Also a limited spoilers review of the mythic paths and companions from a story perspective as well as mechanics perspective (with full spoilers at the end). You know more about this game than anyone else on YT, and I think we’d all welcome your definitive final review and guides. Most of the guides would probably just be tiny tweaks to existing content. Haunting Mist is quite broken actually. Makes Act 1 a breeze. Throw that baby on top of Shadow Demon and go get a drink, he'll be dead from WIS loss when you come back, him and Succubus in Act 1 are my fav uses so far for this spell. Extreme cheese.
it also looks good for pushing some enemies closer into melee because they can't really shoot from range from the look of it. On top of debuffing their stats.
Agreed, it's amazing if you are okay with forgoing attack rolls, and it's really busted if you're using Evil Eye - Saving Throws, to get that wisdom dmg rolling.. Stack it with some grease, web, entanglements and you've got a really nice attribute killer early on. Also ignores spell resistance, this is a beautiful spell for a caster oriented party early, and helps with will saves later on. I would actually say this is a must for a DC caster, (Nenio comes to mind).
Going to put it here, so we can upvote one comment and increase the chances: I also think there's new Kineticist Infusions besides the ones from the new archetype. I saw Air's Reach pop in my Infusion list and I guarantee it wasn't there the last time I played

Ah, intesified spell, my beloved. On tabletop, there's a background feat that lowers the cost of one metamagic by one, to a minimum of zero. It's extremely common to get that as a magus and always intesify a shocking grasp for free. Its good for any caster, but that's the most common application.
Yea it makes the Magus kit possibly useful this time round. Normally the kit with off hand spell casting is just gimping yourself in dps since a .5 str increase on all attacks for 2 handing deals much more damage than a measly shocking grasp attack. Then if you go Eldritch Scion you can take 2 bloodlines and convert all your spell damage to a single element and enhance it by 1d6 damage as well. And of course mythic element thingy to ignore damage resistance and you're good to go. It's a bit of an investment but probably worth it.
There is a great use for the incendiary runes spell. For the magic deceiver arcanist subclass, you fuse it with another element spell like shocking grasp or snowball or acid touch. You need to have the according ascendant element mythic feats and elemental barrage, it will proc elemental barrage twice on a small zone with just 1 1st level spell without caring for spell resistance or the save (as base damage is low and even half will still proc the elemental barrage). I suppose it is made to keep the magic deceiver good in later levels even though you have only level 6 spells cap.
Your talk about intensify with hellfire ray made me check how much damage the last blaster I played did (without intensify). It was 1755 damage per cast, bypassing all immunities and resistances, and with 64 spell slots to cast it. Imagine adding intensify to that!
It should increase the damage by about one-third, assuming a CL of 20 or higher. It might be time to whip up another Eldritch Archer soon. Although I'm sure they removed the yank from Kingmaker's interaction between the class and that particular spell. 150d6 in sneak attack dmg alone, per attack, that is.
Looking Forward to seeing some builds based on the new Archetypes. Red Mantis Fanatic Aeon sounds pretty cool thematically given the role Achekek has in the lore (enforcer/assassin for the gods, unwilling/unable to strike down *legitimate* authority).
I just started a Red Mantis and am wondering what mythic is most thematic, problem it feels that Devil is the most correct one, but is also means playing with arguably the weakest Mythic path of them all (Aeon to Devil).
@@someother5512 I don't think you'd have to go full devil. If you look up Achekek in the lore, I think Aeon might fit better. But if you're determined to go devil, then yeah you get the lesser package.

I assume that arcane tricksters ability to force the enemy to be considered flat footed would also work with ambuscading spell. I am not that keen on arcane spirit. Other than for charisma based characters, at low levels, enemy perception checks are often rather high. For example, dretches have 15 perception, babaus have 23 perception. You will seldom encounter a demon enemy which doesnt have 15+ perception in chapter 1. You will need the same persuasion modifier to have a 50/50 chance, and a modifier 10 (well 9 technically) higher to do this reliably. With +5 charisma, and the class bonus, your persuasion will be 8 + character level, assuming you pump it and significantly lower for non charisma characters. To get your chances well up early game, you need to invest multiple feats just for this one ability. And if you succeed, the payoff is also not very good - it increases the chance of failure by 10% for 1 target. The dcs you want to land at low level are AOE crowd controls, and this can never effect more than 1 target per round. At higher levels, swift actions are a valuable resource (at the very least, every caster will have access to a quickened rod) and battles are frequently on a larger scale and -2 to save to one target per cast of spell is generally going to be negligible and not worth the hassle even if you dont have a swift action to use. Its every bit as faffy as bane of spirit, without anything like the potential impact.
