Altaholic described me pretty well, even down to the Paladin as fav class. I even have multiple max-level palies, but the goal is always to get every class to max, which I do for every single expansion.
I have at least two max in every class because I like to play different races with different backgrounds and I come up with ideas that can be used only with a new character because my already-made characters have their own back stories. 😃 And yes, I would think of a name (usually something comical) and the strong urge comes over me to create a new character with that name.

I just started plating wow this year .I don’t like pvp but I do all the related quests. I enjoy doing some of all the content. I think your video is very amusing. I must say that most everyone has been very nice.
I feel called out on at least four of these. (RPer, Raider, the ahem... Mutant. The Altaholic, and the one where you fight for faction, though I do stuff on both factions.) As a roleplayer, I got into RP because leveling up (then classic/TBC) was fricken hard, and we didn't have WoWhead or the quest guides on the map, having to rely on the quest texts to tell us where to go and figure things out. ADHD brain got impatient, so decided to just started to play pretend. Doing stuff with friends was what brought me back into the game, and I had forged a friendship in a game about war far faster than any other game, and so it's hard to let go of something like this. Additionally I only got into PvP because leveling was hard. Was stuck at level 36 for the longest time cuz I never did anything else lol 😂
I am afraid I must admit that at this point in my life I am the raider type (well, mostly m+ guy tbh cuz no guild atm, my last one went to horde...), and also, a panda :D. Great video man! Glad to see you're back to doing these kinds of videos. They are my favourite :D
I do love to quest, it's my favorite time of this game. I love the adventure side of a new area and spending hours and days discovering. But that's just me haha. I'm definitely an altaholic. I have 15 warriors, 7 paladins, list goes on and on. I've deleted so many toons in the past expansions.
This video inspired me. Definitely making my Pandaren Monk my dedicated Trade Troll Alt. He was my "helpful vet for new players alt", but the new players needing help are few and far between these days.
@@semiramisubw4864 It should be beyond embarrassing, but people just don't seem to care. 8:58 *[raises hand]* Yep. It's the gear grind, btw, for me at least. Back in lich king I raid geared 8 toons, and every one them got their _starter set_ via farming random heroics for emblems and rep grinding welfare epics.... including my defense capping blood dk tank before all tanks had their own version of survival of the fittest. I have *done* - all the gear grinding - I ever intend to *do.* In any any MMO, ever again. All there is, at level cap, is gear grinding for pvp or raids... I'm good. People like me are *why* the various "challenges" came into being. They started as ways to play the game, and challenge ourselves, *rather than* gear grinding at level cap. Pre-shadowlands level squish I once made a completely free-to-play account just so I could test whether or not it was possible to twink a level 19 character in spite of all the restrictions, spoiler, it was. No mailbox, no auction house, no trading, gold capped at 10g, can only use what items drop from mobs or what I can manufacture. I had to figure out how to earn 10g, without hitting lvl 20: in order to xp cap at 19. I figured out I could lvl skinning and leatherworking, and sell just to vendor - and be able to hit the 10g I needed purely by vendoring, without going over lvl 19. Then proceed to do dungeons until I had all the best pieces of gear available at 19. It was hell to complete full 5 piece sets of leather or mail "Fang" armor, btw. On my Drood and Shammy both I had to solo wailing caverns for days on end for the gloves to drop, since they're a random drop. Then, since that wasn't hard enough, I then did it again using just skinning, tailoring and cooking. Which was really hard since only humanoid mobs drop cloth, and with the zone scaling there was a very narrow margin of error to manufacture and vendor enough items to earn 10g before lvling past 19. After that - since, again, that wasn't hard enough: I decided to do all the quests in all the zones I had access to at lvl 20, for all the different reps of that faction, and then pick up tabards to earn rep in endless dungeons: and I earned the title Ambassador - on a completely f2p account. The imgur location is a slash geHUeoA. You can see my ambassador title, my reputation section of character sheet and I have my mailbox open to prove it's a f2p account. Altoholics and challenge mode players like me really love the game: we just find the nonstop gear grind at lvl cap to be really - *boring.* Or tedious, annoying and boring in my case. I'm perfectly content to just jog on and find my own way to have fun in the game, rather than gear grinding at lvl cap. Well, was anyway, I went back to playing wow during bfa and into shadowlands: and.... I no longer play wow, at all. I just don't like it anymore, I've been playing swtor. [shrug]
You forgot “the collector.” The one that will spend endless hours on Falcosaur quests to boost their mount collection and running the same raids over and over again for “appearance” sets…. 🍺
I only had 2 of the same class typically because I had Alliance and Horde characters. I did have a couple of same class due to not wanting to change gear or specs though.
