I've always found it weird that people even consider this swap as an "upgrade", I think the 87-93 front is just the most generic looking front ever, put any brand logo on it and it works. Maybe because I grew up with mundane cars with a similar "face" : Renault 19, Citroen AX, Renault 21, Ford Sierra...
I get that definitely. And I agree, the 4 eye is definitely a more interesting front end. for me, the earlier model year front end messes up the body lines, I know its just an optical illusion but I feel it makes the front of the car look too 'long' in relation to the back of the car. The flatter style of the aero nose makes the car have better proportions in my eyes. Thanks for watching!
For me I think the 4 eye can look better, but the aero nose is what I grew up seeing tearing up the streets and ripping donuts so it makes me nostalgic for the time I grew up specifically
I think you made a cool choice on this one bud, I like all styles of foxbody mustangs but I do prefer the newer aero styling over the square boxy style.. boxy just doesn't fit the sleek body design in my own personal opinion.. can't wait to see where this goes 😁 - Your Main Man From BC 🇨🇦
The builds that most people say are controversial end up being some of the best cars with the most effort put into them cant wait to see where this goes and how many people it pisses off
@@LooseFab haha true! Only hangup I could see is if the side fenders are to small for the aero nose on yours, then the 88 side fenders will probably be to big for the 4 eye nose.
@@LukePowerstancedUp oops just saw this now, the fenders are actually the same! There's a plastic piece of trim that goes with the Aero nose to fill in the gap
Yeah I'll keep my eyes peeled, they don't seem to be too expensive either! I got a set when I bought this front end but they are pretty rusted so I'd love to get a set that I can just bolt right on.. Maybe use the old fender to cut up and make some over fenders!
My frontal lobe finished developing and now I'm considering putting the original front back on lol. Now that my S197 is "finished" I'm also considering making this the primary focus of the channel
i bet a little of it came straight from the factory lol! Felt like I was counting the rings of a tree when I was cleaning that stuff out, im surprised I didnt strike oil
In the foxbody world doing this is a sin ,i done one like this myself because my front-end was trashed when i bought the shell .mine is a 79 cobra and ive got a 87lx front and it looks fantastic
People definitely aren't too thrilled about it it seems but I really like the more modern front end! A 79 cobra would be a ton of fun. Thanks for watching!

The big heavy crash structure you removed actually also fits on top of 89-93. Give it a try! It works, you can thank me later :)

fenders had plastic extensions to fit up. very Pricey now.
I do have a set of them (I didn't know they were pricey) but they don't work on the 4 eye fenders
If you can find a pair of 87-93 LX front fenders they will bolt up with your bumper and reduce your fabrication with the oe fenders.