Intensified Spell is pretty much mandatory now I think, UNLESS you don't take Bolster for some reasons... The 5 additional levels of dices will massively boost Bolster damage and they BOTH cost only 1 level up too, pretty much the best combo you can ask for especially with favorite metamagic making both cost 0. Legend casters are now very viable with this DLC tbh take Lich and boost the Mythic spells with this I think you can go a long way.
Legit you could. You could selective haunting mists your party for concealment, enemies run in and suffer wisdom damage while they miss most of their attacks
when the pets are fixed in a patch... what pet class would you recommend for a hippogriffin ? does "bully" make sense because of the level 7 aoe trip ?
Haunting Mist is really rather good. You can sneak/go invisible drop it on a pack of enemies and then wait for them to die. It's mostly good early game. With this spell I took out the Tower of Estrod without initiating combat.
Heaven’s Wing Strike on a Magus is fantastic. As you’ll probably be focused on evocation and be getting up close and personal it lets you for almost no investment in feats or mythic abilities you probably wouldn’t take have a strong area of effect crowd control spell.
Unfortunately, I assume its a bug, but intensified spell does not raise the cap of chain lightening. My guess is because its coded differently, hence they had to separately cap this spell as of a recent prior patch. This is a big nerf for Azatas in particular. But yes it is fantastic for hellfire ray AND if you have Razmir ring, it works with Devil's hellfire ray. That said, so does the mask, and two free casts of hellfire ray, or a free cast and another spell, is clearly better that a 33% increase to 1 cast. You are generally 1 shotting enemies with a decent hellfire ray build anyway, so more damage is often just more overkill.
So just as a goof, I built a character with greater dispel, dispel focus, greater dispel focus, dispel synergy, destructive dispel, ambuscading spell, spell spirit, and piercing spell. Then went legend for 40 levels of caster and prestige classes. So a +44 to dispel everything, followed by up to a -8 to their saves on my next spell, which forces them to try and beat their new spell resistance of 50 something in order to cast a spell. Is it good? probably not. Is it funny as hell to tell some of the most powerful casters in the game to knock it off? Very much so.
Come and Get me sounds like a nice power for instinctual warriors who are going to get really high AC and starting from Act 3 the -4AC is kinda negligible, but then again, they're also going to get really high initiative, so chances are most fights will be over during the surprise round before they even get hit...
I wonder if its a toggle or if you have to keep activating it every round. Its absolutely game changer as it will mean no longer needing 10 lvs of aldori defender to get counterattack, and that it'll work for more than just dueling swords.
I'm wondering if feint would be a good pickup on a vital striking build. While I'm aware that vital striking is far from meta, it could be a viable route on some more generalist builds that have other jobs but still want to hit things hard occasionally. When the enemy runs up to you, it would be fun indeed to feint and then smack them with a massive 4x damage vital strike (that would also be even more fun if it happened to crit).
I guess Feint means use you can do Shatter Defenses Strike without Dazzling display and shatter defense feat, they really boost Persuasion specialist to the highest in this new DLC
@@violau8550 I'd add that it's superior to shatter in one way: I could be wrong but don't think feint counts as a mind-affecting effect, so should work on things that are immune to shaken, like undead (if you aren't an undead bloodline sorcerer or dirge bard) and constructs.
@@Alister222222 hmmm I played mod feint specialist Monk Archetype before, it use Wis as Persuasion Bluff skill, and it's mind affecting skill, can't work on undead or animal. Hey, who knows maybe Dirge Bard can make good use of it.
@@violau8550 It seems from an RP point of view it shouldn't be; it makes sense that demoralize wouldn't affect a construct because it doesn't have emotions, but feint absolutely should, because it does have a 'mind'. If you're doing a kind of 'fake out' move to trick your target, it shouldn't matter if its undead, a plant, or a construct - no matter what it is, as long as it has a mind it should be able to be tricked (which is why it annoys me that you can't trick a spider as it has only 1 int, making it ineligible; I'd think a spider would be very easy to fake out with a move like this). The one exception would be some kind of being that can see the future or read your mind, in which case they would recognize a trick and thus be immune to it, but every other creature should, at least in an RP sense, be susceptible to it.
