Hell yea
Hell yeah😎
Need more s197 action
It's coming don't worry, I have more plans for that build and more events I want to go to! I have something big planned that has been taking up more time than I expected but I'm going to show you all soon!
Hell yeah. So stoked to see this thing in action. Wish I could find a non rusty roller for cheap to do the same lol
Crazy that they were so cheap a few years ago now they've gotten so hard to find! I've always loved the coupes, so stoked to be building this one!
If you cut the rad support and fab you're own, I imagine you'll have more/better options for mounting the intercooler and radiator. This is a pretty ambitious solo build, looking forward to the wiring and tuning part for sure...
@@Four_Eyes that's a very good point as well. I do worry that I'll hate the look of a square tubing rad support but maybe I can do something to make it more visually appealing. Definitely the biggest build I've taken on so far, but really excited to see what new skills I have to learn to finish it! Thanks for watching, looking forward to the next chapter of your build as well!
Super underrated youtube channel, keep it up!!

That's a great idea!! You should go in and at least ask, might be a cool story! Let me know how it goes!
I own a v6 07’ , its not fast at all but it feels super fun . Also its been so reliable, even on long road trips its been great . Your build is sick man , love seeing this generation getting love . 🫡
heck yeah dude thanks for the kind words! Those v6s actually make some pretty good power, i bet that thing is still a hoot! keeping it all stock for now or are you planning to do any mods to it?
One of the Best Tig welding cart ideas I've seen Will be incorporating this into my new Tig cart 🤷🏾♂️
@@drec7366 glad to hear it! This setup is still going strong and I'm very happy with it. Would love to know how yours turns out!
If you clean the mill-scale off of the metal the welds will come out better!
I have certainly gotten a lot better at tig welding, I wish somebody would have told me this sooner! Great advice!
I love my 3v but even with a tune, cams, cold air intake, long tubes, and straight pipe, you will still be under 350whp lol coming from a guy with a 600whp 3v
Dang what all have you got done to make that sort of power at the wheels? 👀 I bet that things rowdy
@@LooseFab built engine with turbo, cams fuel upgrades etc
Should put 4:10s in the rear end. Will really help with drifting. Stock 3:55s won’t be any help. 4:10s will definitely help you fry those tires 🤟
I had definitely been considering it! I have a buddy with a new edge and he upgraded to 4.10s and finds that they are a bit too short for the tracks we drive.. Do you think 3.73s would be a good compromise?
@@LooseFab I have 3;73s in my 3 valve and they still fry the tires really well. That would probably be good for you if 4;10s are too short
@@3vGuru okay awesome! I'll have to add that to the list of future mods for me! What else have you got done to your 3v?
hahahaah bravo!!! thanks for sharing your experience!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching!
YESS!!!!!!! exactly what i was looking for this video and you and offcourse the build lols!
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed!!
Man what do u to afford all the stuff? Wanna start building my car to but don’t know where to start
Doing a build this quick was a first for me. I actually had to sell a different project (my ae86) which was a sad day, but it allowed me to ball out on a lot of parts all at once. I'd make a list of all the parts you want for your car, and maybe break it up into 'phases'. might be easier to decide what to buy and when!
Always thought these things would be cool drift cars. They are getting close to the sweet spot price wise and have a ton of parts for them. I can’t tell if it’s the camera angles but it looks like there could be some improvement made to your caster. It looks like you are leading the wheel a lot to correct. If you can mess with caster and get it to fully self steer that’s the sweet spot. Along some left foot baking to transition and pull down speed is mint for tight corners.
I definitely agree! People love or hate the body style but I love them, and hard to beat for the price! v8 power without having to pay the coyote tax. and like you said, parts are cheap and plentiful! You're definitely right about leading the wheel, apparently these cars are notorious for having little to no self steering (something to do with the rack). I have the caster maxed out with the fdf plates right now. I've been trying to get the hang of left foot braking and how to use the handbrake but there is definitely a learning curve to it! Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching dude!
@@LooseFab interesting, did not realize the chassis was prone to low self steer. I’m sure the boys at FDF will figure something out eventually for them. Josiah is a madman. The best looking car is one that works and has somebody who can wheel. Both my drift cars when I bought them I was meh on them, but I ended up loving them after working on them and driving them for ever.
@@SDSGarage89 Yeah, it was something I was aware of before buying it just from watching other guys on here with them, they all seem to mention it! I'm a big fan of your foxbody, what made you meh on it when you first got it?
@@LooseFab I didn’t have anything against them, I just wasn’t super drawn to them. I was not actively looking for a Foxbody when I bought mine but wanted a JZ, just never thought it would be in Foxbody. Definitely like foxbody’s now after driving it for a while. Had the same experience with my E46.
