What I really wish is when the day comes, Blizzard would do a Warlords of Draenor Reforged instead of just Classic, and they would run all the classic WoD content, but then they would develop and add all (or the most important) pieces of content that were initially promised but never delivered! Imagine going to Farahlon and all the cut locations! This would be the best expansion ever.
This! I really think WoD could have been one of the best expansions if half its content didn't get shafted. It's crazy how much was cut. Farahlon, Shattrath raid, Karabor and Bladespire Citdel as hubs, working trains in Gorgrond, etc.

I’m a big fan of Draenei and am still excited by the idea of seeing Black Temple before it’s fall as an Alliance Hub like it was clearly intended to be, but it ended up being a tour spot for an hour while we just looked around the city, no real significance to the story in the expansion.
I’m still a fan of WoD because PvP was a lot of fun, but the PvE side of things left a lot to be desired! I am an advocate for this idea of a WoD+

It starts at level 10 mainly because it’s using retail’s scaling, abilities, etc; starting in Jade Forest at level 1 I’d imagine would be very funky and probably not that fun considering it’s designed around having at least some tools in your kit.
Yeah, I can't really imagine mop being fun without vengeance/snapshotting and insane amount of utilities classes had compared to past legion expansions
Plus you get the talents available off the bat. Ngl 1-10 is a boring process.

That will be a whole new MMO, WoW-pre-sequel. But I also like to see this happen as well. Love to see the Karazhan when it was actually functioning.
Bottom line is, experiencing to be a unit of War III was my main interest when I started WoW in the late 2004.

Mists is where the game jumped the shark and went from a self aware, but still grounded fantasy setting into goofy territory.
I love the people STILL complaining about Remix Pandaria. We get this obviously new and unique twist on content and it STILL isn't enough.
I'm not up to speed with the complaints, as last night I was recording and editing this video after the announcement. What are the gripes? That this is taking away from retail, SoD, etc?

Most gamers seem excited but there are always that group that just won't be happy.
Why would I want to replay old stuff all over again?
MoP is now one of the most fondly remembered expansions in the game’s history. The fact that even this soft re-release is getting met with censure is criminal.
@@MagCynic I just wish it was all in a retail section instead of choped into mini games outside of it with reword for retail , i know allot of ppls that would maybe even try it out but just dont wona because its not "retail" , i know it mights sound silly but but it is what it is xD , cud be implemented like scenarios or something , but its nice to see them try some different stuff .
As someone that barely plays WoW anymore, it's still nice to see that Blizz is pumping out some little things here and there for the community while everyone is waiting for the next BIG release (whether it be patches or expansions).
I’m a player who started in tbc and this is making me so fucking excited.
What excites me the most about this is getting to experience the raids. I wasn't raiding in MoP so to me this is basically like getting 5 raids in one patch! I hope they do more event like this in the future that let us run older raids. Would love to see WoD and Legion

Perhaps Blizzard is trying to find quick/temporary ways to integrate a more entertaining leveling experience to nullify the dread that is trying to reach max level on retail.
If this is the case Hopefully it also means they're paying attention and will work to revamp retail leveling
Agreed, perhaps this is also a reason to try out this 'remix' mode. Asking a newcomer to level from 1 to 'pre-current expansion' is just too old of a game design in 2020s...
Well Blizzard did post that the characters that you level through this remix can become a permanent character in retail after the event ends.

