Spent a few days parked up here in my motorhome watching the planes come and go. Used to wander up to the airport cafe in the evening for a meal.....usually i was the only customer! They stopped the parking where i was now due to the Machair damage. I loved Barra and have fond memories of it.
Bulletguy07 sounds amazing and really love that wee cafe in the terminal! Thanks for the great comment and 100% agree with you about that part of the world :)
Jacques Mertens thanks for watching and for the feedback :) I’m only 6 months into this world of UA-cam and I promise to keep listening to what people say and adapt my channel accordingly. Have a great day 👍🏼
that was wonderful! and so appreciated, i’m quarantined here at home with the {dread} virus, and it’s honestly hard to get out of my head...so thank you for this time to dream...and make true someday!
I used the flight in 3rd July 2008 Barra-Benbecula-Barra cost £30 then .Magic taking off from the beach with the water splashing past the window.conventional landing strip at Benbecula but magic again landing on Bara beach .The pilot was a woman .
I really like your videos ,, I'm hoping to visit Barra when I go back to visit my family in Scotland. I will remain optimistic and I have no intentions of cancelling my trip ( leaving my home here in central B.C. on August 24th ). God willing we will all come out of this awful situation in the not too distant future ,, I'll enjoy your videos in the meantime ,, take care.
munnjean thanks so much for watching! I’m confident you’ll be absolutely fine by then - my fingers are crossed for you! My next trip to Svalbard in June is just coming round too early I fear. Take care and thanks again
Nicely done; I'm wondering if they do anything to prevent salt corrosion, like washing the aircraft down as they do on some maritime patrol aircraft. Thanks for this.

The airstrip in the desert of Oman was interesting having flown across the high mountains from the coast near Muscat.

Good point - those wee planes must need a good jet-wash after each day, especially with the strict maintenance requirements for aviation!