Im kind of a cyto-amalgamation of most of these. Sometimes more of one than the rest. But if i had to pick one dominant personality it would have to be the Altaholic. Only, i enjoy group play, i enjoy pvp when not going against a competitive premade group and Pallys arent my favorite class. Its uncanny how spot on these assessments are. Peculiar.
So...considering you "what does your class says about you" and "what your race says about you" combined with this. I'm a Alt-oholic RPer Worgen Feral Druid, not the guild master, but "hand of the king" basically. and one of my alts is the "Guild Banker" basicaly the guy who cleans all the trash people drops on the dump-chest that is the Vault XD In respect to my "joy" of alts. I like to have at least one character of each race and each class. I have a few repeat races ofcourse, but those are because I like to give them custom RP backstories. But I also love to join any Raid or dungeon runs, or help new players with what ever they might need. (I main tauren on Horde. So according to your race video, it shows why I like helping newcomers) I also am a "transmog collector" (you missed this one), similar to the RolPlayer, but I just LOVE to have a "trophy" collection of characters, high Lv mainly becaise I need the Lv for the custom transmog. I don't want a OP look, many of them are story transmogs. I also like it that each of my 50 alts use their own Mount. But my biggest Sin, is that I support a UA-camr/streamer on his Patreon, in the hopes I could be part of one of his machinema videos. but never got the chance to be part of one -and yet, I still support this "filthy casual" occasionally when ever I can or have the spare money ;)
Hey Nixxiom, after countless days, I finally watched one of your videos with full joy. I was tired of hearing negative comments that you repeat in every single video. This type of fresh, positive and fun content is what I would like to see from you and I think you're the best at doing tier lists/machinimas about wow. I am really really happy that you finally decided to do what you do best again!
You forgot the most important one, The good old sigma player: He dominates Epic BG's he can carry in LFR, guilds are whispering him to join their guild, he ignores it and queues up for another BG and occasionally clears a raid in HC or first 3 bosses in Mythic.
I made a Tauren Druid called Mudds. He has the shaggy hair over eyes face with a little flower and has Guardian spec. Roleplaying him as a gentle giant bro!
My main realm is Sisters of Elune, I am so damn glad that blizzard fixed the goldshire situation. I can't tell you how many times I'm running through goldshire just trying to pass through on my worgen when somebody started trying to pet me! I started in late mop and for a year or more I decided to just start skipping goldshire entirely on my alliance characters and missing out on the ton of experience
the part about the guildmaster inv'ing some girl in to the guild and hooking up with her is so fucking true i've seen it so many times over the years its not even funny anymore xD
Altaholic that's me , wow addiction never truly leaves it calls back to you. Always... I'm also a pve player but I did get invincible after 8 months of farming on 5 alts every week :)
I resemble altoholic, (as I’m looking at my login screen and see two lvl 70s, 3 lvl 60s, 4 lvl 50s, and 3 sub lvl 30s, with more to scroll down too, and other realms with more toons), but I identify more as one who was not mentioned: the collector. The reason I have multiple alts. To run old raids solo multiple times a week in an attempt to collect the pets, mounts, and mogs. In order to collect the mogs, the collector must have at least four different classes to have access to all Armour types. I do, however, strongly favour Deathknight Druid, and Evoker. I will say I do enjoy leveling, though. And although I don’t pvp, I do occasionally stream on twitch to 0-3 viewers (usually 0), although I rarely ever advertise it, and never in trade chat (which I actually ignore). And I fully admit my content isn’t really good.
