Great video! Rest in piece to that lady though. If she knew that she was standing too close to the track she would’ve lived. My heart goes out to her family and to the railfans who witnessed the tragedy.
The second to last shot was very nice as well, I like the foreground grass and thistles contrasting the locomotive. At about the 5 min mark, the sequence filmed is really good, it felt like it belonged in a train scene of an old movie. (with professional cameramen and multiple takes)
And she won’t be back until next year. As expected, Ed and the crew are now in full overdrive mode to get 4014 completely assembled for May 10 of next year. The anniversary of the golden spike.
In North America it’s the railroad law to blow it 4 times with 2 longs, a short, and a long, North America relies on what are known as whistle codes, while in other countries whistle codes don’t exists. The reason for whistle codes is because of many crossings and tracks that are not fenced in.
