)
I like how mudskippers are the very middle of the evolutionary process.
What a great aquarium and fish. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

That paludarium looks fantastic!
Nice island addition! I have to give that a try for mine....I think they are tired of my beach
Thanks for the information. I'm going to make a corner island for my skippers.
Such a great habitat for your skippers and puffer. Love the island idea. I say name the puffer Zen.
now I want to do this 75gal rescue tank like this.... I also have a 125 in the line up... love the combo...
Great video, loving the tank. I like Shemp or 8ball
Rorschach
The pattern on his back reminds me of the test/character.
Great tank
This honestly is a dream tank
Thank you! I thought about it for a couple of weeks before building it.
8 ball for the puffer fish. Love the mudskippers names
Awesome set up mate. Mudskippers are everywhere here in Darwin Australia so my tank....

Great video, and you did a good job on the island!
Cue Ball, Bob, Minnesota Fats. The Mud Skippers are adorable.

Nice Zenzo!! You can also make a Meal Worm farm so you do not have to keep buying them! Very Cool Island!
Braddah you know I’m already digging the island cheeehooo!! I need to make one now braddah 🤙🏽🐠🤙🏽

Awesome!
You could do the island thing on all 4 corners to leave more swimming room
i love it good work on it! now i want one lol
Since you have Larry, Moe and Curly, you need Shemp.
best choice.