Oddly, I feel like a bit of most of these types of players. I'm an altaholic(but actually do endgame content on my chars and don't mind alot of action keys/abillities), I am not a role player per say(but I do self insert a lil/ enjoy a bit of RP/lore), I do endgame pvp and endgame pve(depends on the character/class), I love transmogs, I like questing, doing dungeons, battlegrounds, rare/treasure hunting, collecting stuff, just exploring, sometimes chatting, sometimes enjoy just being solo, and so on, the list of mixed bits and pieces from the different types of players would go, so I'll stop there. Id describe me as the type of player who likes to just enjoy all/every aspect of WoW. Funny vid tho lol.😂
I was the Altaholic and then discovered Ascension. Now I got a Main that I can level again and again and I dont have to worry that i get bored with the Class 😁
You forgot capt. Nostalgia! You know those guys that no matter what you're doing it goes back to some story that always begins with "back in vanilla (or w/e is his expac of the day is that day)"....
I don't think I have been so offended in a while. It's great, and I love it! :D I am a reformed altholic, and I used to be very sick, but now I do raids, occasional PvP and I hate pandas too, like a normal WoW player.
I love to annoy. My gnome takes his Noodle cart (from the Tillers in Pandaria) to the top of Orgrimmar. I make noodles and dance around. It takes about 5 minutes to die .
I do not have 5 max level paladins, I have 4 thank you very much. Now if you had said 5 max level mages, then you'd be correct. Otherwise pretty damn spot on for us altoholics. Loved it!
I've been playing wow for 16 years and for some reason I still celebrate when my toon gets his first pair of shoulders. Only on classic /tbc/lk tho, since in the following exp you replace the gear so quickly idm anymore. Just numbers on the screen..
so the commitment issues guy is deff me but with a twist? i actually do like the end game and havent really tried the pvp. ive got 3 maxed characters and 4 more characters that are within 10 lvls of max. my reasoning is well professions. i wanna be the do it all guy that can adapt to any situation. ofc i know a few years down the line and all these characters are gonna be lvl 30 again but still i find it fun. not to mention im becoming very well informed on other classes in the process.
Commitment issues is me in any game with character creation tbh 😅 its more of an addiction to creating more and more unique characters with their own themes
im they player who takes the game as it is, enjoying all aspects of the game till the end, be it pvp, pve, collecting you name it. Not the worst not the best but somewhere in between at everything i do
You forgot the Soloist - introverts/loners/shut-ins whether inside or outside the game... they avoid guilds, if in a guild they rarely speak or participate in anything, avoiding people. They can be polite, even helpful to others, almost randomly, but then flee any entanglement that might turn permanent. They learn to solo dungeons and elites, and only very-very reluctantly ever join a pug... The philosophy is simple - succeed or fail, they answer only to themselves, no responsibility other than to themselves. Free, but painfully lonely, shy/social-phobics, they want to find acceptance and belonging, but flee (even change names and realms) when they start to find it - knowing that to be known, is to be rejected or fail to meet expectations (again, rejected).
I have a new one "Casual Otome Fan" WoW Player. I play mostly as handsome, sexy Male elf characters. Has created WoW toons based on male characters from their favorite Otome game and/or anime. I even renamed my Elf DK main to my favorite character Camus. Plays Otome games like Uta no Prince-sama ShiningLive and Code:Realize, and plays other games Genshin Impact and/or Animal Crossing New Horizons (I would love WoW version of it). I have quite a few characters leveled...but a lot I am working on. I have the basic understanding of how to play WOW.....I tried PVP and was no good at it. So I stick to PVE. Doesn't mind grouping with people to play, but barely plays because of Work and Life events.... But still enjoys play when she does. Looking forward to play with DKs in Wrath Classic. Enjoys watching UA-cam videos from her favorite WOWtubers.
