Man, it hurts ... but I love this.❤️ Rip Gary. Some where in heaven there's a mean Funk Band.
Man...this is serious History. Took years to find live version of this jam. These were the early days of the P Funk. GLORIOUS.
Studying the backing vocalist. I love Lynn's low-key potency on one side of the stage, then the group of ladies with their own animation and delivery on the other side. I love this.
Jasmin Lloyd on the one baby
Jasmin Lloyd I love it all.so
🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿 If NWA , Wu Tang, Ray Charles , James Brown, etc. can have biographical movies, it’s time for the PFunk to get on the screen.
The PFunk needs a major movie and musical.
Absolutely!!!
Bro For Real! It's Pass Do And If They Do Make A Movie On Them Call It The ONE !
Should Spike Lee do it ?
No....Spike ain't this kinda funk. Director who did Get Out.
@@jasonector9564 No. I am a Spike fan in general, but he will inject his own narrative and overshadow the message.
I see how Pedro Bell was drawing them wild-Ass album covers! That's just how they LOOKED!
Lol!!! It wasn't a dream.
Once you've witnessed the P-Funk experience live in concert, it's never forgotten. Timeless!
Got to love those raspy, take you to church.. in yo face...smoking vocals of the late great Starchild Garry shider! and boy... did he work that New Jersey audience... You have to get it on... or take your dead ass home! when this brother sings he gives you chills. now his son Garrett is carrying the torch he's got a great voice as well. #Pfunk4life😀✌👍👍
Yep, really appreciate the one million ad breaks in the middle of the songs. Class act.
The vocal arrangements are on point!
"I Got A Thing, You Got A Thing" is one of the first records I ever owned. My local radio station had a trivia contest and the prize was a stack of promotional 45s that they had gotten from record companies. One of the 45s was "I Got A Thing, You Got A Thing" backed by a song called "Fish And Chips". I had never heard of Funkadelic and my mind was instantly blown. Been a fan ever since. BTW, the trivia question was, "How many grooves are on an LP?" One continuous groove on each side.
Is that Junie Morrison on the keyboard wearing the hoodie? Peace.
yes it is.
Sholl is!
It is so ignorant to put a commercial in the middle of a song are you kidding me
4 minutes of awesome funk. 17 minutes of guilt tripping the residents of Passaic, NJ.
Garrys just doing his job lol
Gary and George playing good cop bad cop this at this show
One of the Original "Hype Men" 😉 👍
It was called the Antitour. I saw the tour at NC A & T homecoming in Greensboro, NC. Started at 10 pm and went on until 2:30 am. I’ve seen pfunk many times but this may have been at their best.
It's like I can't fit my t shirts from the 70s concert, so my youngest son wears them. I then proudly say teach them.
I was born in the wrong era.
Same
GARRY "STARRCHILE" SHIDER REST IN P!

P Funk
"Who's says a funk band can't play Rock" was the jam that put me through the 70's. Was my fight song.
GREAT band GREAT concert!! TWO THUMBS UP!!..anyone know what the name of the back up lady singer that in the minute (20:32) someone from the audience throws to her a long sleeve white sweater?
If you aint gunna get it on, take yo dead ass home...
If you aint gunna get it on, take yo dead ass home...
If you aint gunna get it on, take yo dead ass home... (repeat)
Truly a mesmerizing performance
I loved the milant dress...we didn't follow the rules, we made them! Rip Diaper Man .
Is it only me that hears bits in pieces of where Prince got a lot of his ideas
Without shuggie otis and funkadelic, parliament and parliament funkadelic there would be no prince
Play the beginning of this video, then play Prince's "Head." He Mos Def copped more than a groove or two
You always wanted,& still do to dance.
That was their purpose..for people to have a f u n k I n good time..70's were the best of times. These guys are still around, some are in the next world.☮♥️
Gary had that “thing” I was a baby when this was out . And I could still feel that “ thing”
What ever mood enchanting substance they were on in making and performing this music bleeds through to your listening and viewing experience. This shit is intoxicating and I feel cosmically high ingesting this through my ear buds. I don’t even care whose looking me in this house I just feel good. All praises to the P FUNK LORDS🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