06 3V owner here. Only thing you need to worry about is changing your oil every 3,000 miles. This first generation of cam phasers are ok but need to be continuously bathed in fresh oil or they will get clogged and may become damaged. I hope you continue to enjoy the car :)
That's awesome to know, thanks for the advice! This car is getting some hard miles on it so I'll have to make sure to stay on top of those oil changes! Thanks for watching!
let me go ahead and subscribe
Thanks dude! Tons of episodes out for this car now, it turned out really cool
fenders had plastic extensions to fit up. very Pricey now.
I do have a set of them (I didn't know they were pricey) but they don't work on the 4 eye fenders
Unfortunate. not many original cars are left.
My frontal lobe finished developing and now I'm considering putting the original front back on lol. Now that my S197 is "finished" I'm also considering making this the primary focus of the channel
Gosh Frick I love mustangs mom
What engine oil brand do you use mate?
I usually use pennzoil, but I don't have a lot of brand loyalty when it comes to fluids!
Also a cool thing is that the Fox body all the way through to the New Edge are all pretty much the same chassis, the s197 was a complete redesign from the ground up, not just a new body
It's crazy that one platform lasted that long! I asked around on some Ford groups and learned that, and the redesign was actually a big deciding factor for me to go with the S197!
I've never heard anyone call regular cars "just traffic" but I'm definitely adopting it
Facebook marketplace time lol
Best purchase I've ever made on there for sure!! Except maybe when I bought a whole bunch of barn find rx7s🤣
I had the same feeling of being born in the wrong generation lol. Being born in 99 makes me feel like I missed out on the prime days of fox and sn95.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! The upside is we get to see some of thr wild new stangs they're coming out with, even if I can't afford them lol!
Crazy to hear you managed to snag a car for that low, I live in the rust belt area of the US and there's no way I'd be able to find a manual three valve in decent condition for less than $12k USD here. Everyone else is always coyote this, coyote that, and forget that the three valve is a solid basis to work from as long as your end goal isn't a dyno number and you can find one for a decent price.
Definitely got lucky dodging the rust up here in Canada as well! Not easy to do but I guess you get that better than anyone lol! Just gotta keep your eyes peeled and hop on a good deal when it comes up! Good luck with the search!
@@LooseFab I'm afraid I already used up all my luck lol. My current car is a 1999 V6 I'm using to learn manual before I step up to a more powerful 3 valve later on. It had 50k miles and absolutely no rust, for $5k usd. May not have very much in terms of power but at least I have no worries when it comes to corrosion till I can find an equally clean three valve.
Super cool to see someone praise the 3 valve so much. I've had mine for a year now. Loving this build series!
Thanks dude! You still loving yours? I had no idea that I'd be such a big fan of the 3v but now that I own one, I am definitely a big fan!
@LooseFab Absolutely! It makes me super excited to get up and drive every day even it its just to work. I haven't done any mods (about to do springs and tint) but I see it as the perfect blank canvas car. I'm glad yo hear you're enjoying yours!
How many miles does your Mustang have🤔
It's got about 65k miles!
@@LooseFabI payed 5800 for a 08 with 109k miles about three months ago🥲
@@danearias8325 I'm willing to bet it was in nicer shape than this one! This one's got lots of stone chips and the like. Comparison is the thief of joy, just because this one was cheaper doesn't mean yours wasn't still a smoking deal!
Damn I paid 8 for mine with 63k. I guess it depends on what area you live in. Even if it wasn't the best deal, I'd do it again, I love that car
I’m stuck. Wiring terminator x to an LS, have a walbro 450 fuel pump, the green Holley fuel pump trigger wire to the brown wire on the included relay, red to battery, have an orange wire that says to fuel pump (says that in the relay wire) black relay wire is grounded (good ground, checked it for resistance, bare metal, proper crimped terminal) My question is, the terminator x powers up with key on, so at the first power up, should the fuel pump kick on? Or does the 3” screen have to be programmed for a fuel pump? I put in the data for the 80lb hr injectors, but see nothing about fuel pump ? I’m not smart. My apologies. But, you’ll have a brand new dumb friend in Kentucky if you ever need one. 😂
this is definitely tricky to do without seeing what youre working with! but i did some googling and re-read my holly manual. Red to battery- is this from the relay? Is the ecu itself run straight to the battery? (it needs to be) orange wire - I dont see that in the manual. is that coming from the holly or is that wire coming from the relay? black wire. doesnt take much to show good resisitance, try re doing the ground somewhere else. The relay is grounded, does your fuel pump need to be grounded as well? Check for power at the relay and see if the relay isnt activating or if it just isnt getting power.
that thumbnail is insane

Ran through the same issue. I got the scotidi dual caliper with the brake line and handbrake kit. I drilled a couple holes that i decided to run through the mounting bracket for the rear seats and had to route across the axle and make sure the upper control arms doesnt hit the brake lines or fittings 🤦🏻♂️
Man I thought I was going crazy when I was struggling this hard, glad I'm not alone! I have to check out the seat mount as an option, that sounds promising! Thanks for the idea!