I definitely have an alt problem. I have around 80 toons, and a bunch of them are priests. I NEED to have each combination of race/priest and now with the new xpac, literally every race can have a priest. Oh god...
I definitely fall into the altaholic category. Haven't done any endgame content in Shadowlands, instead using that time to get every class to max level. Even having some duplicate classes at max level. My total number of max level toons is 16. Save me.
So, how accurate was I with describing you as a player?

[shrug]
The Level 58 Death Knight returns! And it is glorious! :D
Nixxion my family’s so poor we have to use old toilets as seats. I have several Hemorrhoids that cause massive blood stream to leak down my leg.
Make sure your name your hemorrhoids. Gives them personality.
Your fam has toilets?
"big shmuck chuckle fuck" got me dyin XD
You forgot “the collector.” The one that will spend endless hours on Falcosaur quests to boost their mount collection and running the same raids over and over again for “appearance” sets…. 🍺
you forgot THE COLLECTOR:
He doasnt care about the raid team but only the mounts pets and every achivment its avelable in the game...
Absolutely on board with using Pandas as scapegoats.
I only had 2 of the same class typically because I had Alliance and Horde characters. I did have a couple of same class due to not wanting to change gear or specs though.
I agree with your statement about pandaren but don't forget about the Vulpera. those 2 are the harbinger of evil and destruction!
Peculiar.
You got to love the sneaky way of putting Project Ascensions; Character Creation screen in at 00:15
Sneaky Sneaky Nixxiom
2:06 got me dying laughing seeing the little angry one jittering with rage XD
reminds me of keemstar back in the day
So...considering you "what does your class says about you" and "what your race says about you" combined with this.
I'm a Alt-oholic RPer Worgen Feral Druid, not the guild master, but "hand of the king" basically. and one of my alts is the "Guild Banker" basicaly the guy who cleans all the trash people drops on the dump-chest that is the Vault XD
In respect to my "joy" of alts. I like to have at least one character of each race and each class. I have a few repeat races ofcourse, but those are because I like to give them custom RP backstories.
But I also love to join any Raid or dungeon runs, or help new players with what ever they might need. (I main tauren on Horde. So according to your race video, it shows why I like helping newcomers)
I also am a "transmog collector" (you missed this one), similar to the RolPlayer, but I just LOVE to have a "trophy" collection of characters, high Lv mainly becaise I need the Lv for the custom transmog. I don't want a OP look, many of them are story transmogs. I also like it that each of my 50 alts use their own Mount.
But my biggest Sin, is that I support a UA-camr/streamer on his Patreon, in the hopes I could be part of one of his machinema videos. but never got the chance to be part of one
-and yet, I still support this "filthy casual" occasionally when ever I can or have the spare money ;)
I felt underrepresented but then the Altaholic came up and now I feel attacked instead, help! 🤣🤣🤣
There are exceptions to some of these :p. Like my guild master who attends every raid and often does keys and PvP to help other players
You forgot the most important one, The good old sigma player:
He dominates Epic BG's he can carry in LFR, guilds are whispering him to join their guild, he ignores it and queues up for another BG and occasionally clears a raid in HC or first 3 bosses in Mythic.
3:06 wait a minute ... sabaton gaming chair? FOR THE GRACE FOR THE MIGHT OF OUR LORD i need it
Love the split second shot of SWG Mos Eisley cantina
"He hates WoWs endgame, and yet he loves WoW"... "He doesn't do dungeons because he prefers never to speak to anybody"... Too real
8:20 "big shmuck chuckle f-" if i came across a wow streamer with that name, i'd definitely subscribe
I miss level 58 death Knight. Such a great character
I made a Tauren Druid called Mudds. He has the shaggy hair over eyes face with a little flower and has Guardian spec.