Yeah totally! Combat system was fun and we felt really powerful. Pve was awesome, and only thing i didnt like was last patch pvp. Healers were too overpowered in arena and near immortal. Anyways, I was maining lock back then, and i remember my chaos bolts were hitting not like a train, but like a god damn space rocket. It would chunk enemies so hard, hitting for literal millions of damage..
level 10 because otherwise you would have to do a starting zone which Blizzard doesn't want you to do. They want you to focus just on the MoP experience.
This seems like a really cool idea! I loved MoP and would love to experience it with a new twist! My only complaint is the level scaling. Level scaling kills the feeling of world progression and makes a zone you did 15 levels ago the same as the zone you’re doing right now
Regardless of the content's "vibe" (not everything has to be for everybody everywhere all at once), I hope even burnt out player can acknowledge that this is a full on barrel roll in the right direction. We've not ever been given this many goodies during "downtime", and if the Panderstorm thing ain't for you, don't fear, the next one might be because apparently Microsoft is lighting some fires under some asses.
Pre-Microsoft Blizzard would have taken 4 years to invent the Panda thing after releasing Plunderstorm.
This is awesome! Like SoD but without the horrible classic combat.
Best part of SoD is Raiding during leveling and Pandaria had amazing raids, so I can't wait.
I'm so looking forward to this! MOP had a great story to it and getting the chance to go through it at seemingly a decent leveling pace sounds awesome

As someone who started in late MoP and missed out so much of it, I'm excited for this and to get a chance to play it from the start.
Nixxiom, if you didn't play MoP, you missed out. It never appealed to me when it was announced, but it is easily the most FUN expansion ever. Cozier than wrath even.
Cogwheel was the engineering socket type back when Mists of Pandaria was live content for anyone that is wondering
I think level ten so you can have your class spec.
Not only that, 10 because they want you to experience only MoP using a modified version of Chromie time leveling.
You will start as the same level as heroic class and allied race, so no head start either.
MoP was my favorite expansion so I am very excited for this. I've been bored with WoW lately so this is finally something I'm looking forward to. It's the familiar content I loved & want to reexperience but with new stuff to make it a new experience, like SoD.
Everyone seems pleasantly surprised by MoP's return. Honestly, it sounds like a fun time!

They should try alternate timelines. I think people would love to see what would happen or wouldn't happen if the timeline was different.
I am telling you they had a game Jam said go for it. And this is the extra content we get. It’s awesome it allows for so many opportunities for people.

@@Thrall966 10mins is sometimes the longest these games see the daylight. These games are lucky they even saw production. And they reeeeeeeeeeeek of I was put together in a week. Bindings are all over the place menus are sloppily put together. And the game shows a huge amount of unbalancing. It’s beautiful
Okay here goes nothing, just a wild thought I got and I don't even know if it's technologically possible.
For me the final version of Wow could look like this :
-WoW retail : current expansion
-WoW classic : vanilla-Cata
- WoW remix : mist-second to last expansion with remix concept of leveling in the new zone AND remastered, improved versions of crappy ideas Blizzard had during the expansion (garrisons, torghast, chores...)
Now the weird thing. I think we all agree having so much versions is going to split up the community. So instead of having multiple servers for each expansion how about a few megaservers where you can select a level template like in beta and but for expansions and your character is cloned for each expansion.
For example I have a human warrior (very original) on MoP remix then I can select the WoD template and my same character is in WoD with the same gear that I have from MoP then I can try out WoD content, get WoD gear but then if I want to go back to MoP I can select it and my character has the MoP gear that I previously had.
Wow at this point after I read my comment I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore, it's so far-fetched but it'd be pretty cool.
Does this come out Friday on the PTR? (April 12th)
As someone who recently played about a year on a MoP p-server, I honestly think a lot of people are going to have fun with this.
I just really wish they were going with 5.4 classes, one of the best aspects of Mists.

I love mop despite never having a chance to play it other than running through in retail(started in BfA..) But that's not the same experience)
The only gripe I have at all with this event is the limited time aspect. I do appreciate WoW doing this stuff to flesh out and revive the older content that's been sitting there collecting dust. But I do hope theae experimentations they have been doing lead to more evergreen versions of this type of stuff. As that atleast will revive the old content while not pushing out a new classic expac version every 2 yrs or less.
A side thought is it'd be awesome if they use a method like this for each expansion eventually leading to each expansion being rebuilt/updated for the long term.

