Why, thank you! I don't do the straight on my head often because it takes so much longer, but I love the feel when I'm done. It seems to stay smoother for longer.
Breyton Lemons Totally up to you, man. If you feel you look good bald, go for it. You're a little on the young side that I'd encourage you to do it - unless you're already losing your hair.
You saved my life!!! Just started lining up my beard with a straight razor and have been doing the sides and top of my head but scared to do the back so would use mach 3 for the back. Thanks for the vid man.
You look good bald. Good shape head. Some guys look good bald and some don't. Depends on the form of your head. You should leave the beard. Usually bald guys look good with facial hair. Just trim it.
Great shave on your head. It is getting easier for me to do shaves on my head with a straight. It just takes practice and time. I like using a Shavette too. Definitely a real blade there. Lol. Have a great day and keep on shaving! Roger - The Shave Lion
U can fold the entire blade handle and then move slow catching litle at a time. Like i do which has helped me not to cut my ears and can reach all the tricky spot. 🙂👍
+Fernando Arjona People usually refer to water with a lot of natural mineral content as "hard water." When the content is high, it makes it a bit more difficult to develop a good lather because of the way the minerals interact with the ingredients of the soap. The best lather is usually acquired with distilled water, which is virtually free of any minerals. Water softeners help to add salt (and other minerals) that help to counterbalance the "hard" minerals.
Well that would imply that you're getting a closer shave with a straight razor, which I find unlikely considering the cartridges have 3, 4, or 5 blades vs. the 1 of the straight razor.
Compared to cartridges, you're going to have a hard time getting a longer-lasting shave with a straight razor. However, most who shave with a straight feel they get a much higher-quality shave, meaning they have a more enjoyable experience and don't have as many issues with razor burn or ingrown hairs compared to cartridges.
You absolutely get a closer shave with a straight razor or safety razor than with a cartridge razor, regardless of the amount of blades the cartridge razor has. Try either of them and you’ll immediately see and feel a difference. Not only is the shave superior with a straight/safety compared to a cartridge, either are actually much cheaper in the long run that the cartridge razors.
For simplicity of use, I'd recommend a DE for most head shavers. While a straight razor is certainly fun, it's just not very practical for daily shaving. Takes way too long, IMHO.
Cool. Out of the blue I started dealing with it about 2 years ago. Tried everything! So frustrating. Like clockwork, three days after shaving little "under the skin" type pimples start forming.
+David “HappyRunner” Muñoz Haha! Go at your own pace, my running brother. It's not necessarily something to shoot for. Like I said, I don't usually do this. But I had the time and decided to go for it.
A standard safety razor never mind one of those fancy 5 blade one ect., will do a superior job to the straight edge in every way imaginable. The straight edge is just a gimmick and its only real practical use is for line ups. Remember that in the olden days they had no choice since a safety razor hadn't been invented yet.
Where for art thou Scott, 1 shave video for being held by Remington, 2 shave videos for Gillette and ill start the bring him home campaign with full fundraising unitive!
+Steve thedailyshaver Hahaha. You're funny. I've got one in the pipeline. Just haven't gotten around to editing it. Hopefully it will be up today/tomorrow.
Any man that shaves with a straight razor has balls of steel. Any man that even attempts to shave his head with a straight has balls of unobtainium.
Why, thank you! I don't do the straight on my head often because it takes so much longer, but I love the feel when I'm done. It seems to stay smoother for longer.
+The Clean Shaver should I try the bald style I'm 16 just want start over again black btw

The Clean Shaver I wanted to be bald until I got rid of my really bad dandruff currently eatin healthy to cure it
The Clean Shaver do u shave everyday?
You saved my life!!! Just started lining up my beard with a straight razor and have been doing the sides and top of my head but scared to do the back so would use mach 3 for the back. Thanks for the vid man.
I'm 1 handed , can u pull it off¿¿🤔, and can u explain why your hands are in the positions there in🤔

Amazing shave! I just got a new straight from Max Sprecher and want to start shaving the dome with a straight..