Roleplaying him as a gentle giant bro!
Its so wholesome to see level 58 DK again
I was really sceptical about MoP when it was announced, but since it launched I race changed my main and now exclusively play pandaren characters.
I'm three. This was very accurate. While the invincible bit doesn't hit home for me personally the time investment and isolation did.
6:35 wow wow wow, my boy is spitting fire right there :))
Lol "Random Navy Seal guy no one's heard of." Jocko Willick...you've been called out son!
Number 1 and 3 for me )) Mainly play Wow for lore (red all books except last two) and almost exclusively solo
the part about the guildmaster inv'ing some girl in to the guild and hooking up with her is so fucking true i've seen it so many times over the years its not even funny anymore xD
You are right about us pandaren players. If you ever want to learn more about their masterplan, read a book called "The Elder Protocols of Pandaria"
That Extreme Ownership reference for the Guild leader. ROFL
Altaholic that's me , wow addiction never truly leaves it calls back to you. Always...
I'm also a pve player but I did get invincible after 8 months of farming on 5 alts every week :)
I did the thing with the PvP rock music when I was younger, but I don't do it anymore. Now I do it with trance music instead.
My math teacher was one who played WoW not sure what she did exactly but it was always intriguing
You only missed "the ganker"
I saw that Conquest of Azeroth clip in the intro ;)
Damn straight we burned down Teldrassil. I'll see you in the arena!
I used to sometimes skip on a stronger item while leveling because my lower level one looks better lol
I really liked the snippets of machinima throughout the vid
0:17 I see u had a look at Ascension's CoA.
Here's hoping to get a video on that.
As someone with a Pandaren main (and several Panda alts) I can confirm that I did burn Teldrassil (and I got an awesome mount for doing so)!
I don't think I have been so offended in a while. It's great, and I love it! :D
I am a reformed altholic, and I used to be very sick, but now I do raids, occasional PvP and I hate pandas too, like a normal WoW player.
Why is it that Asmongold fits everyone of these scenarios. Especially guild Master.
I used to be the Altoholic… oh gosh, that was so addicting! But I’m finally recovered now 😂
I was our guilds care bear back in the day. I would run lowbies through instances.
Loved it!
Can’t wait for BALDY’s reaction to this video
Damn that raider one def called out myself lol
Nah bro i feel called out with Altaholic, I get to level 30 and feel the pull of a different class almost instantly 😂
Been wanting to start a new toon and panda sounds great thanks for the inspiration!
im they player who takes the game as it is, enjoying all aspects of the game till the end, be it pvp, pve, collecting you name it. Not the worst not the best but somewhere in between at everything i do
LEVEL 58 DEATH KNIGHT
*Casually dropping in a reference to a much better universe* - - - Emperor is pleased
I'm #1, 3, 4, 7 and 9. I have druids of the maximum level of many races, all in the same spec.
I love seeing this type of content again....🤘🏼
1:15 is the most epic thing I've ever seen come out of WoW.
I agree, and I understand the reference
I definitely have an alt problem. I have around 80 toons, and a bunch of them are priests. I NEED to have each combination of race/priest and now with the new xpac, literally every race can have a priest. Oh god...
yeah, I could be considered an altaholic....but i have multiple classes, and I love dungeons :)
I laughed a little to hard at “That’s a Warhammer 40k reference”
There was some serious 'pandaring' for that last one.
I definitely fall into the altaholic category. Haven't done any endgame content in Shadowlands, instead using that time to get every class to max level. Even having some duplicate classes at max level. My total number of max level toons is 16. Save me.
I feel called out on so many levels :X
No mention of gold goblins. The fact I'm a Pandaren monk main altoholic can safely be hidden behind that mountain of gold I sleep on.
Videos like this make me belief wow still has a soul.
I save my inner trade chat troll for the barrens chat on classic.
I haven't wondered about that for mmm somewhere around 8 years I think.