I did not play MOP, i started in BFA. So for me this feels like an amazing way to play MOP. And as a collector this will be epic! Mounts, transmogs and i really want that murloc costume🎉

Gimme another shot at that Kor’kron Warwolf. I was fighting Garrosh until the servers booted me off for the Warlords prepatch, that mount is my white whale.
Really excited, MoP was probably my favorite expansion and I’m looking forward to playing with friends this time.
They already confirmed they’re not bringing back anything removed. Only things that are coming back is the ability to get the legendary cloak transmogs and access to Ordos but they’re not bringing back the legendary cloak quest line

MoP classic (likely) will still happen, this doesn't impact that at all. It's an entirely separate mode
Apologies if I'm missing something, and perhaps someone can help me out here... How exactly will this be different to the Chromie time walking option that's available where you can level a character from 10 to 60 through Pandaria (or any zone/expansion) already?
One way is that this is a funnel. The people who interact with this will all be on the same continent. Second, it goes to 70 and instead of booting you out to new content against your will, you can do endgame content the its based on. Third you will have easier access to old transmogs, access to new mount colors and other tmog recolors, and it modernizes the leveling experience with the gear upgrade system it is going to have. Might even get extra traders tender from it like plunderstorm, but that's speculation on my part.
I like the creativity and I love collecting junk so the mounts and transmog are a big plus for me, def gonna check it out
As I understand it, it's going to be like Plunerstorm, you start with a fresh character, level 10, and you do the quests and such, picking up talent abilities along the way. No talent trees. When you get to 70 or when the event is over, you can take your character and all the loot into retail. I'm interested to see how this works, especially if I have to delete established lowbies in my huge roster of characters to keep that one. But, I loved Pandaria and I can't wait for it.

Maybe it's to see if it's interesting to do a Mist of Pandaria Classic depending of the number of people who will try this one ?
I really hope they add this for all past expansions. Make it part of a revamped Chromie Time.
I startet to get in retail with dragonflight and i love it. Will level a pala and hype for the level event because i only have 2 level 70.
I do hope that if this turns out to be a great hit that they do this for other expacs too

This is a side thing thats completely optional, and isnt even the entirety of 10.2.7, but people are acting like Blizzard is just ignoring retail and focusing on side-stuff lol.

Man! I've been taking a break from WoW. I decided to come back for war within. But now i gotta come back for this remix.

These patches have been breaking away from the update cycle we've all been so used to and quite frankly I'm all for it.
So far it looks good through I am disappointed there is no wrathion questchain or original vale story.

Just remembered what Cogwheel sockets were, they are an engineering socket, that gave a ton of utility or bonus secondary stats like haste, ap, and etc. but the metagem ones are indeed new, and it has me intrigued with what they are going to do with this event. plunderstorm, was ehm alr for some pvp dopamine, or if you like to just die to the storm for fast renown farming.
I'd say they should continue to do stuff to keep us entertained, to put the Entertainment back into Blizzard Entertainment, naysayers beware and find other stuff if it's not for you.
I think this is great. Blizz created some great content over the years and what wow needs is a breath of fresh air. New ways of playing existing content isnt a bad thing when you think about how much existing content their already is.
i LOVE this move by Blizzard, 2 Decades of content almost and it is mostly left to be solo'd and to collect dust, much like Pop Figures. but now we can see old expansions remixed to give us new rewards, and just let us be overpowered. i wanna see them do this for WoD, Legion and even Wrath in the future.
I know this is late but I just want to say that now is the best time to play WoW. We have never been this spoiled for choice on how to play. Classic vanilla. Hardcore. WOTLK Classic. Seasons of discovery. Season 4 of dragonflight. Plunderstorm and soon to be Remix. I cant decide what to play when i sit down at my pc. A GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE BTW. I hope the remix thing comes back for other expansions

