My favorite band ever. I'm 36 and first heard them my freshman year of high school. I went and saw them play in Houston (the woodlands) back in October, Little Rock in March and I'm trying to go see them in Dallas in September. I did see them live once in 99, best show of my life!
Hell yes man. Been a maggot since i was ~15, saw them live for the first time in february 2020, and good fucking lord they delivered. And it was even in our shittiest venue as well (the sound is gaaaarbage there)

I'm almost 43 and been a fan since they dropped. Seen them twice, before Paul passed. Front row for the 2nd show. Beyond incredible both times.

I grew up on straight hip-hop, Tupac, Biggie, Wu-Tang, Nas, the typical 90s East Coast and West Coast hip hop. Then my boy introduced me to Slipknot in 1999 and they've been my favorite band ever since. I subscribed and hit the Bell just for the fact that you guys react to so much Slipknot. Y'all reaction is amazing, keep up the great videos.

The house was in Des Moines, Iowa. Where Slipknot is from. They rented it to do the video. Invited about 350 fans, referred to lovingly as maggots, to come listen to the song, which hadn't been heard by the public yet. It was the only song they played the entire time. Fans all the way from the Ukraine came to it. Production for the video was about 300-500k. However, the destruction caused. Put the budget over a million. As the band was held responsible for the repairs.
Slipknot has kinda been that release for the angst ridden person. That has that anger bubbling in them, but doesn't have the right way to let it out. This song is about trying to deal with that and the pain of feeling alone and unheard. Something most teens feel and feel alienated about.

I always heard it was a friend's property and they knew what was going to happen. They asked people to destroy it. Doesn't change what you said but it's not quite as sensational to hear all the details. 🤷♂️
@@LanceThompsonKssooner the first kid seen is a kid from the UK who flew over just to be in the video. The last guy seen in the video is who’s house it was. It was getting renovated and needed tearing apart, the label paid $50,000 to the guy for the renovation costs in exchange for letting Slipknot and the Maggots tear it to shreds!

A fan offered his house, because he was going to remodel for $10,000. So Slipknot put it out there for 100 fans to show up.... over 1000 fans showed up and caused over $50,000 in damages! Slipknot over paid the Faithful follower, who offered his Crib!

Yeah the band put a callout to it's fans to have their next video shot at their house and one lucky person was chosen for the honor. Afterwards the band rebuilt their house as a reward and thank you. Maggot for life!

This video is great, like they bought a dilapidated house on the outskirts of Des Moines, invited fans for a free video shoot and let 'em tear it to the ground, too cool.
They didn't buy the house, a fan was renovating it and let them shoot the video in the house also they weren't supposed to do any major damage to the house but alot of fans ended up doing it anyways, in the end Corey paid the owner of the house for the damages.
Also love that there was a young fan from the UK who found out about the shoot, and turned up to the US using borrowed money from his grandmother, and as he had no where to stay Corey paid for a hotel for him

The fans are actually tearing that house apart... the label was pissed. They rented that house for a few days from an old couple and had to buy them a new house.. there were so many people in that house,they were falling through floor.

You guys should definitely check out their song ''Before I forget'' It won a Grammy and it's my personal favorite. The music video is pretty creative in that they are not wearing their masks but their faces are still obscured by clever camera work.

You remind me of my best friend Bryant (RIP Brother) Who passed away 5 or so years ago. He was a blast to hang out with. I'm a total white guy and he was a brother to the core. Two totally different walks of life and color who pushed it to the edge. I miss that Brother everyday. He OD'd on Fentanyl when I was on a trip to Texas and on my way home I got a phone call just before I boarded my flight home. I held it together till I got home then walked into a dark quiet empty house. I lost my shit and did not leave my house for a week. Shitty part was he never really messed with that kind of stuff. The whole thing sucks.....