@@Alister222222 Yeah that makes sense, since animal or undead just act based on instinct and natural behaviour, feint means make them do one thing but you do another thing instead. Ah well, good thing is this Wrath most are demon with mind, unlike Kingmaker there are tons of undead. (Which that's why I gave up play Feint Monk mod in Kingmaker)
I fell like Come get me would be pretty strong on bloodrager since you can use arcane bloodline to always have displacement when raging and you can cast mirror image.
Hello! Loved the video as always. Just wanted to point out in testing, fused haunting mists doesn't apply the effects of the other spell. I presume this is because it doesn't actually "target" anything, just creates the fog, but it doesn't work even with other aoe spells, i.e. fireball. I doubt this is intended, so hopefully it's fixed soon.
I could see Acrobatic Spellcaster having some use on a magus who doesn't take the L20 capstone. As much as I love maguses, no matter how high you get your concentration you still always seem to sometimes fail and cop a bunch of opportunity attacks when you're using spell combat. If you toggle on the acrobatic mode, I imagine this means you'd then have a chance to negate the opportunity attack using your mobility when you roll that nat-1 on your concentration check. It's still not a strong feat per se, but that's pretty much the one use case I can think of where it might be useful.
can't wait for you to make a munchkin build guide for the sable company archetype. Currently leaning towards dipping 4 lvls to titan fighter to dual wield fauchards or maybe longspears but i heard longspear double damage from charge is not working
Would this intensified spell feat make the magus kit mechanic of using a touch spell as a free weapon attack worth it? Currently using the spell combat or whatever it is called actually lowers your dps because of losing the 50% str bonus to damage rolls. Hmmmm... this could be interesting. Going with completely normal spell from Trickster to cast 20d6 damage touch attacks with Shocking Grasp every round may be worth it. You'll need to invest in electricity damage though. Otherwise you have Corrosive Touch, but that's a d4 spell.
Havent you missed the new feat that allows raging classes (including scald) to power attack with con bonuses? I am not sure if this stacks with strength or not. Come and get me looks potentially great for a insightful rager for example, or a build with vampiric blade could use it more safely, particularly as you can block crits. Edit: its raging brutality, requires rage, power attack and 12 BAB and a swift action lasting only 1 turn, so this is a potentially significant limitation. It adds con to damage only, or 1.5 con with a two hander. I assume this stacks with strength. Doesnt multiply on crit. The description states expend some of your rage, but I have no idea if it uses up rounds, which would be moot for limitless rage anyway, but might tax skalds rather heavily, who would go from using 1 point every 3 rounds to potentially using 2 per round (you could no longer stop and restart to maximise lingering song as this is also a swift action). Its not at all clear what this means specifically from the description. It could just be flavour text. A demon or azata in particular (or lategame Aeon) can push constitution very high, so this could be a large damage increase.
Unfortunately Final Feint does not seem to work currently. And there is also some bugs with animal companions right now. I hope it gets patched soon, really wanna do a playthrough with these new goodies!
This mean we're gonna soon see some fresh hot new builds using more of the archetypes from this and Lord of Nothing? I would love to see what you could come up with for weretouched from lord of nothing, or that slayer archetype you said something about being a good summoner...
I recall you mentioning in one of your videos that they changed the way Shatter Defenses works in the new patch, but couldn’t find a break down on that. Did I imagine it?
False on Haunting Mists my dude...just use True Seeing theres no reason you cant get it off on all your guys with Mythic OP bullshit...and also Mythic Metamagic "Selection" ...voala your allies are now not being harmed by it in any way. And the mythic selection meta mastery doesnt even increase its spell level...spell slaps mid game.
They really design a lot of new feats and attack to boost CHA and Persuasion base caster, aka Bard and Skald. And lets not forget the Mythic Inspiration boost EVERY Inspire ability, including Bard, Skald and Barbarian Inspire Ferocity. And the 'Come and Get Me" seem good for tank and dex barbarian with high attack of opportunity, about survivability... i wonder maybe use Last Stand, Die Hard, and Azata friendship bond?? I mean now with Azata, you can use Breath of Life to revive any teammate that are dying but still standing now

It's still not a strong feat per se, but that's pretty much the one use case I can think of where it might be useful.