I didn't hear you mention that the character you get to level 70 will carry over to the war within for you to continue with the main game
MoP Was my favorite Xpack for Lock PVP. Kil' Jaeden's Cunning was the best thing to have EVER happened to Warlocks in the game, and they took it away because melee cried forever because they could no longer just stand in place and pummel a lock, instead they got kited for days and nuked by any good warlock as they'd just slow, fear, chaos, all while running away at full throttle. By far better than any gateway or tele circle ever. then they made it a CD, then they nerfed that CD, then they removed it :( i would've hit 2k in RBG's that last season had it not been for the KJC nerfs. Still sat bases raining green fire while people ran up, targeted me then ran away and never even tried. lol
I was really looking forward to coming back to the game and playing this, until I realized that this mode would be with the retail class designs, and not the MoP era class designs.
I was looking really forward to be able to play disc priest again.
I liek what Blizz has been doing recently, DF was awesome, can't wait to try WW, Plunderstorm.....yeeeeeah not my kinda thing BUT its interesting and this MoP Remix sounds like so much fun ^^

WW will release in this year and it will be the main thing. Same as Cata Classic.
Once those 'main' things release, what will happen to those 'sidekick' modes?

Also, this is my unpopular opinion but I would like to see this kind of remix for WoD. Yeah, I really liked that base building stuff...

😮 as someone who was busy fucking their life up with alcohol and drugs I missed all of legion, I hope this is a big enough hit they bring this feature out with the Legion expansion.
MOP was one of my favorite Expac's.
Imagine playing xpacs with the talent system from vanilla through WotLK. Which would be more of a horizontal progression.
Mop was my favorite expansion. Timeless Isle was so good

Yeah, i like MOP. Its so nostalgic.. Zones are actually very gorgeous and good looking compared to even modern standards.

This seems like a good way to get classic players to try retail and give retail players some nostalgia to maybe try classic. For someone who's been super looking forward to MoP classic, I won't be playing this. I can wait until I get the version that's going to let me fully experience the expansion again and not get burnt out on the zones and dungeons before it even releases.

Panda, shmanda. Just give me a Draenor remix for tgat epic music and scenes, and then Legion for sweet bear forms from the Mage tower
That timerunners advantage feels like a borrowed power thing. Idk though if it’s a limited time event will a system like that even matter?
Since its tied to an expansion i could see this returning for other expacs, or even being a tech demo for chromie time update.
I like that they are trying new things but i dont know , its separated from retail "main" caracters/story with reword that will be implementad into retail if im not wrong ? Im glad for those that enjoy playing with alts and new caracters but i kinda like to build upon my "main" character , but then again thats my problem xD . As i said grate they are doing more stuff that are outside of confort zone but its not something that would make me wona try it just for rewords , wish all that try it out to have fun :)

It Mists of Pandaria God Mode, you start at lvl 10 intil you become a god at the end. When the mode end you give up your god power to return to Azeroth to save her soul or you keep some of the god power like the gear and gems.

I don't play WoW these days but a zany MoP with lower risks and new variety of items and abilities is an appealing proposition, if only for nostalgia and kicks. Low commitment, low stress way to play. Makes me tempted to renew for a month, which is what it's all about for Blizzard right now.

Perhaps they are testing the waters for MoP classic? It's definitely interesting and blizzard is just in full blown experimental mode now lol I hope with the faster pace of Cata that we will actually have time to do all of these things rather than more FOMO.
These last few months have been confusing to me. Did Blizzard just run out of Dragonflight content or did they not plan the end of the expansion well? Where's the lead-in to the War Within? Is that going to take place in 10.2.7? Though I really enjoyed MOP, are they doing this because the assets are already there and things like this require much less resources than an actual patch that pertains to the current story? And does this kill any MOP classic?
Can we get the dance studio though?

I wonder if this is a sort of confirmation that classic will not go to MoP. they already announced Dragonsoul in Jan of 2025, so in a yearish we would be due for MoP and doing like this would have been too recent in our memory to want to play MoP again.