Have you tried "shave butter" from dollar shave club? I've been using it for 10 years or so, and generally prefer it to any cream i have tried
Do you have it on toast or is it straight up for facial hair?
Very nice video. I have just purchased a razor and I will be shaving the whole face and that means including what you just did!
I'm newbie and don't know what they mean why people way say "hard water or soft water " and how that effects your cream

Amazing shave. I just saw Scott Kennard shave his noggin with a straight. Both impressive!
but does it work for other heads?
Most heads can be shaved with a straight razor.
Try shaving with more small strokes instead of 1 or 2 on each pass, just a thought. Good video though man.
What would say are the benefits of shaving your head with a straight razor?
Some people think the shave you get with a straight will last longer, but I don't think there's that big of a difference.
Well that would imply that you're getting a closer shave with a straight razor, which I find unlikely considering the cartridges have 3, 4, or 5 blades vs. the 1 of the straight razor.

Guessing you used the belt as a travel strop?
This has been long enough ago that I actually don't recall. But you're probably right.
Looks Good Brother ! Thank You
Which one you suggest straight edge razor or normal double edge razor
For simplicity of use, I'd recommend a DE for most head shavers. While a straight razor is certainly fun, it's just not very practical for daily shaving. Takes way too long, IMHO.
Brave soul my guy
what a trooper.. kudos to you
it's victor from FB , man your crazy loll , I ain't got the grapefruit for this lmao
+cool willy Aren't we all at least a little crazy? ;-)
Lol yes sirrr
Lathering up that head "all of it", nice. LOL
Blue de Channel is great smelling cologne. I have to check this soap out on your referral...
Thanks for the video. I'm thinking about buying a straight razor set just for my head. Is it a closer shave than a 3 blade razor?
Hard to say for certain. Too many variables, but when it's done right you'll have fewer razor bumps and other similar issues.
You think this could help prevent folliculitis on the head?
Possibly. Using a single blade is almost always going to give you a better shave to prevent ingrown hairs and folliculitis.
Cool. Out of the blue I started dealing with it about 2 years ago. Tried everything! So frustrating. Like clockwork, three days after shaving little "under the skin" type pimples start forming.
Nice 👍 Job
Great video
Great job, Scott! Shoot, maybe if I buy a big tub of Soap Commanders "Courage," I'll build enough courage to attempt the straight razor shave!😀
+David “HappyRunner” Muñoz Haha! Go at your own pace, my running brother. It's not necessarily something to shoot for. Like I said, I don't usually do this. But I had the time and decided to go for it.
+The Clean Shaver True! One day.....one day! Keep it up, you rock brother!
Excellent ! Congratulations (and keep your bald and bearded look)
+hairycueball I'm enjoying it. Thanks!
Very informative, i KNEW
it existed (instruction how 2 shave own head with STRAIGHT razor.)
,
Thanks for watching. While it exists, I don't feel it's the best way to do it. Takes too long, if you ask me.

I shave my face with a straight razor without a problem but somehow my head terrifies me, will give it another try. thanks for the video
You're a brave man!! :-D
+Elliot Voris Honestly, I was more than a little nervous...
Were you shaving your thoughts? No I'm joking nice vid it was very interesting
I have a question. Why shave your head if you are already bald headed?
I’m only completely bald on top and my wife and I don’t like the look of hair all around my head.
@@TheCleanShaver ok.

WOW ! If I had hair I would of taken a str8 razor and shaved it smooth after watching you ! You are Bold and Bald ! Or is that Bald and Bold ?
+BaldStanley Either way, I'd be proud of the title. Thanks for watching!
👍🏻

+Sveinung Hamre Excellent! Thanks for the tip!
Anyone who shaves knows you are really shaving, I can hear the hair being cut
I will stick with my safty razor. Straught razor can slice an ear off before you know it.
Wow! Respect! But the Close-ups... No! Not for me, thank you Sir! Nevertheless: respect!
+Grizzly MausBear Close-ups?
The red areas on the top.
10:33 for example. And all the time expecting van Gogh 2.0. ;-)
Grizzly MausBear Oh, I get it.
Brother don't wash your razor just use a tissue, it gives the razor a longer life spam
Shave against the grain?
Straight razor is less likely to give you bumps going against the grain