Does Ambuscading spell work with shattered defense and frightful aspect?
New Bard archetype can sing and make enemies flatfooted
Will you be making new pf builds for the new update?
Im definitely giving the Chelaxian Diva a go as a sort of melee hybrid bard, gonna see how it works with a Dhampir
can't wait for you to make a munchkin build guide for the sable company archetype. Currently leaning towards dipping 4 lvls to titan fighter to dual wield fauchards or maybe longspears but i heard longspear double damage from charge is not working
Early waiting for new builds
Looking forward to new builds for the DLC
Do you think we can get another OP Demon Build for the DLC? Looking to get back into this game and dont want an outdated build.
The Diva Bard Class. Should have gotten the Diva Talents and Fient skill...missdd opportunity.
When will you finish your special class build series? The racial, the ones from lord of nothing and the ones from this new dlc?
Lategame skald can wear singing steel breasplate making his rage song a free action.
can I have a bladebound build please? ))
I love intensified spell, I usually get it in tabletop, so I was disappointed that until now it wasn't an option in the CRPG
10:30 Thats also gonna be really nice with force sphere
Intensified Battering Ram might be fun for Force Mage xD
Magus got some new spells and skills?
Has any of your builds suffer from the new updates ?
Are all these new features and classes also useable in the main campaign or just the dlc story?
DLC story is inside main campaingn. There is no standalone version. They do work for previous DLS standalone stories
You did actually miss one feat. It's called "spell bane" or some such. It increases your DC by 2 if your weapons has the Bane ability on it.
My biggest issue with feint is that you need to spend too much resources on that to actually benefit from it
Unfortunately Final Feint does not seem to work currently. And there is also some bugs with animal companions right now.
I hope it gets patched soon, really wanna do a playthrough with these new goodies!
thank u!!!
Where are the build videos Bro? I'm sorry, love the content
Heyyyy can we get a bloodseeker build please !!!
This mean we're gonna soon see some fresh hot new builds using more of the archetypes from this and Lord of Nothing? I would love to see what you could come up with for weretouched from lord of nothing, or that slayer archetype you said something about being a good summoner...
Pet/Summoner builds and setups boned again. Not surprised. = (
Summoners are pretty strong right now, probably stronger than hellfire ray casters
Wait, are you filming the screen?
Nope, just recording the in game at ultra wide.
You should cover Shadow of the Erdtree next!
I recall you mentioning in one of your videos that they changed the way Shatter Defenses works in the new patch, but couldn’t find a break down on that.
Did I imagine it?
How do you cast HF ray 3 times per turn?
standart action, swift action with rod, move action if you are demon(6) or aeon(10), free action with new new DLC mask. Could be 4 max
My guess would be a demonic caster with the aspect of the Coloxus. Allows to cast spells as move actions during demonic rages.
It seems they nerfed grave singer as it no longer appears to have the huge crit range.
Make the sable company marine build next, please :) I want to expand my party's air force.
These are just for the dlc or for the original game as well?
They’re added into the whole game
Archetypes and weapons are dlc. All of the spells and feats listed here except for archetype specific ones are added as part of the update.
All of it, cool, you did good at introducing new dlc. But, man, it looks more like teasing, where is new cool builds?)
Excruciating mutation is great for a magus.
I hope we get new builds
wth is the point of those feint Feats?! Cost is high for mid utility
False on Haunting Mists my dude...just use True Seeing theres no reason you cant get it off on all your guys with Mythic OP bullshit...and also Mythic Metamagic "Selection" ...voala your allies are now not being harmed by it in any way. And the mythic selection meta mastery doesnt even increase its spell level...spell slaps mid game.
new builds plzzzz
give builds first please
First!!!
This dude seems like he puts to much into this game
They really design a lot of new feats and attack to boost CHA and Persuasion base caster, aka Bard and Skald. And lets not forget the Mythic Inspiration boost EVERY Inspire ability, including Bard, Skald and Barbarian Inspire Ferocity.
And the 'Come and Get Me" seem good for tank and dex barbarian with high attack of opportunity, about survivability... i wonder maybe use Last Stand, Die Hard, and Azata friendship bond?? I mean now with Azata, you can use Breath of Life to revive any teammate that are dying but still standing now
Still no teamwork feats for ranged characters? No enfilading fire? 🥲
